I have worked professionally with Down's Syndrome indivuals for 15 years and I find your statement reprehensible. A woman's right to choose is one thing, but your suggestion that Down's kids are unworthy of life runs close to hate mongering. These are valued people who do contribute to society. Thank God you are not in any position to dictate social policy.

A slip of the tongue perhaps, since the evidence doesn't show the plane was shot down, I'm more inclined to believe that it wasn't shot down.

Why Stephane Dion is Unfit to Govern
newbie replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It seems to me that when Harper was in opposition he certainly didn't question the Libs much on climate change. Now all of a sudden he's obsessed with saying how much the Libs couldn't meet Kyoto targets. Hypocricy is alive and well on parliament hill. -
The problem there lies with the waiting time to get into treatment. It can take weeks, if not months, to access this resource where I live.

Is Global Warming a Leftist Urban Legend?
newbie replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Must be on the right side. It started out as a majority of scientists, then it was 2500, now it's only 400. I'm referring to the meeting in Paris. Not every scientist who believes in global warming was in attendance. -
Okay, you're selfish.

I dunno B Max: 400 scientists and 113 countries disagree with you . Even Harper now supports Kyoto. But believe what you will. -
Little Mosque on the Prairie's Ratings Plummet

There is nothing wrong with Mosque. Funny how most who criticize this show have an aversion to Muslims in general. To me, this show 10 times better than say Corner Gas. -
David Wilkins thinks Arar is still a threat

I don't think this applies to me. But I don't have to read it to not bash it. -

What Section, Article, Clause or Amendment of the Constitution has Bush violated? I've read our Constitution, as well as your Charter of Wrongs and No Rights. Have you? It's called Charter of Rights and Freedoms. I resent your bashing of our country. And you're a lawyer? You should know better. -
Florida Moves to End Touch-Screen Voting

You may want to go back and read some of the rightwing comments on this forum when Martin was Prime Minister. -
I consider both of these gentlemen in the same league. You may call it Bush bashing, but I call it addressing the reality of the 21st century.

It may be wrong for you, but I think it is illegal to reject treatment for a child if his/her life is on the line. The J.W.'s, by the way, see blood as food.

Uh, actually it is Bush who threatens the stability of the world. Thank God he'll be gone in a couple of years.

You can't have a referendum on every contentious issue. That's why we have MP's. -
You don't think letting your kids die isn't abuse?? It sure as hell is in my books.

If that were true why is the acting so bad and the show so poorly written? It's a great show. I don't find the acting bad, except maybe for the rednecks portrayed.

I hope he wins. It will be well deserved.

Little Mosque on the Prairie's Ratings Plummet
newbie replied to Ricki Bobbi's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Methinks it's time for you to reflect on our society. Come back when you've grown up. Because someone does not agree with your multicultural point of view, that person needs to grown up does he? I don't pull the Liberal Party line buddy on multiculturalism. Diaper heads are diaper heads. PROUD TO BE A REFORMER, BUY A GUN AND PO A LIBERAL! Actually, you've presented an immature point of view. Greg says I can't call anyone a racist - so I won't. -

100,000 including Fonda and Sarandon protest
newbie replied to Leafless's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
A somewhat easier position to take if you were not personally effected. In Ms Fonda's case it wasn't hypothetical. You asked me a hypothetical question and I answered it. -

You know, you complain about others being partisan, but what are you with comments like the above. Please list some things you like about Dion if you dare.

newbie replied to Leafless's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
We are talking about something that happened like 30 or more years ago. I would never hold a grudge that long, regardless of the issue. Many years ago I forgave all the people who once were a thorn in my side. I had to because I don't like living with hatred. In regards to your question, I would think that if that happened it would be a very stupid thing to do. But I'm at a point in my life where such things don't bother me much, including your hypothetical. -
Tories to Run Negative TV Ad Campaign
newbie replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why do you call anyone who disagrees with you or Harper a Harper hater? I certainly don't hate the man. I just don't like his or the CPC policies for the most part.
