Mr.Canada Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) I've decided to take matters into my own hands in an effort to keep our forums about the issues of the day. I'll try to get this stickied by the mod team. It seems that when ever I post I create sort of a side show effect where people forget the issues and instead what to have a go at me personally. Now I am providing a place to do that. If you wish to attack me personally and refuse to do so in a PM where it should be, do it here in this thread. I don't want the threads to become any more cluttered then they already are. So, in an effort to clean up the forum, I'm introducing this thread in order to allow people to bash me here in this thread instead of following me around to every post I make. Half of every thread I start is just a collection of Mr. Canada haters having their fun. So now I've made a clean out of the way area for those people to come and vent. So let's keep the thread topics for the issues and this thread if you just cannot control yourself and need to bash, bully or demean me. Feel free to cut and paste things I've said, quote me, make fun of me, what have you. I won't be reporting any bashing of me thatgoes on in this thread, so go wild. Say whatever you want about me here and let's keep it out of the other threads where we would like to discuss the issues. No matter how strongly you feel about what I've said in a particular topic and just feel the need to bash me, control yourself long enough to cut and paste what I've said bring over to this thread and let me have it. So again, let's keep the threads for the issues and try to keep the Mr.Canada bashing confined to this one. One last thing, I've put this in the sports and liesure area becuase mr.Canada bashing seems to be the sport and release activity of choice here at MLW. Thanks a lot. Mr.Canada Posted March 14, 2010 Author Report Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) At least with you I can have an intelligent debate that benefits those who read this site as they get both sides of the story. With Mr. Canada its bye bye centre right credibility... I want to see a strong right wing government in place. Centre anything is for Liberals. I'm a right wing populist. Mr.Canada Posted March 14, 2010 Author Report Posted March 14, 2010 Fixed it for you. Now your trying to play the sympathy card... You brought this all on yourself. I think government should do what the majority of the people want. I'd like to see regular referendums on important issues. Let the people decide. Populism. Smallc Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 Ok, but the NDP are populists too, so you haven't really proven anything there. Quote

Mr.Canada Posted March 14, 2010 Author Report Posted March 14, 2010 So you are for the tyranny of majority? Yes and why not? It's the peoples money they're spending, not just the tiny minorites that cry the loudest. Ottawa is supposed to be there to represent us, the majority. As it is now they're there to represent themselves and the most vocal minorities. What about the rest of us? I like the type of populism that Preston Manning was about. That would've been an almost perfect government. Do what the people want. Quote "You are scum for insinuating that isn't the case you snake." -William Ashley Canadian Immigration Reform Blog
Shady Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I'm introducing this thread in order to allow people to bash me here in this thread instead of following me around to every post I make. I've had the experience of this exact type of behavior. Leftwingers who literally follow you around from thread to thread, with the sole purpose of insulting instead of discussion. I even have these people constantly responding to my status updates! In a way, it's kind of fun to be their puppet master. My words are like the bells of Pavolov's dogs. Quote
Michael Hardner Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 In the thread where Mr. Canada started to go off, he posted something about anti-Semitism then had a previous post of his linked to, that apparently contradicted his original post. That's not an attack, that's holding somebody to their word and showing inconsistency in logic. If you want to post on a discussion board, then you had better be ready to discuss, which is to say defend your point of view. There are lots of right-of-centre posters here who do an excellent job of backing up their views and keeping a consistent viewpoint, so it's not the politics here. The posts that you are refering was from a year and a half ago. I didn't mean what I was posting in it and I was suspended for it for 3 weeks. Right of centre is basically still a liberal to me. I am a strong right wing poster, right wing populism is basically what I subscribe to. I can see why someone would whine about being bullied and harrassed when they've been pwned to utter humiliation. But they always bring it on themselves. I guess I bring it on by not drinking the same koolaid as you do. I don't believe everything the progressives tell me because I know better, I've lived it. Well, given that this is a forum where people only post their ideas, thoughts, and so forth - perhaps you can see what happens if you post something that's false ? Why don't you delete the post then ? Redact it. If you do so, you can move forward from this. There are plenty of posters here who bulked up the logic of their arguments as the years went by, without changing the essence of their beliefs. Some others (like me) had to face the fact that their views weren't consistent and changed them. Right of centre is basically still a liberal to me. I am a strong right wing poster, right wing populism is basically what I subscribe to. There's not much right-wing populism here in Canada. So what then ? Most right-wingers that I know like to respond to challenges and to improve themselves. In fact, most of them are good at it, which is why they expect others to be able to do the same. Why not just pick yourself up and go back at it ? Nobody is ever going to stop attacking your posts, but if your posts are built to withstand attacks then they will look stronger after an attack no ? Yes, I like Free Dominion and I post there as well. Not under the name Mr.Canada. That moniker is unique to MLW, for myself anyhow. Ididn't want anyone trying to cross reference me from other boards to this one so I made a new and anonymous screen name just for MLW.
