punked Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Am I the only who sees this is a power play by Obama? The Whitehouse will slowly trickle this stuff out splitting republicans into defending it the whole time pushing health care forward? Seems like a great plan if Court pick is approved with very little media attention becuase of this and health care really moves forward. Quote

Health care reform isn't going anywhere until the unemployment bleeding stops. Biden admits that they guessed wrong, and 10% unemployment will be a reality. Raking Cheney over hot CIA coals will not help Obama's remarkable fall from grace. He is now netting a -6 points and has arguably lower numbers than President Bush at the same point in his first term. All America needs is some inflation / higher interest rates and it will be time to bring back the Misery Index, made famous by President Carter. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Shady Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Wow, Cheney wanted to kill top Al Qaeda leaders. What an a-hole, and what a suprise. Quote
ba1614 Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Well there is one sure way for a mission to fail, let the congress know about it. It wouldn't be an hr later and the whole world would know about the plans. Quote

Sir Bandelot Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Feinstein said the law shows Congress should have been told about the program, and the Bush administration's failure to do so "is a big problem." http://news.sympatico.msn.ctv.ca/home/cont...showbyline=True Seems to me if someone breaks the law, there should at least be an investigation. If not outright criminal charges. But Obama is going to show himself for what he really is in this case too... he won't allow an investigation. Obama is just more of the same... a smooth criminal Quote

Shady Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 "The unidentified program began shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks." According to current and former government officials, the agency spent money on planning and possibly some training. It was acting on a 2001 presidential legal pronouncement, known as a finding, which authorized the CIA to pursue such efforts. The initiative hadn't become fully operational at the time Mr. Panetta ended it. WSJ End of story. Quote
GostHacked Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 There was no program. It was never implemented, so there was nothing to report. You can't see past your nose can you? There are lots of secret programs in existance that we or conrgress/senate does not know about. How can you say that there was no program when it was totaly off the radar? And why was it cancelled if there was no program, or if it was not implemented. We don't know what program was axed, we just know that the program has been axed. But yet in your next post you indicate that there was a program, and something to report. Quote
