Bonam Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Why? Why not? I never could understand the saying "who wants to live forever?". As if people should just want to roll over and die after a given time span. Quote
dub Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Depends on who you are. If you are a healthy, wealthy, productive, citizen, you are being ripped off. If you are a drug-addicted, lazy, homeless, bum, you are getting an amazing deal. because everyone who gets sick in canada is drug-addicted, lazy, homeless and a bum. Quote
Bonam Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 because everyone who gets sick in canada is drug-addicted, lazy, homeless and a bum. It was an example to illustrate. But, as usual, you misinterpret. The point is that those who take better care of themselves and their health, and are more productive and thus wealthy, are more likely to contribute more to the system than they use, while those who take worse care of themselves and are less productive are likely to get more out of the system than they contribute. That's the very basis of socialism, take from the able and give to the needy. Quote

Oleg Bach Posted August 11, 2009 Author Report Posted August 11, 2009 And of public funding also. No person should be turned away...it's crippling if you have to pay cash - For instance--a young man I know..lost his heath card---he had to pay cash - now he's behind on his payments - imagine the common hardship on persons in the USA - who become even slightly sick..could end up homeless - that's not a good system. There is no "system"......nor should there be an expectation of one beyond that of any other entitlement program. Sometimes we get sick...and die...it happens. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Sometimes we get sick...and die...it happens. Not to me! I don't need your stinking system non-system... Dentistry - that's the key---as for stuff like cancer and infections - well - don't bother getting them - I was really pleased with one African Canadian doctor...actually BORN in Africa - I was bleeding on occassion out of my lower track - I thought it was from years of drinking the hard stuff - and was sort of used to being on a male period - was a time when they would cut you open to repair ulcers - Now they know that it's caused by a severe bacterial infection - the doctor cured me...took a series of antibiotics - and wow! I stopped bleeding -------------now that's health care - you really don't need a doctor very often - up here - they love to go to doctors because they were never properly weened and want to be coddled. waldo Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Sometimes we get sick...and die...it happens. didja know... Obamacare will include "Death Panels"... gonna get those mongoloid kiddies and trim a few geezers too. Yup... Sarah Palin said so - she knows!!! And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil. it's eeeeeeeeeeevil!!! Downright eeeeeeeeeeevil!!! Quote
