  1. The nonsense ends when the world is like this: video video Then we will have a utopia!
  2. All the jobs I keep applying for keep telling me that my application will be disadvantaged based on my sex and my race; two things that I cannot control. Guess that must be white male privilege.

That's not the reason he can't get a job, I suspect.

I seem to be hearing a definite high pitched shrill from the right. At least we don't have to hear it from Harper anymore.

      @ drummindiver - It's not illegal. It's encouraged. It's called employment equity.

  3. This is clearly a microaggression against black people. Check your white privilege.
  4. Hernanday, you need to check your Christian privilege.
  5. Then I guess the Gulf states must be the most racist of all. Because Syrian is a nationality, not a race. Of course they don't. But that doesn't matter to the PC crowd. Sunni Muslims are more 'diverse' than Christians, Jews or Yazidis, therefore they should be given preference in order to make Canada more diverse. Amerindians descend from immigrants too. Ever heard of the Clovis migration 13000 years ago? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Settlement_of_the_Americas
  6. Is that why people in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore are so well off? Because of their dominance over weaker countries? How about the fact that Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, etc. all have higher real GDP per capitas (PPP) than Canada? Is that why Keystone XL was passed, or the EU is the most aggressive in cutting CO2 emissions, or why so much aid comes from Western countries, or why a million Syrians are being accepted as refuges in Western countries while the Gulf states do nothing?
  7. So your big counter argument is just deny the scientific method? Okay... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falsifiability Yes. The ability of the plane to fly does not depend on the claim by the German. Just like the facts do not depend on if a white person claims white privilege exists or not. So you cannot use denial of the existence of white privilege of white people as proof of white privilege.
  8. Of course you would. Anything to keep the SJW narrative alive. Because North Korea has more poverty, more people resorting to cannibalism, more oppression, less economic opportunity, etc. Cause Gaddafi was overthrown, and the west left the country to the chaos of tribalism and Islamists. You never heard of Zeus or Thor? How about the fact that days of the week like Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are all named after anglo-saxon gods? Wait, I thought you said that atheism is all about white privilege. Are you saying that the communists in East Asia are atheist because of white privilege? Maybe... Though I think Somalia might be marginally worse.
  9. Wow... I've heard all manner of insane territorial claims but this one is by far one of the most ridiculous. The original inhabitants of the Islands were the Ainu people. And simply claiming territory 1000s of years ago doesn't make it yours.
  10. Yeah... It's not like there is a Gregory Elliot trial or anything...
  11. Groups of people don't own cultural symbols. No one controls who their ancestors were. Therefore, assigning 'culture' to people based on their race or where their ancestors were from is racist. All cultures are human cultures.
  12. Kuril Islands were never Chinese...
  13. So you are essentially calling an entire group of people racist.

He'll leave them all in the dust when he rigs the elctoral process with ranked ballots. You can bet your life that he'll meet that deadline of 18 months.

      scribblet

Right on... wonder when he's stop giving away our money and start helping Canandians. e.g. 2.65 billion for 'climate change'

  14. No one is from a culture. We are all individuals. The topic is about the nonsense concept of cultural appropriation. What do you expect? "Oh great SJWs. I bow before your great enlightenment and for showing me the error of my ways of not finding everything offensive!" Well there are lots of people that take the position that people are individuals are than individuals can be oppressed. But when we say that, collectivists such as yourself freak out. Anyway, I think there is a more accurate term for cultural appropriation. Cultural appreciation.
  15. Nothing is wrong with it. The SJWs are just idiot racists. The idea that someone somehow owns a culture based on where their ancestors are from only makes sense if one believes in the immoral racist concept of birth-right. Everyone is an individual and no one is responsible for what happened before they were born, including the creation of the culture, so no one has no more right to one culture over another. We shouldn't look at cultures as being owned by a group of people, rather all cultures are human cultures, so all humans should be able to participate in any culture. To say that a black person can't use chopsticks but an east Asian person can is racist. Also, there is no culture without cultural appropriation. All cultures are based on cultural appropriation. The alphabet we are using right now was culturally appropriated from the Romans and the English language uses words appropriated from Anglo-Saxon, Norse, French, Latin, Greek, Celtic, and many other languages.
  16. Men are killing themselves at like 3 times the rate of women. This is across races, countries, cultures and levels of income. Yes. I was born into vilification.
  17. See, I wouldn't have failed. I would have jumped off a building. My mistake.
  18. That's not how the scientific method works. The scientific method gives preference to the null hypothesis and to simplicity. That's why Occam's razor and Akaike's Information Criterion are used in science. And btw, the most widely held position about the burden of proof by philosophers of science is that the burden of proof lies on the person arguing for the more complicated model of reality. So if white people admit that white privilege exists then that is evidence of white privilege. But if white people deny that white privilege exists then that is also evidence of white privilege? Do you not see the problem with that?
  19. We should make policies for individuals and treat people as individuals. People. Women, men and non-binary people. Because there is more to privilege than number of CEOs. Also, why there are more male CEOs is due to men having less intrinsic value to society and having to work to obtain value; this is explained in my reproductive utility thread. Cronyism and corruption exists for all races. Here is the level of corruption around the world: Seems countries with less white people are more corrupt. Atheism is white privilege? All religions are dumb. That's independent of the race or sex of the person saying it. No, it's dumb because it's dogmatic, ignores empirical evidence, and often leads to bad outcomes.
  20. Russia is not our enemy. Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states are. Most people are just too stupid to realize it. Glad to see you have been brainwashed by western media propaganda. Those 'moderate rebels' being bombed by Russia are primarily allies of ISIS. Most of them believe that gays and apostates should be killed.
  21. You realized a person died over this right? And that it helps ISIS, right? Why trivialize it by calling it crying?
  22. Like I've been saying for a while. We should NOT be allied with Turkey. Canada needs to leave NATO.

    1. Smallc

      Smallc

I'm very happy with Trudeau's position in this issue. Turkey is our ally, we don't know all the facts.

    2. overthere

      overthere

Trudeau has a position? When did that happen?

  23. And fighting ISIS is fighting ISIS. The claim that Russia violated airspace is disputed. And Turkey was violating Syrian airspace at the time.
  24. Yes, and that is no good reason to shoot down Russian jets if they are fighting ISIS and it's like 1 km into airspace. They side with ISIS and shoot down a Russian jet. They've attacked to Kurds and funded 'rebels'. They are lead by an Islamist government. Not always. On the other hand, Turkey has flown into Syrian airspace on many occasions. Can Russia therefore shoot down Turkish jets that go into Syrian airspace? Of course not, because that would cause all of NATO to retaliate and therefore nuclear war. Hurray for double standards.
