Canadian Blue
Out of curiosity, what's everyones political ideology. If anyone is unsure, the following tests can help narrow an ideological base. http://www.moral-politics.com/xpolitics.aspx?menu=Home Your scored 0.5 on Moral Order and -7 on Moral Rules. The following categories best match your score (multiple responses are possible): System: Conservatism Ideology: Conservative NeoLiberalism, Ultra Capitalism Party: Republican Party Presidents: Ronald Reagan 04' Election: Michael Badnarik 08' Election: Ron Paul http://www.politicalcompass.org/test Economic Left/Right: 9.12 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.08 http://www.politopia.com/ NW-You would feel most at home in the Northwest region. You advocate a large degree of economic and personal freedom. Your neighbors include folks like Ayn Rand, Jesse Ventura, Milton Friedman, and Drew Carey, and may refer to themselves as "classical liberals," "libertarians," "market liberals," "old whigs," "objectivists," "propertarians," "agorists," or "anarcho-capitalist." I'd personally consider myself a libertarian conservative, however usually if asked I'll simply state that I'm a libertarian to help reduce confusion. Oleg Bach
My ideal idea of a politcal party is one of benevolent dictatorship...kind of a king thing. All these other systems have been tried and failed - might be interesting to go back to the old days - Most assume that the word King or Queen means abuser..not always so - we either crown Harper or Iggy and get it over with. King Harper - has a nice ring to it - King Ignatieff....ooooooooooooooooooh sounds sinister..but sort of saintly

Yorkness
HaHa. How interesting it is to "quiz" myself every so often. The Moral Poltical quiz made me out to be a "capital republican" as part of a broader "moderate conservative" scope which sounds about right. It also cited Nixon as president. Interestingly enough, the poltical compass site found me to be slightly leaning towards the left albeit almost completely in between authoritarianism and Libertarianism. My "politopia" is centerville which also sounds quite right. I am still a bit surprised at the compass quiz though.
Jerry J. Fortin
I took the test and came out as a Libertarian. No surprise there, I detest government because it is wholly inadequate to problem resolution. Our current system is inflexible and inefficient as well as out dated. The mechanism for constitutional reform is absolutely useless. What I would like is a direct democracy, based on a republican system. capricorn
My results: 1. System: Conservatism 2. Ideology: Capital Republicanism 3. Party: Republican Party 4. Bush 6. 08' Election: John McCain Of the 512,491 respondents (7,470 on Facebook): 1. 3% are close to you. 2. 7% are more conservative. 3. 33% are more liberal. 4. 52% are more socialist. 5. 4% are more authoritarian. Looks like I veered from the Democrat/Liberal ideologies I used to espouse in my younger years. Mind you, our Liberal Party has also veered from the ideology I used to support. We've grown apart. Economic Left/Right: -4.62 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.77 I don't really agree with my economic score. I agree with much of the spending in principle, but if it costs too much, I don't want it. The government has to work within a budget after all.
