  1. The 2C target has no basis. The 2C target has no basis. The 2C target has no scientific or economic basis. Why is it not concerning to most people that our 'leaders' are trying to meet an emission target that has no good basis?

@ Reefer Madness - actually a pi C target wouldn't be that bad...

  2. No, they are acts of pure love! Love for Allah and his prophet! Eternal heaven with 72 virgins? There is plenty to be gained.
  3. Yep. Easy to do when pretty much every major political party in every western country consists of idiots. Already sort of starting to happen. These events are common in the west now, people are getting used to it.
  4. I don't think it makes sense to generalize a twitter hashtag be it #blacklivesmatter, #gamergater, #idlenomore or whatever. Anyone can self-identify with the hashtag and harass others.
  5. I'm not sure what you are referring to. Could you elaborate? Are you referring to this?: "Van Hateren multiplies solar irradiance by 0.7 and then by 0.25 because 0.7 is roughly the Earth's albedo and 0.25 is the ratio of the area of a circle to the surface area of a sphere of similar radius."
  6. Idiocy and ignorance. The west isn't acting in it's own best interests. Rather it is run by idiots that are ignorant about the situation so make bad decisions. The west is allied with Saudi Arabia due to historical reasons (oil and the cold war, yes oil was relevant in the past, but it hasn't been relevant for the past 2 decades) and has viewed Russia as an enemy for historical reasons (cold war), and the west just never reevaluated who it is allied with. And of course when the civil war in Syria started, well Assad = bad cause he is allied with the Russians, who are apparently bad for some reason, where as our Saudi BFF's say the rebels are good, which must be true since Saudi Arabia is good, so the West needs to fund the rebels in order to get rid of Assad.
  7. Then why was Keystone XL cancelled? If it's all about oil. There is a proxy war between Russia and the West, I agree. But it's not over oil.
  8. You are deluded if you don't think women can be terrorists, that there aren't a lot of ISIS-supporting women, or that women don't play a larger role in raising and indoctrinating children into the ideology of Wahhabism. Actually, if anything more women in that 25000 might be a bad thing since that will result in that 25000 having a higher birth rate, which means more terrorists 2 decades from now.
  9. Will the Paris attacks result in Marie Le Pen being the next president of France?

  10. No religious people apparently.
  11. This oil-oriented western foreign policy is falsified once you point out that Keystone XL was canceled.
  12. Religions aren't the same. Stop equating them. I suggest you go read a Quran.
  13. Maybe we should rethink membership of the UN given that it's controlled largely by the Islamic voting block and has Saudi Arabia as the head of the Human Rights Commission. Islamism.
  14. Our understanding of the impacts of ocean acidification on Coral growth may be completely wrong: https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn28468-growing-corals-bathe-themselves-in-acid-without-suffering-damage/
  15. Why does any country need to be in NATO for that?
  16. NATO was created due to the cold war. The cold war ended decades ago. Maybe it's time to leave NATO. I don't like being allied with Turkey as they bomb our Kurdish allies who are fighting ISIS.
  17. You are as bad as the SJWs. People are individuals, not a collective. The median age in Syria is 24 years. Most of the Syrians alive today were NOT alive during the cold war.
  18. It's the Patriarchy! On a more serious note, I don't even disagree with the option of military force against ISIS. My problem is I don't trust the politicians in charge to make good decisions because all of them refuse to identify what ISIS is.
  19. Exactly. You have to go back decades. Newsflash: the cold war ended. Get over it.
  20. A definition of insanity is to keep trying the same thing and expecting a different result. We've had decades of seeing what you describe occur, but the politicians are too stupid to see it. We funded Islamists in Afghanistan to fight to Soviets, and look we get 911. We funded Saddam to fight the Iranians (who we had to fight because we funded the Shah) and then we have to fight Saddam in multiple wars.
  21. Yes, but unfortunately collective insanity has occurred when it comes to western policy regarding Syria. Russia is one of the few sane countries regarding Syria. The problem is that on the right you have religious apologists that think that religion can do no wrong and on the left you have cultural relativists that think criticizing Islamism is racist. So none of the major political parties in any western nation recognizes the problem of Islamism. So you get stupid policy responses such as not being cautious about the Islamists in Libya, funding Islamists in Syria, looking at the Syrian conflict as a proxy war against Russia, not cooperating with Russia, etc. And you have politicians from Obama, to Harper, to Hollande, to Cameron, to Trudeau, to Merkel proclaiming that none of the Islamic terrorism has anything to do with Wahhabi Islam and the Saudis are our BFFs so we need to keep supporting them despite the fact that they fund terrorists and commit genocide against gays and apostates.
  22. Really? He's not victim blaming the victims like with Charlie Hebdo?
  23. Someone's angry their beliefs are being challenged...
  24. Of course it does. Who funds the Wahhabist ideology that causes groups like ISIS and Boko Haram? Saudi Arabia and the gulf states. How do Saudi Arabia and the gulf states get most of their money to fund Wahhabist ideology? Oil. What is used an excuse to prevent development of Alberta Oil that can displace Saudi oil and therefore reduce money that funds Wahhabist ideology? Climate change.
  25. I'm just pointing out that you aren't being consistent. I suggest you rethink your beliefs if they are inconsistent.
