Oleg Bach Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 The singing rat RAT-singer..says he is sorry to all the young men who are old and powerless because of some strange soul stealing sodmoization policy they tacitly kept for a thousand years - vampires of the most crazed kind who actually believe that soul sucking and but banging actually brings about some sort of eternal vigor and youth - for wacko priests - that should have at least married like those in the eastern church..You would think that they would have figured it out after all this time that men need woman - and Jesus made love to woman - and had a father that made love to his mother - smoke and mirrors and stinky paganism seems to be coming to an end - Christ mentioned capital punishment ONCE.."Any one who harms one of these little ones will wish that they were never born and have a mill stone tied to their necks and be tossed into the sea: If the pope was sorry they would not have done it. Shady Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 You would think that they would have figured it out after all this time that men need woman So instead they seek out little boys? Why not little girls? Why not women in general? I think this is more of a homosexual issue than anything else. Message to gay men. If you're involved as a Priest in the church, leave, you don't belong there!!! Go get help if you're that messed up over your sexuality. You're born that way. Becoming a member of the church won't cure you. Quote
Sir Bandelot Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Probably more because women are abhorred by the catholic church as soul-less abominations. Hence there are no female priests. Quote

bloodyminded Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Ok then, they're gay pedophiles. No, there is a distinction between adult sexuality and pedophilia. Those who tend to assault boys are not usually homosexual. In fact, most of the pedophiles who assault boys, if they DO have sexual attraction to adults as well (and most pedophiles do, contrary to popular belief)...are heterosexual. No, they're not "gay pedophiles." They are simply pedophiles. Attracted to children. Period. .....if the victim is a boy, the assumption is that the offender is gay. And while this might seem to make sense, the vast majority of offenders identify as straight, regardless of the sex of their victim. As this site (The Myth of the Gay Pedophile) explains, it has more to do with availability, as ease of access to the child, than the sex of the child. Some research shows that for pedophiles, the gender of the child is immaterial. Accessibility is more the factor in who a pedophile abuses. Quote
Sir Bandelot Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 No, that's not true. Mary's status within the Catholic church is as high as anyone. And the reason there aren't any female priests has to do with how the church was originally founded, with Jesus and his disciples, all of whom were male. But this isn't the thread to get into the specifics of religious scripture, etc. Why not? I mean, ordinary women. Average, sexual women. These women were killed by the thousands, between the 14th and 18th century. In doing so, the church demonstrates its contempt for women throughout history. And I do not doubt that this contempt still exist, out of fear that such women can lead men away from god. As in, the original sin. But is that not also quite a common viewpoint in some other religions, as well. Quote

But this isn't the thread to get into the specifics of religious scripture, etc. It's certainly pertinent so far as celibacy, which was not an absolute until the 19th century (and still isn't for Eastern Rite and, with the invitation to High Anglicans, potentially those churches as well) may in fact be an underlying contributing factor. The Church has taken an impossible position. Priestly celibacy is not doctrinal in nature, and yet it persists, even as evidence mounts that it has created a major problem that is going to end up costing the Church hundreds of millions (if not billions) of dollars, and damage its reputation incalculably. The Church had a chance of JPII's death to pick a Pope more capable of handling this and a number of other divisive issues facing the Church. Instead, they picked JPII's chief henchman, a man lacking both JPII's charisma or the ability to see past the end of his nose. Much worse, of course, is a growing body of evidence that he was more than incidentally or organizationally culpable in some of these abuse allegations. Edited March 29, 2010 by ToadBrother Quote

And women did go out with some of the disciples: According to Clement of Alexandria, Peter and Philip were married and had children, and Paul probably did, too. Their wives traveled with the apostles "not as wives, but as sisters, in order to minister to housewives" {19}. Clement also reports that Peter's wife was martyred before him, and the apostle encouraged her as she was led to her death link Quote
