  1. http://www.newyorker.com/printables/fact/060417fa_fact Already they are shouting the call for war with Iran. They never were going to be diplomatic at all. They SAY they are being diplomatic, but given the documents touting the banner for war with Iraq, I really don't trust them when they are saying they want to be diplomatic. Former Pentagon Official I give it maximum 2 years before operation Irani Freedom starts. UGH
  2. It is not even a big hospital at all. It is quite small compared to the other ones in town. I live close to Monfort and I don't see the justification in it.
  3. This thread has many fascinating comments, but let me stop here.Corporations cannot go to jail. Corporations cannot be deprived of freedom. Corporations are not human. Maybe that really, really stupid movie started the idea that corporations are psychopaths. I dunno. A corporation is a "nexus of contracts". The best, easily understood comparison is marriage. To say a corporation is a psychopath makes about much sense as to say a marriage is a psychopath. http://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/index.php/Corporations http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/intern...d=96395,00.html Government treats it as a person regardless of that Wal Mart video.
  4. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...60407?hub=World So more are cutting aid to Palestine. So they are going to collapse the economy there then it seems. Just makes it easier for the Palestinians to just give up.
  5. Why would the US not invade Saudi Arabia then? If it seems that is where most of the terrorists come from. Iraq and Afghanistan were invaded to pursuade Saudi Arabia to give up their evil ways? That does not make sense to me. They really don't care about Saudi Arabia. Maybe by securing resources in Iraq and Afghanistan, and also Nigeria, they can cut their dependancy on 'foreign oil' , since most of this is now US controlled territory. The US is taking over the Middle East on the banner of 'freedom and democracy'. Come on not fooling anyone here. And when an ally like Israel is in the area, it makes things easier. Russia is not much of a threat, and they seem to contain Iran when needed. So the US is not afraid of taking the big risk since there is no real large opponent. Only something called terrorism. Which has no home in one specific country. So you get the US administration invading other countries on the basis of terrorism. An open ticket and pretext for war. 9/11 made that happen. You have also the Partiot act going into law only 2 months afterwards. How long has that been in the process? 9/11 made it easier for people to give up their rights for more security. New York is among many cities in the US that have passed legislation saying that the patriot act does not apply here. You would figure New York would be the first one to jump on this bandwagon since it was the center of the attacks. They have brought democracy and freedom to Afghanistan. Now the rule of the land is Sharia Law, the same as under the Taleban. Yikes, what a change. Or was it. The US is also closer to India now and selling it nuclear technology. Osama is nowhere to be found. After invading two countries you'd figure he would have been found right? Hell they found Saddam in a hole in the ground. And oh yes, we all know that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 or Al-Queada as a whole. Osama, if he is the master planner of 9/11, acted alone with his group. The US spends more money on it's military than welfare for it's citizens. The largets military on the planet. And these days getting very mobile in a hurry. But with the construction of two permanent bases in each country it invaded under the threat of terrorism, the US has no intention of leaving the area any time soon. We can get into the Petro Dollar as well into this mix, since it does play a large part in the importance of owning the resources and the materials to sell it in your currency only. The Euro is a threat to the Greenback. If Iraq and Iran had gotten their way, they would have ditched the Greenback for the Euro to trade oil. The US then has to pay out on that and there is no way the US can afford to even come close on that without defaulting on some international loans. This is part of the reason Congress allowed the budget to be able to slip to 9 trillion US. Otherwise, the US WOULD have defaulted on a few loans. So it is in the US's domestic and foreign interest to take a stakehold in the Middle East. Permanently. Uncontested. 9/11 was the thing the US needed to make all this happen. Without 9/11 you would not have made it into Afghanistan, let alone Iraq.
  6. http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/national/200...aza-060407.html Israel stepping up operations in the past couple weeks. Several rocket attacks, ect. Overresponse for one suicide bomber.
  7. Unfortunately, for the conspiracy minded, one only becomes a 'pro' when they have a theory to brandish. If 100 people agree on what happened, they will take the word of the person who doesn't agree just because. This, by the way, is the same tack used by those who submit that the UN Global Warming study is a fraud and their one scientist who disagrees must be the one who is right... The idea put forward is that planes hitting a building wouldn't be 'shocking' enough so demolition of the buildings had to be added to make the scene truly terrifying. Does that not sound farcical to you ? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3067365/ http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/osamatape.html * *I hate to use these sites for they are ridiculed by everyone. From the pictures there you can see that the last Osama is a fake. Look at that nose. And this is the man that is in the tapes http://www.npr.org/news/specials/response/...laden.tape.html More to come...
  8. Hope you guys do not use AT&T http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,706...l?tw=wn_index_1 This was back in 2002, before the wiretapping program was in effect. What other companies has this been done to? Phone, (land or cell) Internet, everything was monitored. We also know the US government has the ability to shut down the celular network in moments of terrorist attacks. (To avoid somethign like the Madrid bombings who used cell phones to detonate the bombs) The government IS listening.
  9. Iron oxide+sulfur (and many other elements)=steel Sulfur found in grain boundries=naturally occuring phenomenon Clear explanation for source of sulfur=natural ocurring impurity which is often added to steel to increase machinability. http://mdmetric.com/tech/chempropi.htm This man is correct. Sulphur is part of the process and make up of steel. Now what he should have done was some kind of comparison to sulpher in a normal peice of steel compared to a fire damaged one, and one damanged from explosives.
  10. Crims. Thanks for that post. Note the disclaimer at the bottom of the website. This is a FEMA report, HOWEVER .... WHA? People wonder why I discredit the Official report. FEMA - ok we hired a bunch of people to invesitage the events of 9/11, but their conclusions do not necessarily represent the views of FEMA. We will accept your report, but we claim no responsibility in that report. Good job FEMA. You guys SHOULD know better of what happened, since you guys were in New York the night before.
  11. I like President Bush. I believe that history will treat him kindly. A lot of people are going to have egg on their face. The Mid East will slowly reform and people will remember who spoke about freedom from tyranny. I am wondering how he got through the Republican Screening Process and was allowed to be in the audience. I hope they learned their lesson. Watch out for shill moles like that guy who was obviously planted there by the Democrats. Everything is a media $*@!ing circus.
  12. RB and uOttawaman Agreed. Parents need to take more responsibility for their children. They always want to blame something else for their shortcommings as a parent. 'Well I cannot correct my child for this so it must be someone else's fault' WRONG. The way to protect your child is to get involved with them every day, not only are you the parent, you are the friend, and their advisor. The more you get involved with your kid's daily activities, the more that kid will respect you and look up to you.
  13. People on flight dead, family in contact on cell phones, airline missing a large aircraft, witnesses on ground during and in aftermath, reason for faking, what was done with passengers, relatives and any and all possible witnesses. Provide rationale for risk vs payoff please. Rational Vs risk is not my specialty. But I will hazard a guess for your entertainment. Get your tin foil hat on folks! (tin foil hats actually improve the chance of 'reading your mind' so you may want to leave it behind) I will just say that 9/11 was allowed to happen for the reason of invading the middle east to secure energy resources for the future. How many oil/energy projects are slated in that region? You have Karzai (former Unocal member) leader of Afghanistan, and a new oil/gas pipleline deal. We know the former Taleban government did not support the pipeline. In Iraq, you have deals in place to make the pipleline from Afghanistan to connect up to the Iraqi infrastructure. http://www.pipewire.net/default.cfm?categoryid=5 ... this is just to show how many projects are going on in the Middle East. and alot of it looks 'polarized' (Iran - syria joint operations, Turkey - Egypt.) I am sure if I mention Project for a New American Century, people will throw mud at me. But if you look at it and compare it with everyday news events from the Middle East, it is scary how much of it is actually accomplished at this point. The US has built a permanent base in Northern Iraq, showing that the US is in no hurry to leave Iraq. The US did not ever have an exit strategy for Iraq. Nor did they require one. Rifts in the newly formed government are apparent, (kurds, sunnis, shiites) and evenrually Iraq will become 2 seperate entities, with the US settling down in the oil rich regions. The US is there purely for it's own gain. Not for 'freedom and democraxy'. The Industrial Military Complex is the entity that would use alot of oil to accomplish their goals. Without oil or another substitute, the Military would come to a screeching halt. Israel is part of the overall plan as well. I would say the invasion of Iraq benefited more for Israeli security than the US's. http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/ED04Ak01.html http://www.csmonitor.com/2002/0319/csmimg/0319p10b.jpg
  14. In the United States, coproations in the eye of the law are considered a person. Some benefits to having your business incorporated: http://www.legalzoom.com/universal/press_04002002.html Protection from liability by the owner Less chance of an IRS audit. Hell I would be auditing corporations alot more with the recent corporate scandals involving some of the biggest companies in existense. http://www.forbes.com/2002/07/25/accountingtracker.html Look at those scandals. Arthur Anderson, Haliburton, World Com. AOL Time Warner, Enron, Zerox. -=-=-=-=- Now onto the topic at hand. Do I owe Edison for his discovery? I think I do. My computer would not work otherwise. Do I owe Gates for his creation of Windows? I think I do, makes my PC easier to use. Do I own Banting for his discovery? Yes indeed. But what do I owe? That is relative. Gates I owe money and thanks for a good OS (yeah yeah laugh) I owe Banting and Edison many thanks for their discoveries.
  15. M Hardner A small jet is very plausible, more than the 757. I have seen stuff that says it was a small commuter plane, like learjet or something similar, others say it was an F-16 or an A3 Skywarrior. It sill could have been a jet, just not a 757. IMHO.
  16. M Hardner I was just giving information relating to shipping steel off to China, You made the assumtion, I just gave the article. You did not know that steel was shipped to China and Inda, now you know. Why would it be shipped to China when the US could clearly use that now scrap metal to build stuff? At the Pentagon, I can say that a large Boeing 757 did not hit the Pentagon. What hit it? I do not know. If you take a look at those 5 frames they released from the Pentagon camera, you should be able to see a large blurred aircraft, instead you get a small tail behind the toll booth. If you see the plane hit, it would make sense you would see wings on each side outside of the explosion. I just don't see any solid hard evidence it was hit by a Boeing 757. KK Given the visual evidence presented by the government so far is a little lacking for the Pentagon.
  17. Media has been doing that for decades. Remember Rambo III where he went to help the Muhajedeen fight the Taleban? Remember Delta Force where the team went in to get the hostages in Iran? LOTS of movies like that.
  18. Alot of the evidence that Crims is using is from Loose Change 2nd Edition. He could use more sources, but it looks like he is dependant on this one. Which is being narrow minded. The Pentagon. Ok let's say a plane actually hit the Pentagon. At the angle it came at, I think it would have bounced off the wall (not bouncing off the lawn THEN into the Pentagon). There should be sizable sections of the wings. People have explained to me that the wings folded into the fuselage and was dragged into the hole, then vaporized. If the plane hit straight on, I may expect it to clear all 3 rings, but on the angle it was at and hitting the side of the Pentagon that was upgraded/reinforced before. IN any case those wings would have snapped off. Something would have been left behind. I know that fuel is stored in the wings as well. The wings on large aircraft are built much stonger compared to the rest of the aircraft, these are the things keeping it up in the air, and need to handle the force thrown at them. I still say that there should be big enough sections of the wings laying around. Micheal Hardner : Metal was shipped off to China. And according to this, India as well (first time I heard of India, but China was mentoned before) http://www.china.org.cn/english/2002/Jan/25776.htm This is all I get from CNN http://archives.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf...teel/index.html CBS says it is going overseas http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/04/16/...C-SearchStories I could use alot of other sites, but then the credibility of them would be shredded by most of you here. So I will try to use SMS articles to show it. If you would accept another news source, then something may be learned.
  19. Hypogrits, I like that term. I am liking some of what Harper is doing, and somethings scare me. But he may be pulling a 'Harris' (Former Ontario Primier) and just doing what needs to be done, regardless of the bitching. Time will tell.
  20. Now how do you KNOW the tape was faked ? Face was different, the man was wearing a ring on the right hand (Osama does not wear any jewlery), voice was different ect. It was not Osama. Pros even debunked the video. I will try to find that clip for you Micheal.
  21. I am not a big fan of Bush myself. HOWEVER, we do not need multiple threads about the same topic (the letters saying they wanted to go to war) Try to keep it all in one thread. IMHO.
  22. Actually, he didn't. He claimed he inspired the attacks, but has never claimed to have played any role in planning or executing hem. After some research it was the video from Dec 2001 and Osama admited to it. BUT it turns out it was not Osama in those tapes. So ya he never claimed it was his doing. The tape was faked, that we know. Who faked the tapes?
  23. Now that I am done that book, I must say it was a very interesting read. McAlister makes the point of how the US media, (TV movies MSM) created an almost subconcious interest in the middle east by the american population, through media and how it is presented. In the process I learned something about the american pshyche. Monty Burns, you would like this book, for it shows a biased from MSM that you point out. ----- I am now reading Imad Khadduri's book called 'Iraq's Nuclear Mirage. Khadduri was an important person in Iraq's Nuclear program. Should be interesting. Will keep you posted.
  24. I'd rephrase that to, "I'm happy to learn a new word today. Thank you Monty." Please stick to the issues and drop the spin. I think we're all a bit tired of your Clintonesque "it depends on what your definition of is is" nuance. Why do you think that the "illegal" wiretaps story has dropped off the radar of the MSM? Actually it really DOES depend on how the NSA and the FISA define it. Cut through the fluff of the 'language' and you will get a better idea of what it is about. They will twist stuff so it SEEMS like they are a good thing. In reality, people rights and freedoms are being violoated not by international terrorism, but by the US government. Plain and simple. Hope that helps.
  25. Agreed. The jury won't let him get out of jail at any cost. Unless he pulls a houdini.
