Well, if these funerals are done in a remote location, then I see no problem. If the population in the area, really has no offence to it, then no problem. I doubt they would be able to make the open air burnings as big as the ones in India. Different country, different social/economy/religion *for the most part)/environment. If Britian allows it, and if others than Hindu's are oppossed to it, then you can see some backlash for the Hindu community. If people are worried about a open air burn funeral in terms of pollution and breathing in that stuff. Take a walk down a busy street in the day time. How much pollution you breath in on a daily basis would put this issue way in the back burner. Vehicles, industry, even your home and your garbage you produce has a bigger effect on the environment than some people wanting to burn their dead relatives. Never mind that gas leak from my car in the driveway, nothing to see here. Sure things would have to be done different in Britian. Sanctioned places for it. Proper disposal of the body if the cremation was not effective in completely destroying the body. I am sure there will be compromised between the government and the Hindus. So just some common sense needs to be applied to the funeral rites, some rules to follow to make all parties involved happy. I can bet you this forum that if they get the chance in Britian to do this, they will not be even close to the scale they do it in India.

I-man - what do you think about his remarks?
GostHacked replied to RB's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Not so worried about how a single talk show host saying happy headed ho's. If he had called them nappy headed niggers, the response would have been the same from the team. Also there is an article on CNN with the title "Black women who use 'ho' say Imus can't.."(video file) ... So, they can call each other 'HO', but when someone else uses it, then the line is crossed. That is hypocritical beyond belief and totaly negates their stance on the issue. So the issue dies right there. If he did, the response might have been just the same. I am a white man. I use the term nigger with my friends. I also use the term cracker a lot. Also with me having some German blood in me, I have also used the term Nazi or Kraut on many occasions to make fun of me or others. So call me a cracker Nazi AND WHOOOOO.... I really don't care. Free speech is free speech. And in the context he was using it, seemed like he was overall complimenting them. Aother problem with slang language and derogatory term especially is that me being white, calling another white guy 'nigger', is not a big deal. A black man calling another black man 'nigger' seems appropriate as well, no one really complains. But if a white man calls a black man 'nigger' then we are in a ton of trouble. Double standarts and hipocracy. I love it when people say, 'you can't use that term!', I usually use that term right back at them anyways. To prove that I can. The real deal is, I should have some respect for others and not call them that at all. That is what we are really getting at. He slipped up, apologized and now he is making headlines all over the place. And now even his show is being dropped by the sounds of it. Oh and you should have heard what Bill O'Rielley has to say on this whole situation. That man spews more dangerous things in one of his 'Talking Points Memo's, than I have heard Imus say in any commentary I have head of Imus'. Free speech is free. I hand it out freely. Others should too. -
Reconsider Internet spy law: RCMP
GostHacked replied to Leafless's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Sounds a lot like what is going on in the US. Canada is paralleling it for sure, but at a slower pace it seems. Free speech will never die. For I say so. My voice counts . I as well do not like all the power in a CSIS or RCMP or even a local police officer. That much power in someones hands is likely to be abused. I bet they have abused it more than we knowas it is. I have been using the Internet for about 13 years now. I have seen the progression of the technology and the flaws and the crimes that have come about because of it. Recall the incident in the US with AT&T about the secret CIA server rooms at several locations in the US? This was all done before the US wiretapping fiasco. So I will say it will happen to a Canadian ISP. Bell would be the obvious choice to have this intercepting technology. Anything that passes through a Bell connection (web, voice, landline, cell) can be monitored, intercepted, decoded, ect ect... to get the info on you. Even as it is, much of your Internet traffic is already being monitored. Just we don't know about it. Taking away checks and balances never results in more security for the population. -
WTC7 Demolition on mainstream news site
GostHacked replied to wendy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why does this thread exist? I thought we had a couple 9/11 threads already. This is not Canadian news at all. This is still US news, so belongs there. Last time you will hear me here in THIS thread on this topic. -
Well said. However, I have met a great number of people in my life, and 'hang out' with very few. I viewed this forum as a 'scotch and cigar and intelligent debate' sort of pub (to borrow August1991's phrase), yet we find ourselves at times surrounded (in the name of 'absolute freedom with no repercussions') by 'ranting bag-ladies'. Sometimes you have no choice of who you run into out there in real life or in here online. Throw me in the conspiracy camp. I try not to let that into every post I make for other threads. I try to keep my posts on topic without going all crazy conspiracy. I don't really think it is the content of conspiracy theories that get you people upset, it is the way it is presented to you. Kind of like the way I am sick of MSM like Foxnews and the way they present the right wing agenda for the administration. But again, like others said, you have it in your power to hit that ignore button. Or maybe respond to a crazy post with some great counter arguments. For those conspiracy threads like the one Polynewbie has. It is now over 130 pages. If you people really hated it, why the hell did it get to 130 pages? Polynewbie cannot do it on his own. Most of you fueled that fire and are now wondering why it wont stop. If the other does not walk away, and you know it is a useles battle, then maybe you should walk away. For the record in that thread, insults flew around in both directions. I agree Polynewbie has thrown the majority of them in the 9/11 thread. But we are all not 100% innocent in that nature. Sometimes it is really tough to be the better man and just walk away and laugh. To me I find that the older I get the less and less I can tolerate the general public. Many people I encounter are just idiots. I come here for something more. You just need to have the power in yourself to not contribute to the topic you don't want to get into. There are many threads I want to contribute to, but can't think or find anything substantial to progress the thread. Take a look at my 9/11 thread and compare it to Polynewbies. Conspiracies can be discussed rationaly. Although I think me and Montey Burns had thrown mud at each other.

Africa: Bush Approves U.S. Army for Africa
GostHacked replied to kuzadd's topic in The Rest of the World
It's better than the crack that the right smokes, But anyways, I was wondering when this stuff would hit the airwaves. Terrorism must be rampant througout the entire world for the US to play policeman for the rest of us. Once you understand and realize the open endedness of this whole War on Terror, you can see how anything and evrything is considered a threat of some kind. So spin and twist is put on anything to make it seem much freakin worse than it actually is. We only need to go as far back as the phase leading up to the Iraq invasion. So where else does the US want to set up shop next?? Hmm ?? Hmmm?? -
I have a problem with the POW angle, The US is not at war with Iran. So how the hell can they be considered POWs??? To me Iran could have just termed them 'ENEMY COMBATANTS', and held them indefinately, like all those in Gitmo. Instead it looks like those Brits were simply treated as tresspassers.
-
As I believe it was speculation that those British soldiers were in Iraqi waters. Even if there is a shred of evidence that Pelosi had helped in the negotiations, it is still a shred more that what Bush and Blair had to offer. Yeah yeah, those dumb lefties always getting in trouble like that.
-
Pelosi should be proud of herself. Diplomacy DOES work. Bush never negotiates, Blair does not negotiate. Maybe Bush and Blair could learn a few things from Pelosi. And to have Syria help out in the negotiations is odd, but encouraging. Cameroon By that note, DO YOU??? Well, when they were shown on TV, they seemed in good health, not bound tied and gagged. Althought that can happen off camera. Now let's take a look at Gitmo there. Hmmmm. Crisis everted. And to think there are some knee jerk reactionists here that wanted to start lobbing nukes at them. Indeed that would have solved this crisiis.

I run my firewall locked down pretty tight. Opening/closing ports when needed. I have many services in my XP disabled, some viruses were targeted for RPC so that mode is disabled on my PC. So if you don't need some of those services, and they are not dependant on anything you need, you can disable them altogether. Makes my life easier. I don't run AV on my PC, but I do the spyware scan often. I have only had one virus give me problems in 3 years otherwise. Hope you get to the bottom of it. Hardware firewall is going to eliminate many of your problems when connected to the Internet.

All history should be taught. It is called challenging the mind and the person on how they think and feel. Don't want to teach it?? Doomed to repeat it? It is the Muslims who should just leave the class if they don't want to hear it. Or go to another school I guess. I want people to be challenged. Have thier beliefs challenged, their world view challenged, everything. Only then can a student grow and understand and make up thier own minds about how the world works. Although I think there is much in the classroom that should be left up to the parents, just because a holocaust offends you, does not mean it does not have a place in history and should be taught objectivley.
-
Yes, it does happen on a second computer. For example just when I was getting ready to log off after posting here my firewall warning alarm repeately signalled on and off, so I hit emergency lock and sat back and viewed my net activity screen and noticed who ever it is, is from the same IP provider and mine was hitting my computer with a 49-byte file every free seconds followed by 200-byte file using a variety of different ports to try to gain access. So far nothing serious as happened to my programs outside of what I noted. Only if my programs or operational characteristics of my computer are affected will I consider showing my I.P. my firewall log to see if anything can be done. I have a few other things to try to stop these attacks. For now I will write it off as an annoyance. Is that other PC you use on the same LAN as your other problematic PC? Here are some steps you need to take in order to find out what the real issue is. Take your Firewall logs and send them on in to your ISP's abuse team. usually abuse(or spamblock or security)@isp.com. They will be able to cut that person off from connecting to the Internet. Their modem would have to be disabled if the problem is comming from that same IP/person. It could be that the person's PC that is attacking you is not even aware of the issue. Could be some virus bot on the PC that hits yours. it could also be a stealthy virus that is on your systems (if they are all connected through a LAN, then if one PC is infected, the others have the potential of infection as well). It might even be some settings you have or some special program. So here is what you need to send in. Firewall, Antivirus, Syware logs. (this will show time, type of activity and how much of it) Take the IP and go to http://www.arin.net , plug that IP into the field up top and then record that information and throw it all in an email to your ISP. I highly suggest you take those steps, or your problem won't go away. You seem to have a good grasp on PC security in any case. For the record, I do enjoy my marijuana.
-
Leafless Does this happen on any other computer you use with your username and password for this site?? If not, then you have a huge problem with your curent set up. If he is on the same DNS then chances are he is a client of the ISP you are with. Could be something with this site in particular. Greg has had problems with hackers on this site, so something could have snuck on your drive from here. And a good deal of the time it is due to some botched up or compromised Active X script. Advice, check your network PCs as well, they could be compromised as well, so formatting and reinstalling windows on this one wont solve the issue. Also how are you doing that net install?? Try doing a clean format and with a genuine XP CD. Something on your end is compromised. If you are being hacked, ever show those logs to your ISP? Ever call and complain about it?

Terrorized by 'War on Terror'
GostHacked replied to kuzadd's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Nice try....but regardless of force size, why didn't Canada commit more of it to Afghanistan if so important compared to Iraq? Where were the tactical aircraft (CF-18s)? Why ony 2,000 - 2,500 troops, and only after NATO rotation, from a force structure of about 62,000 active and 27,000 reserve? If one uses such logic, be prepared for hard questions. One difference, Canada did not enter the war with Iraq. Canada stayed home. So your argument dies right here. Comparing how many troops Canada sent to Iraq? None. -
Captured Brits Staged / BBC
GostHacked replied to PolyNewbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
If no other coalition vesseles were around then this British team was a scout team or doing something low key. Only 15 soldiers were captured. No other major vessels in the area at the time so they could not give back up. These soldiers must have been running around in small patrol boats. Not Frigates or anything like that. Those waters do not have any international recognizable boundries. From what I hear it was only 1.5 NM outside of the iran water border. It could have been their GPS system was faulty and provided them with the wrong information. I think the attack on the British Embassy in Tehran was a protest to the British soldiers in Iranian waters. This all sounds staged to me in terms of the capture and the embassy torching. It does not feel genuine at all, Watch this story die out in another week or so. But it will die out, and there will be something else to debate just down the road. -
Polynewbie http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/speculation -a message expressing an opinion based on incomplete evidence -a single instance or process of consideration I just spent about 10 minutes looking into the word 'speculate'. Showing me that something is possible is also speculation. For you have not proven anything. If I say something is possible, I am speculating and contemplating what the reasons and causes are to back it up. Again it is all speculation. And please, don't insult me anymore. Unlike the others here, I will have no problem reporting you. I have seen the way it has gone in this thread and I am disgusted with not just you Polynewbie, but some of the others in this thread that keep on these childish name calling rants. DROP that, all of it, and you will find that discussion about crazy speculative stuff can be civil. This thread has shown that civility has gone on vacation. Even you attacking Greg in the Support Questions thread, you turned it into a 9/11 thread. So in essence you ARE trolling. Beleive me, my posts are well thought out and I try as much as I can to proof read every post before submitting it. And often with the EDIT function, I needed to clean up some of my posts. My grammer and spelling sucks sometimes. So please take a dose of your own advice and think before you post again. I beg of you. I am asking nicely. Please think before you post again. Notice how long my posts are in this particular thread. Some though does go into it. Instead of cookie cutter hashing responses that you have made over and over again. Sometimes I have to word things differently for you and others to understand. Notice how often I post here in this thread as well. I do read it, so I only post when I think something needs to be addressed here. If you knew me, you would quickly come to an understanding that I say what I think and feel. You would also come to know that I am very intelligent and actually speculate on much more than just 9/11. Most importantly, you would come to understand that I don't torelate stupidity. With all that said and done, I am not going to get into a pissing match with you Polynewbie. Looks like you have done enough pissing for both of us. Can we work together or not?

I can support the troops and not the war. What really is hypocritical of that. What if there was no war? Would there even be a reason to discuss hypocriticalness? I support the troops, I have several friends for the Cadian military who has done two tours there. My uncle was on a civilian contractor in Kabul. He never left the green zone. One of my military friends did encounter some action. The mission I do not support. But I want to suport the troops and say, we are trying to bring you home. We do not want you to die for a cause that was not right to begin with.

Well, eventhought that was a shitty act, they should all still quit their jobs.

But, on 9/12, AFTER the death and destruction, when the folks in the various compartments would start wondering what atrocity they were implicated in. Would not then the various folks in the many compartments say 'Heyyyyy...wait a minit' and then the truth would come out. Insiders blowing the whistle. Yet no insiders. Some have come forward. A few janitorial peronelle in the basement heard loud explosions. Comming from above him when he was in the sublevels. Something like the truck bombing of the garage sub levels could have happened at the same time to produce those explosions in the basement. The truck bomb on the WTC in 93 proved to us that it is a possibility it happened again but with more explosive power . But I am speculating and theorizing and ruling out things. http://www.infowars.com/articles/sept11/se...e_explosion.htm This is the exact same article as found here http://100777.com/node/1352 This I can agree on, Polynewbie, I have seen you speculate on things many times. Even your SPECULATION of several contractors in the bulding each doing a different floor. You have speculated more times in this thread than I have made speculations on this entire forum. EDIT - And the more different contractors you have in the building, the greater the possibility of something slipping out. I will speculate that if there were contractors in the twin toweres, there were maybe a handfull of contractors. Should start looking into who those contractors where and what company they worked for. We need more than just Stephen Jones to come forward. We need more guys like this to come forward, And the media needs to give these people a fair chance at presenting their evidence. So far I have seen no one willing in the MSM to give Truthies and their supporters a fair chance to present their evidence. Fox did a hit peice with Stephen Jones. MANCOW was the show and 'THE GRASSY KNOWL' was where they were in. Kind of like Orilley's NO SPIN ZONE!!!! HAHA. Mancow would shut up tight when the retired NYFD firefighter was speaking, but interupt Stephen Jones when he started speaking. So this show me that the MSM does not want to touch it at all. http://www.infowars.com/articles/sept11/pl...team_member.htm Kevin Smith is Alex Jones' partner for Infowars and PrisonPlanet. Here is the clip of that interview. http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=615...323085&q=mancow I guess I will just be the resonable moderating Truthie and help out Polynewbie with his broken record style.

I am hoping you have done a san for viruses spyware, malware ect .. right??? If it is comming from an IP that your PC is getting from your ISP, then you have a problem with your PC. Does this happen on other websites you visit and post on? What browser do you use? It could be something unique with this website and how it interacts with your browser. What security programs do you have ? Any firewalls?? 95% of the time it is not someone who is hacking, but a virus or a steath program that got to your drive by some method. An unprotected PC online (no FW AV ect) can get a virus in under 10 minutes. I have seen it where a friend bought a new PC, installed everything, forgot the firewall at least, connected online to get some windows updates and his PC was instantly slammed... I spent the rest of the afternoon reinstalling his windows and having a few beers. Try this If you right click on your main windows tool bar, you have the option to select TASK MANAGER. What I suggest is going through that list with Google and find out what the EXEs are for. I have found problems with people computers that way even when a full scan with an antivurus and spyware did not pick up. Or even take a screenshot of your task manager 'Processes' tab. Even if you suspect someone is hacking you. Stop using that PC where you noticed the problem. Try using another PC to post with. Could be your PC is just having a headache and needs to see a doctor.

Terrorized by 'War on Terror'
GostHacked replied to kuzadd's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Canadian Blue 100% agreed on this one. Iraq is a distraction and a debacle for the war on terror. Afghanistan should have been worked on until the job was done before starting a bigger useless job. -
It is not impossible. Nothing is impossible. Once someone understands that nothing is impossible, you must now look at how probable a situation is. Something called compartmentalization. I make a part, you make a part, Polynewbie makes a part, Charles Anthony makes a part. None of us know each other and do not know that all our parts end up at the same place to make one complete item. None of us know the purpose of the item, we just know that we are all building an essential part of something new. Only those at the place where it is all getting put together need to know what the project is really about. So it is not that hard to understand that back when the US started their first atomic weapons programme, at the start and even near the end, only a select few needed to know the whole project. I am only given knowledge on my certain part I am building. I never got the whole picture, I just know my parts are being used for something important. At that point I could only guess what the whole project is about. I am suspiciuous not naturaly, but learned habit. Something in my brain goes off when I find contradicting statements or stories. For me it works on a subconcious level. I have a damn good memory, so when I read a contradiction from the same officials about something they had said before, that gets stored in my brain for future cross reference of the differing statements. Red flags all over the place. To me there are so many inconsistencies even between your MSM outlets, and then even different to the Truthies. Even among Truthies our stories of what took place vary quite a bit. I agree with much of Polynewbie says, but somethings are quite improbable. I find the whole holographic plane to be an interesting angle, but to me it is a non starter. Is it possible? Again, anything is possible. But I will say the holographic planes have a 2% chance of being probable. OK 2% may be high, but I think I have made my point. So even with compartmentalization of the events needed to execute 9/11, you do not need many in the whole know of the situation. Only a few need to know the whole plan. Even among the hijackers, not all knew the whole plot. Only Kalid Sheik Mohammed would really have to know the whole plan. Atta possibly would not have known the other hijackers on the other planes and what their intentions or job was. He was given orders about his part in the whole plot. So when I break it down this way, it is easy to see that compartmentalization can produce an environment where only a few at the top need to know everything. The more your underlings know about your plot, the greater the risk of the plot being exposed.

Attention American forum members
GostHacked replied to Montgomery Burns's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Nice to see you posting again Monty. I have had 3 trips to the hospital here in Ottawa 3 times in the last month. I had gone to a walk in clinic to find out why my testicles are always feeling a constant preassure on them. Like someone sqeezing them. First off this doctor was a total hack. I explained what was happening. I feel pain there, but other than that, ALL other functions are normal and not causing pain. He asked me how long has it been since I have had the sex. In his best broken Vietemese accented english, I had to ask a few times what he said. I had told him it has been a couple years. So he surmised it was just 'build up'. I told him that gets taken care of. So after that debacle I went to Monfort here in Ottawa. I had spent the day there really, got in at 6AM, registered, described my problem, took 3 hours to see a doctor. Then I waited 2 more hours to get an ultrasound done on my boys. Then waited another hour to see what the results were. Hydrocele is what my problem is. It is not a serious condition but can affect my fertility. So now I am waiting for a Urologist to call me and book and appointment. I have waited 4 weeks now, and the doctor should have called me in two weeks. From talking to others with similar issues, I have found out there are only 2 or 3 urologists here in Ottawa. The capitol of Canada, and only two specialists for this type of problem. I am on medication for it, but if I am on it too long, I risk stomach ulcers, so I have been hesitant to really take this stuff. I have been somewhat irratible as of late because it is a constant pain. My second trip was to the main hospital here in Ottawa on Smyth road. I had crushed my had between a pallet hauler handle and a cement post. No broken bones and the total time there was 2 hours. The waiting room was bigger than Monfort and way more people there. So getting in, x-rayed and all ... two hours. Not bad. So one trip was good, the other not so good. -
Yes....there are about 240 countries or nations in the world, depending on the agreed definition of a sovereign state. In order for Canada's government not to be guilty of bombing/killing more than most at the 90 percent threshhold, it would have to be less lethal than about 24 other nations in the world as official government policy. Recent history makes this a tough sell (e.g. Haiti, Afghanistan, Serbia/Kosovo, and Iraq) based on actual military engagements and/or strike missions. One could argue that the actual list of candidates is quite small based on military capability and alliances, but that's how the cookie crumbles. Either way, Canada is a member of the special club that officially kills other nationals to achieve policy goals. So, do you have any source of statistics to back up your claim???? I have been aware of my perception of the US and Americans since I was about 10 years old. For whatever reason it was, I came to an early conclusion I do not like the US government, and to a lesser extent the citizens of the country. I tried to be observant as a child, but really did not get into the reasoning of my thoughts untill the past few years. As a child, I thought I did not like the US. As an adult, I know I don't like the US, and to a lesser extent the ideology of the American Dream and all that it encompasses. To me it is years of having 'WE ARE # 1' 'USA USA USA' ect ect throw out all over the place. I don't like to judge people themselves to quick, for I would be a damn fool. But I can say I do not like the collective that are the American Citizens. Many are proud Americans. Many are smart Americans. Hell, many are even clean Americans. Also as a child, I was proud of being a Canadian. I am still proud to be Canadian, but I can no longer be proud of our government and the officials who run the show. Damn gotta run, I shall expand on this.

Terrorized by 'War on Terror'
GostHacked replied to kuzadd's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I wonder what ever happened to the most awesome piece of fearmongering. The TERROR ALERT SYSTEM!?? You know the colour coded one? Black talks about that one. I have not heard it being raised or lowered in I would say over a year now, maybe two. Wonder why that is? Sgtnasty. Regardless of anyones position on the validity of 9/11 happenings, we can all agree on that the current US Administration is using it to the full advantage. I would even say abusing it to their full advantage. The 2003 Presidential address regarding terrorism and Iraq was crafted and worded so well that most people did not realize what he had done in that speach untill it was too late. Be scared, people want to hurt us. Kill you, destroy your freedom. I have yet to see a terrorist destroy my freedom. It is the politician who tells me I am going to loose my freedoms, and it is the politicians who will eventually take them away. If terrorists can hijack a country as easily as a passenger airliner then you should be scared of the terrorist for he can that way steal and destroy your freedoms. Only those in government/power positions can infringe on our rights and freedoms. It is the politician I fear more than the terrorist. ScottSA So why is the government telling us we should fear terrorists more than car accidents? Considering there are many more fatal car accidents than terror attacks.... or could that be just it. Car accidents are just that, accidents, where terrorism is deliberate and premeditated. Also it is just common sense that when flesh and bones go up against a couple tonnes of metal/plastic/fabric, the flesh and bones tends to loose. Well telling us about the next terror attack will not stop it nor prevent people from asking 'why were we not protected?' It is about how the danger is portrayed in the media. Car accidents not so much, a little blurb on a fatal car crash pile up on an interstate killing 15 people, or let's say the Anthrax mail scare. How many people were actually exposed to Anthrax? Any deaths? The media is in bed with the government to instill fear in all of us. We must fear, we must not forget 9/11....... must not forget ... Kuzaad This is it really. How tangible is that threat to your daily life? Are you going to live in fear because you actually fear something? Or are you just reacting to the media when they tell you you SHOULD be scared and fear. Remember, terrorism is the THREAT of an attack, not the attack itself. Terrorism is the FEAR of being attacked, and not the attack itself. Those in power know how to use this against us. We are always in a constant state of 'OMG we are going to be attacked at any moment', and the governments assists with the fear mongering by telling us we can be attacked at any moment. It can happen at any time, reports from some 'government-official-that-cannot-be-named-for-whatever-reason-they-give-you' tells us there is an imminent attack/threat. And it has taken over 5 years for that next imminent attack to happen. But we should be scared of this threat. It could be chemical, biological, nuclear. It could be anything, and it could happen at any time. If you choose to live in fear, then you are giving in to what the government and media tells you. Why do you choose to live in fear? Why would anyone choose to live in fear? How tangible is that fear?? How many of you are living life right now? and How many of you are living in fear right now?
