That is your proof you are more likly to be a terrorist if you a Muslim in New York city?

No. I've never said that. I'm actually not sure where you're getting that. But it's a pretty racist thing to say.

Yep started under Carter and he was wrong to do it.

I see, you just chose not to mention Carter. Got it.

Btw. Carter did the right thing. Helping Afghanistan defend itself from the Soviets was the proper thing to do. If there was any mistake, it was not continuing to help just after the Soviets had been defeated.

They dont even NEED to spin it. They just need to link to the various polls that show most Americans have an unfavorable opinion about muslims, and see that anti-mosque hysteria isnt just about this one sensitive sites... similar protests are happening in other places, and the phenomenon will keep growing.

I question things because I am human. And call no one my father who's no closer than a stranger

You really don't think that terrorists and their sympathizers won't spin this? That's rather naive.

Did I ever say they wouldn't spin it? No. So don't know where your off-the-wall judgement of "naive" is coming from.

Probably has something to do with the constant terrorism committed by Muslims worldwide.

Yes, because that's so what my post said/was about.

I will guess you are talking about one of your posts in this threat and not the OP. This thread is quite huge.

Do you actually see what other's write, or does your monitor have words from an alternate universe on it?

I try to read what others write, but that can be a challenge here at times. And after 110 pages is there anything more to read in this thread?

Alternate universe ... OH this is a joke I see. :D

Carter did not help, but Presidents after did. Which is how the Muhajedeen came to be, which end up evolving into the Taliban.

The Mujahideen is a product of the Soviet invasion.

Partially correct...

But they were funded and armed as a proxy of the CIA/US State Department for the purposes of stopping the spread of Communism into Afghanistan...

The fact that they were also Islamic extremists was never really considered...

The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!

Exactly! Bigotry can be caused by all kinds of things. Most Americans dont like muslims because of terrorism. So why not just come out and say it? Why the 200+ pages of horse shit about "we arent bigots we just want them to empathize!".

Just face the facts. Its not just about ground zero. Mosques in Newyork, Tenesee, and California are being protested because a whole lot of Americans dont like muslims.

There... /thread over.

Good point, spot on.

I don't like the IRA or ETA because of terrorism...

Does that make me anti-Catholic or anti-Basque????

Absolutely. And that was a good thing. The Soviets were the aggressors.

Possibly.

Obviously I'm talking about the post of mine that you quoted and responded to. That seriously wasn't clear to you? You have to "guess" which one I am talking about? Which makes me wonder even more if you see what's actually been written.

No joke. I seriously wonder if some of you see what's actually written, or if you just see what you want to see, because it's difficult to tell from the responses sometimes. In fact, if I had to put money on it, I'd go with you just see what you want to see....

Splintered is more accurate. The Muhajedeen spintered into a number of groups...the northern allaince being one of them..our of one of the splinters, the Taliban emerged. The point is, the Taliban emerged after the Soviets exetted afghanistan and was a responce to the anarchy and vacuum left behind.

RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS

If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us

Which is perhaps why polls in Canada and the UK show Canadians and Brits have an unfavorable opinion of Muslims, too.

Not historically accurate..

Mr.Najibullah was the Marxist president of Afghanistan. He asked(was told to ask) Moscow for assistance...

The fact that the Mujahideen were Islamic extremists never crept into the minds of the CIA/US State Department operatives. They directly funded these people because the US State Department had no compunction in dealing with murderous criminals,so long as those criminals opposed Marxism/Communism...

This horrendous moral ommission is what has come back to bite them in the posterior....The geographic location of that posterior was the World Trade Centre...

Good answer. Richard Dawson would have tried to give you a smooch.

It's interesting to note that while some go on and on about polls showing that Americans have an unfavorable view of Islam, polls also show that the majority of Americans think Muslims should have the same rights as other religious groups. Yet that fact is never trotted out in this thread because that would be proof that negative views aside, it's not the factor behind the objection to this mosque.

To tell you the truth, I've stopped caring about this threat and its contents. 114 pages of regurgitated crap, I tried to avoid getting back into this thread, but then I said, meh, screw it, let's have some fun. Because when in Idiot Land.....

I see many things here, most are of which I do not want to see. But there you go. No offense AW but you have changed as of late, or is it the full moon this week.

Well....then I'm not sure what that you were saying makes any sense. It doesn't matter how people actually feel, only how things are perceived.
