  1. This. This Gaia worshiping nonsense is getting out of control.
  2. That's my line.
  3. ?????????? Are you trolling me?
  4. Oh yes, you are so oppressed playing the damsel in distress gender role! And of course it's so hard to find a job as a woman when there is a 2:1 hiring preference for hiring women in STEM (http://www.pnas.org/content/112/17/5360.abstract), programs specifically to help women get employed but not for men, hiring preference for women (Philip Oreopoulos) and employment equity programs to advantage women in hiring, especially in the public service where women already make up a disproportionate number of employees. But men who have a much higher unemployment rate? Nah, they clearly have an easier time. No. If you have statistics, please provide them.
  5. But the THEM vs US attitude allows many people to obtain large sums of money, from politicians to lawyers.
  6. The sad part is that I suspect that you are right.
  7. "Which sex spends the most money on cars and car accessories?" For this one, I don't know. Could be either gender. Certainly women control the majority of domestic spending. "Which sex spends the most on fancy sneakers?" No idea. Especially as the definition of sneaker varies quite a bit between English speaking countries. I do know that women spend the most on shoes (admittedly, from experience gay men tend to have a lot of shoes as well). "Which sex spends the most on bespoke suits?" This is because sexist gender roles force men to wear these suits in order to obtain employment. Women have a lot more freedom to wear what they want in a workplace environment be it skirts, dresses, a suit, etc. "Which sex spends the most on expensive watches?" Who uses a watch nowadays? Like seriously. "Which sex spends the most on giant TVs?" This is a good question. I don't know. Personally I don't own a TV and many people I know don't have one either. "Which sex spends the most on power tools they have no practical need for?" This one is probably men. "Which sex does the majority of the work in low-paying service jobs?" Better than being unemployed; men have a much higher unemployment rate than women. Perhaps there is job discrimination against men for these jobs that cause low-skilled men to either be unemployed or take dangerous jobs that have a very high rate of death (well over 90% of workplace deaths are male). The idea that men are discriminated against for these positions is supported by the results of studies such as ones by Philip Oreopoulos. "Which sex does the majority of the work in caregiving professions? Which sex does the majority of the work in education?" Men are discriminated against when it comes to these positions due to societal gender narratives such as 'men are evil rapists and pedophiles' or 'men are less caring than women'. "Which sex does the majority of the work in households?" Same as above. Society is less accepting of men taking these roles. Personally, staying at home in a safe environment benefiting from your spouse's income seems like a pretty good deal compared to working non-stop for decades towards an early grave. The extra stress from work likely adds to the higher suicide rate and lower life expectancy of men.
  8. Power resides where people believe it resides. In the USA south 200 years ago, many people made slavery laws that were 'completely legitimate'. The French monarchy made laws that were 'completely legitimate'. Where are they now?
  9. Justin Trudeau has nice hair and is really pretty. Saudi Arabia has finally allowed women to vote. ISIS allows women to drive. Our male suicide rate isn't as high as Russia. I should have a few decades on this planet before the impending nothingness of death. Lots of positive!
  10. The basis of Canada as well as all of the treaties depends on the legitimacy of the British monarch to make that laws. I don't agree the British monarch had the right to make such laws. So you admit you support institutionalized racism. And technically I'm like one thousandth native on my grandmothers side or something.
  11. I don't own many clothes. Most of my current clothes have holes in them. If clothing is pink, I don't care. I have a pink shirt that I wear occasionally.
  12. Did Norway 'put all their eggs in one basket' or 'think it would be a golden goose for all time'? Or did they take advantage of natural resources to better the wellbeing of their citizens and save for the future?
  13. How is being supportive of the resource sector as well as other sections not 'diversifying' while wanting to shut down the resource sector is? The majority of Canada's economy is not resource based. I guess the push to go 100% renewable with no nuclear or fossil fuels is 'diversity' but a more balanced approach is not. Makes you wonder about the Orwellian redefinition of 'diversity' by neoprogressives.
  14. That wouldn't be so bad if there were pipelines to transport the oil and we didn't have governments and activists intent on shutting it down.
  15. The idea that a colour somehow has a gender or sex is nonsense. It is just a colour.
  16. Those in society who are privileged are generally those who can spend money on unnecessary frivolous luxuries. If you look at the movie series 'The Hunger Games', the people in division 1 are the privileged and they spend their time wearing ridiculous and expensive fashion accessories. The people in most of the other districts are the oppressed and they spend their time mining coal, growing food, chopping wood, fishing, etc. Now let's compare this to the world we live in: Which sex spends the most on jewelry? Women. Which sex spends the most on makeup? Women. Which sex spends the most on ridiculous and impractical shoes? Women. Which sex spends the most on haircuts and manicures? Women. Which sex does the majority of the work in mines? Men. Which sex does the majority of the work in forestry? Men. Which sex does the majority of the work in agriculture or fisheries? Men. Which sex does the majority of the dangerous work that have high workplace fatalities? Men. ... It's almost like the whole 'women oppressed, men privileged' narrative is nonsense... Are you implying all feminists here? Or all female feminists? Or some feminists? Or what?
  17. Nah, it's also more expensive. This is one of the reasons I laugh at the people who complain about the so called 'pink tax' when it comes to razor blades, or shampoo or whatever. Just buy the male version if it's cheaper. Perhaps that is because you believe the whole 'men privileged, women oppressed' narrative so ignore evidence that doesn't fit the narrative?
  18. So you admit your belief is based on religion.
  19. Future generations may have also benefited from the increased technological progress that could have occurred if resources were instead used to advance technology. I fail to see how shutting down the resource sector in the name of 'saving the planet' is 'diversifying'.
  20. I agree. The very basis of the Canadian state is flawed as it is based on birth right, nationalism and collectivism as opposed to individualism.
  21. 'Our', 'we'. This is the thinking of collectivists. People are individuals. I never told anyone where to stay nor did I sign any agreement. And no British monarch from hundreds of years ago ever had the right to create racist laws that exist until today in the first place. You guys have a moral system comparable to original sin, or North Korea's 3 generations of punishment from crime. Everyone should be equal under the law, no exceptions.
  22. That depends on many factors. A few degrees warmer most likely.

    3. Smoke

      Smoke

"Where are the un-muzzled Canadian scientists?"

They are dancing in the hallways of parliament hill with all the other public servants as they cheer the new messiah when he graces them with his presence and walks by.

    4. On Guard for Thee

      On Guard for Thee

Amazing what free speech does for people eh?

  23. Perhaps this indicates that the civil service is partially politicized.
