  1. Keep it up Lost. I can appreciate what you are doing. I also recall watching an interview on Meet The Press where Rumsfeld talks about propaganda and how the Pentagon must play a part in it as much as MSM. Actually to use the MSM to promote their views of things. As we know some views are well.... You can do a whole thesis on that.
  2. No, but it can be. It can be, however....I may hate Isreal but that does not mean I hate Jews. I may hate A single Jew for doing something I did not agree with, does that make me an anti-semite? No. Listen to the person before you call them an anti-semite. Reminds me of a guy I used to work with. A Czech, nice guy fun to work with, but he always ribbed me about my german heritage. Since my Opa fought on the Nazi side during WWII, he holds no hatred towards jews in general. So this guy Martin would always say 'you jew killer ect, it was kind of funny at first but then it got annoying. Yah yah yah ect. So he said to me one say, you know you guys killed all those jews, you jew hater, killer ect.. my retort to him in front of everyone else on the crew at the time "Yeah well, we thought they were Czechs." He never talked to me again in any way shape or form.
  3. Where you sit is where you stand. I know people who look at Bush's record and only see a man promoting family values and the Christian faith. He should be promoting family values (the real definition of family has changed in the past 50 years) And he should not be promoting faith of anykind. He should be a neutral party in that manner. If he promote Christian values, then he should promote all other religious values. Or none at all.
  4. This is really starting to piss me off. Unions should not get involved in this shit period. PERIOD. Anti-Israel does NOT equate Anti-semitism. FFS people, it is the same as being anti-US, but not getting my hate on for the general public. It is the actions of the government that I cannot support. There is no equal in the world for this crap. Everytime someone bashes Israel and their deplorable treatment of the Palestinians, they are labeles anti-semite. Dude you just lost your WHOLE argument when you say that. Learn the difference. I am not a freakin jew hater or killer or anti-semite. But I really hate the way Isreal is going about things. See the difference ?? No?? Then you might just want to stop posting. Yes the Palestinians have not helped their cause, but again, when Isreal was created in the Muslim/Arab backyard, someone is going to have a problem with it. Was the creating Isreal the right thing to do? And since I do not thing that was the right thing to do I am labeled an anti-semite?? What about during the cold war? Everyone hates Russia, oooh those bad Russians, out for global domination and want to kill America/freedom/liberty/democracy. And now they are part of the solution. Those who hated Russia, hated Russians. But there is no equal to 'anti-semite' in this case. THEY WERE DAMN COMMIE RUSSIANS right? If you label hating Isreal with anti-semitism, then that should be applied to all countries/people. You cannot just pick and choose to use the term when it seems fit. Again for all you who do not quite understand Anti-Zionist or Anti-Isreal IS NOT THE SAME AS anti-semitism. /blame canada.
  5. Nothing of course about Hamas wanting to destroy Israel or a boycott of Iran's anti-Semitism. Just another example of a simple-minded and one-sided look at a complex problem. Which side are you supporting then? Or can you see the other side of things?
  6. If that was the case, you would have never had heard of the Sponsorship Scandal. We need another group (like the media as biased as they are) to present us with other items of interest. If all your news was comming from the government, you can bet your red and white canadian ass you would here nothing but positive things and alot of fluffy bullshat lies. Take the government story with a grain of salt, just like the rest of the media. Since the CBC is state funded (by taxpayers) we would only get a nice nice look at the government. Again someone mentioned "more accountability in government", oh wait that was Harper correct? How is this making government more accountable?
  7. But yet you keep comming back and patronizing my replies. Good stuff Monty. Like I said, IF history proves that Bush did the correct thing then I will gladly eat my words. Untill then, I have my eyes and ears open. And you can really do yourself a service and just stop with the KKKarlrovebushisaNazitinfoilhats. As you know a tin foil hat will actually make it easier for brain scanning. Being metal and all, it kind of amplifies those signals. My hat is made out of lead. I will let you chew on that one for awhile.
  8. Refresh my memory. Who did the voters elect in November/2004 after "lie after lie?" Yeah those voting machines in Ohio were problem free, right? And we recall what happened in Florida where the court ruled that they won't take/count in any more ballots, but will recount the ones they have and then declared Bush the winner. Those other votes which were not counted could have turned the whole election around. Bush won by the slimmist of margins. Gore could have won by an even slimmer of margins. Pre Bush - surplus budget - military was getting scaled down - enconomy was in pretty good shape. - national deficite was manageble and getting payed off. - invaded some countries and messed up stuff. During Bush - no surplus - huge expansion in the military - economy has been on the downswing since - national deficite has grown to over 6 tillion (and congress allows it now to slip to 9 trillion. - 3 of the largest corporate scandles ever in the US (Enron, Arthur Anderson, Worldcomm) - invaded some countries and messed up stuff. Post bush? - TBA. Check back in 2009 when Bush leaves office and we will see if the downward trend continues.
  9. Rue, fantastic on all points. This is a more accurate picture of what is going on there and what HAS been going on there for decades. Some people are easily fooled into thinking Afghanistan is a democracy. It is not. Sharia Law is still the law of the land (and had been under Taliban rule)
  10. Bush needed to go after he 'won' the last election. He has been nothing but a complete moron and fubbed things up. So what, BIG DEAL, he ran 9 companies into the ground, he still can be a great president. Right??
  11. The media has free speech? You mean whatever the CEO of the network says is free speech? Or better yet, how many advertising dollars will get you 'free speech' ?? MSM is just plain shill for the corporations. Lost&outofcontrol - I agree with you and I see what you are talking about in he media every day. It is sick how much you can see of it out there.
  12. http://www.infowars.net/articles/may2006/2...6Bilderberg.htm Yeah I know that most do not think about these groups and I am skeptical as well. However both James Tucker and Alex Jones will be in town to investigate the group. Me and a couple pals are getting together that weekend and getting out there to see what the deal is. Really I just want to meet Alex Jones in person. As far as I know this is the first time they have been holding a meeting in Canada. Getting my camera (still and video) ready for that weekend, and got the days booked off WOHOO!!
  13. Yeah this is nothing in the US's eye, they will support Israel in almost anything they do. Yet Iran is still the bad guy. I really think the US is the one to blame here.
  14. You can see it taking place in corporate Canada as well. The US companies are buying huge stakes in Canadian owned companies, or trying to buy them outright. Tims Hortons is now owned by an American, as other former canadian iconic franchises. The take over happens in many sublte ways, but keep your eyes open and you will see the changes. More are to come.
  15. Here is the abuse that Machinations is talking about. http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflas...gn_id=rss_daily If you are in bed with the government/military and shady shit happens in the background (knowingly or not) you are safe from any prosecution on the notion that National Security can be declared. How did companies get so powerful for this to even be considered?
  16. If you kept the freezer and fridge door closed, it could have lasted a few hours, the freezer especialy. To bad you wasted all your food. But you chucked it out after an hour? I am calling bull on this one.
  17. Yeah yah, and the US gave 43% of the arms there. So what. And yes I am deniying it untill there is more solid evidence, which there is none at this time. Syria would be in alot more shit if it could be proven that they had Iraq's WMDs. Invasion or sanctions would have happened right away. Or you think SOMETHING would have been done about that. As for Libya, I recall one time in the 80s when Saddam was on the 'good friends list' for the US. So things change. Hell even Russia the LONG TERM COLD WAR ENEMY is now one of the 'good guys' Things change and not because the US says so or makes an influence enough to promote change (other than military intervention). If Lybia had granted safe haven for Iraq's WMDs again there would be more proof of it. And yes even in the MSM that would be present. And my statement of UPDATE : STILL WAITING was that I mean I am still waiting for the report on WMDs. I doubt the MSM is on the side of the Enemy, if that is the case then all MSM is run my Islamofacist fundies. So terrorists, so take all MSM out then. OH FFS that is one of the most rediculous things I have heard on here yet Monty. Simply put and you might want to do more research than just what the MSM throws at you. It's almost like you think that the MSM is in bed with the enemy. I know you did not mean it like that but, it's ok. And that would be whos fault? Not Iraq, if that is what the resolutions allowed, that would be the UN and those who ever threw Iraq to the Security Council. Regardless of how many times you listed and told us, those were not the reasons the US government toted on when going to war with Iraq. If it was presented to the public in the real terms of what the situation was there may have not been as much support for the war. So sex it up and over estimate everything to pad those numbers to make him look bad. YES HE WAS A BAD MOFO, we all know that, and even the US knew that when backing him up in the 80's. We must take him out cause he has WMDs (throw in a coupld 9-11 references to drive an image home) He supports terrorism (a few more 9-11 references) He houses memberd of Al Queda ( more 9-11 references , mention they hate freedom and democracy) If Bush and Co. had just told us the truth of the reasons for war and not the bullshit that they did shovel in our faces, they all might have a bit more credibility today. But that did not happen, they just plain and simple messed up. Bush's speech writers can spin the propaganda better than any MSM outlet.
  18. WOOO!! More news! http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,709...wn_technology_1 I am glad this is gaining steam. Unfortunately the MSM is not picking up on it much. This is more new information than what was released before. Not only did Mike Kline (former AT&T employee) tell us of secret back rooms built in different cities but he is actually telling us the street address of the one he knows of for sure. This should wake you up people. If you understant internet and network technology at all this should be really eye opening.
  19. Wow,I was right for a change. That story turned out to be false after all? And people call me an over-reactionist. And I did say he sounded more sane than many leaders out there. Speech writers can do that for you. I will stand by that, and the false story just strengthens my belief in that statement.
  20. Close enough for you? By that we should have invaded Lybia instead of Iraq. Obviously the inspection team was clearly looking in the wrong country for those WMDs. Again that is all speculation about where those WMDs are. They speculated they were in the area around the caplitol and Tikrit. So far nothing. Now since they have not found them, they are going on the notion that, 'well just cause we's ain't found them yet, does not mean theys ain't there'. And since none have been found to this date within the Iraq borders, more speculation was needed to avoid the backlash from the public when they found out that the US government lied about the weapons. Hayden in his testimony and hearings for the appointed position of CIA head, showed that they had cooked the books on Iraqs WMD programs. (still looking for the article, it read an article on 3 websites that were listed on google news, but soon after they dissapeared. washingtonpost.com was one of the sites I read that article.) Even back in 2002, the US Government told us they had no reliable information on any WMD programme in Iraq. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/06/07/...ain557473.shtml But they kept telling us, NO WORRIES, it will all turn up we WILL find them, just you wait. UPDATE : STILL WAITING !!! Hans Blix said it correctly What about the rest indeed? I also had not found any credible article for your claim that Lybia had anything to do with the Iraqi WMDs. Nothing. But the weapsons survey team was given access to only a few sites, and they had to bitch and compain to have more time for the inspections. Out of the 300 suposed sites that the US had on their list, only a few were checked out and turned up nothing. SFA. Powell later admitting that they were wrong on the subject. Like come on Monty. Before the war. Powell, Bush, Rummy Rice all told us they had WMDs ( trust us we WILL ABSOLUTLEY FIND THEM) After the war They all told us that there are none and they give up the search. (uhh SORRY !! MY BAD!!) But yet you hang on to that falsality that they did and STILL DO have WMDs.
  21. As opposed from the religious zealots who already have and used nukes??
  22. Wait a few more days, this seems like utter bull to tell you the truth. Somehow something got lost in translation. And we really need to stop Nazi references on both sides. Cheapens the stance on whoever is using it. However if this is true, it is pretty crazy. The French may have that right by banning ALL religious wear in schools.
  23. I understand your concern but I see a need to update laws to deal with encryption. I don't see a problem with police going to a judge and getting warrent that would allow them to seize encryption keys. I see this as no different from getting a warrent to search someone's place of work. That said, the artical made no mention of warrents or similar safeguards. If that is the case then I agree it is something everyone should be worried about. With the tools that are available out there, and I would suspect the government intelligence agencies have it, they can hack a wep key in seconds. So that is really pointless. And I agree, like everything else, a warrent should be obtained if they suspect things. If that is not the case, pointless. There are many companies out there that do not even use the encyption, so their whole comany is compromised at that point. Even home users, lock down your stuff.
  24. I have noticed that in the past couple years, online security is a huge issue. Now we have a report from the UK about handing over your WEP encryption key. This is equivalent of handing over the keys to your house to the government. NO FFFFFF WAY. Privacy is important to all of us. To me it is important as well, there are just some things no one needs to know. And it is nothing illegal, I just like some aspects of my life private. http://news.zdnet.co.uk/0,39020330,39269746,00.htm Most people and companies that use encryption have it to secure their important transactions. Personal banking information, companies internal communications. Some stuff the government just does NOT need to know. But how will we catch those terrorists you say?
  25. Nice to see you back Monty. However your last quote. Rummy still did not address his issues at all. Just rhetoric saying in a nutshell YOU ARE NOT A PATRIOT!!!. McGovern :So where are the WMDS? Did you lie? Rummy : You hate freedom.
