WOW, talk about the corruption of the media. How quick you (most of you)are to jump and stomp on the people when none of you know ALL of the facts. This kind of stuff is always going on by wannabe politicians/citizens who think they know it all, especially in Vaughan. Why don't you all wait until the real story comes out and no that doesn't mean from the Toronto Star.

Why are Liberals lying about Ignatieff's past again?
treehugger replied to Bryan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Everyone keeps talking about what a scholar igantieff is. He majored in history at Harvard. boy that will go a long way in politics regarding the lies.. isn't that what the liberals do best? -
A 'Change in PM' and 'A Change in Government'
treehugger replied to expat voter's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It seems to me that none of you read the news much. Canada has fared better than all major countries in the world through the last recession. All you want to do is complain, complain, so typical of left wing groups. Ask not what shape the country is in cause I don't care. Ask what the country can do for ME. Me me me I gues it's the billions of $$$$$$$ that the liberals and the other socialists the ndp are offering to you that makes you happy. -
Is there any true reason why the Bloc is a federal party?
treehugger replied to Tilter's topic in Religion & Politics
Where could a province go on it's own? everything in each province belongs to the country, how can such a few people possibly pay the country back for what they want. People sure like to talk and talk is cheap. Anyone wanting to break up the country should be railroaded right out of here. -
I am not a dude and what is your point? Everyone knows where the centre is, what has that got to do with it up for sale? Because of where it is situated is probably the reason why it is up for sale. Everyone knows where the centre is, what are you talking about other than giving us a tour of the city?

Why are blacks committing the most murders?
treehugger replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Local Politics in Canada
That seems like a GREAT way to after a job. Show the boss your criminal lists. For sure you'll be hired. GIMME A BREAK! -
Here are the facts about the convention centre. The convention centre is owned by Canada Lands Co.and is an arms length group of the federal crown. Only the north block is for sale. It consisits of a hotel, 1,200 parking garage and an office tower. The centre section is leased (99 year lease) by the provincial corp. It was owned fully by Canada Lands Co. in 2008. and it is 27 years old. The value of it has been determined and is thought to probably seel in a year. For what reason would the government need to hold onto this part of the building?. Major repairs will be coming up in a few years. Not much to get excited about in my opinion.

In today's NATIONAL POST, there is a story about the two and more main cedit card companies being sued for the very reason that ndp is speaking about. When it is solved, if ever, I wonder who will take credit for the idea.

treehugger replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Any political party that works in Canada and sits outside the "house" until OUR National Anthem has been sung before they slither into the room should be kicked right out of CANADA! the bloc be damned! -

What's the Harper government scandal? -
CTV news. March 29, 2011 The Ontario debt is 3/4 of a trillion dollars right now. If the interest rates go up 1% the interest due will be 500 billion $ more. Why don't you people deal in facts.

Prime Minister Michael Ignatieff
treehugger replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You must read the Star.the Liberal. paper There was a mention of coalition by Ignatieff.I would say there already has been a coalition with the government falling. They all got together, don't kid yourself. -
This is my pick also, most beautiful music ever from a movie.

Left wing councillors vote against turfing TCHC board!
treehugger replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Local Politics in Canada
The fact that Mayor Ford got a 72% approval today by Toronto and the GTA means that all of the crybabies that don't want the last four losers to resign from their Toronto housing job are living in some strange world. -
Unless the U.S Target can solve the copyright on the name Target that Fairweathers hold in Canada, they might have to search for another name. Bullseye perhaps?

Charlton Heston wants long-gun registry scrapped...
treehugger replied to Radsickle's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Do you feel that every person should believe the very same thing? Some believe the registry should be scrapped and some say no to the scrapping of it. This is the way it should be. At any rate it isn't the long guns that are causing crimes. They are used by hunters and sports people. -
The TTC didn't go up, the taxes didn't go up, and it just shows when council really HAS to work they can come up with money to cover everything. Amazing isn't it. Mayor Ford is doing extremely well since he has been elected by the MAJORITY of people, especially as the city was left in debt. Oh yes miller found some money didn't he.

Why would Mayor Ford force more officers on Chief Blair if the force doesn't need them. Do you actually read what you put in print? At any rate, 42 new officers graduated yesterday, as they have completed their courses. So what's the problem?
