Giambrone quits

A contrite Adam Giambrone has abandoned his race for mayor.

He apologized to his partner and supporters for his indiscretions before bolting abruptly from a media conference Wednesday.

"There are weeks that change your life," he admitted.

Giambrone fled after a brief media statement and did not answer questions about his future.

Then just minutes later a representative finished reading Giambrone's statement.

Giambrone, 32, has admitted to a string of dalliances with women over the past year while co-habitating with "partner" Sarah McQuarrie.

Apparently there was also a man that came foward and claimed he was involved with the NDP leader as well.

I have no idea who this guy is but:

1) according to the report, he was co-habiting with someone

2) he can't take the heat of public scrutiny.

IMV, the second is the more serious weakness.

We have to pick our politicians somehow and choosing those who can survive a scandal is as good a way as any.

It's a new modern double standard. The kid is a stud - so what if he is enjoying himself - and it seems that they like to persecute old fashioned hetro sexual behaviour - What about Smitherman - and that gay thing he has going on - someone should follow him around and see what debachery he is up too. This kid Giambrone has horrible PR people and some very scornful females in his life - I guess that gay is okay and what is more traditional..is not. If someone lies to their live in partner, and to the girl he is cheating with, and wishes it to be on the QT, then they shouldn't have a public career.

We can only judge the integrity of a public representative by their actions. If he cannot be honest in private, the chances of him being honest in public seem less.

Never quite understood what Mr. Big meant when he said I was in a powerful postion. I guess Mr. Big who's last aquision was in excess of four billion bucks figured out one thing about me - If he spoke of what was on his mind for real he would be poor in no time...I can say what ever I want...yes I have to refine it, and be patient with the lowly mortals.

Getting back to Giambrone...whether he is left or right is not the issue - They took him out of the race I suspect because he might just be a good and normal man unfit for politics because he does not have the abusive killer instict that the handlers want...So he is useless to the powers that be. Like that Jesus fella said - "I have not come to tear down the temple but just spruce and tune it up a little" - It does not matter being a rebel - that's silly.. Finding a lot of things odd these days..for instance - someone I know recently went to the beggars entrance at Osgoode Hall. There is supposedly a fancey soup kitchen there where the lowly go to eat.

I got concise report about female poverty..It seems that the place was full of hungry anglo saxon females who were middle aged and devorced and hungry...It was told to me that it was computerization that displaced the male middle class trades men - Then immigration...displace what was left of labour as time itself displace our oringal infrastructure builders - who's bodies simply wore out - No money led to stress which let to the break of of families --- Now you have a bunch of lawyer at Osgoode feeding poor old ladies and a few burned out and disgarded males....GUILT I guess..after all the lawyers benefited in the family law courts and now the feed the people they made poor.
