I'm not happy with everything the Conservatives have done, but it's a "lesser of available evils" thing for me. I hear the other candidates talk and I have this urge to grab my wallet.

Me too, Jessica Lloyd lived about 15kms down the road I live on. It's so sad, we go through life hearing about this stuff but it's never anyone we know, or near us. We are in the sticks out here and this stuff just doesn't happen. This is not about politics. This is about a very sick individual who obviously fooled many many people. It illustrates the old saying that "you just never know" about as well could be. This is also the type of situation that causes me to struggle so much with the capital punishment issue.

None of those links support the assertion that the prisons are "filled with law abiding citizens whose crimes consist merely of possessing illegal narcotics for personal use", in America, (stats useless when discussing Canada), let alone Canada. The majority of people involved in importing/exporting, manufacturing, and distribution of illegal narcotics are in fact criminals for the most part, and they are the ones locked up under the "Drugs" classification, not the average guy who consumes some.

I am pro-legalization, or at the very least, decriminalize it. BUT, that is simply not true. If you can produce facts to support that claim I may change my mind, but I have never seen the evidence, nor has anyone been able to produce evidence to back up such a claim.

Exactly. It's frustrating as hell that they just don't seem to get it. I'd argue they have gotten worse under Ignatieff, and I honestly thought they couldn't get more pathetic than they were under Dion. :angry:
