Yeah right, words that mean the same thing. There's a lot of debate right now over the best way to communicate about global warming and get people motivated. Do you scare people or give them hope? What's the right mix? I think the answer to that depends on where your audience's head is. In the United States of America, unfortunately we still live in a bubble of unreality. And the Category 5 denial is an enormous obstacle to any discussion of solutions. Nobody is interested in solutions if they don't think there's a problem. Given that starting point, I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis.

It makes me shudder to think of what disasters awaited the Western world had Gore gotten into the White House and been faced with 9/11. At least we can be thankful for that. It was the inaction of the Clinton Gore years that led to 911 and the deaths of thousands.

You did. Unless you can show me where Al Gore used the word "invent" During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. Yet we know it was created years before and had been progressing along for years before Gore came along. Creating inventing, the same thing. Which is why jounalists at the time and still do to this day , use the word invent or invented talking about Gores claims. He was a phony then and he's a phony today.

It's sad. At the end of WW2 Canada had the third largest military in the world, and just as important, knew how to use it.

It's a possibility, but I doubt it. Someone in the CIA deliberately leaked it. No disagreement there. The problem is, if it's a real plan then leaking it would destroy it. If it's not a real plan it only puts Iran on heightened awareness. It won't drive them to any table, they're already at the table. All they've used the table for so far is to stall and buy time until they can blow the table up.

What's there to explain, they shouldn't have been there in the first place. Let them start their own church. Bringing corruption like that into the church is crazy. What is unacceptable is people who think they should be able to force the acceptance of bad behavior of others, on those who disagree with the bad behavior. Be it in the church or anywhere else.

Gore's claim was: "... in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet." Create, invented same thing. No one owes Gore any apology. That is simply ridiculous. He's an even bigger liar today than ever and a hypocrite to boot.
