do you think it's right to accept applications base on certain rules and then comeback a few years later and say we're not accepting you because you don't qualify under the newest rules? it is already harming canada's reputation.

the rules are always changing in immigration to try to address the problems we have. here are some examples: 1) an accepted occupation list for the federal skilled worker program. these are skills and occupations that canada needs. 2) less points for those who are above the age of 35 3) they've actually frozen the parents/grandparents sponsorship program and now have a visa program (called super visa) where the parents/grandparents are able to come to canada after private health insurance is bought for them. the program is still young and has its problems, but it is a start. 4) most of the jobs that need to be filled in canada are low-skilled and low income jobs and this is the reason provinces (under the provincial nominee program) have created their own programs to address their own needs. at the end of it all, we need more people to come to canada. we need our population to go up. the success of first generation canadians is something we should look at. overall, children of new immigrants do quite well in test scores and in adopting the cultures and customs of canada. there is very little time left for canada as the baby boomers are starting to retire. with the increasing number of retirees with higher than ever life expectancy, while birthrates are going down, we need to be pro-active. -

perhaps you can start a government task force to go and start making people reproduce. not sure how solving the problem of not having enough people by adding more people does not make sense to you. -

lets see your facts: you're talking about 'skilled immigrants' and to back up your statement, you give stats on 'family class'? an honest debate requires that you be honest in how you present your argument. we should also look at the source of stats and comments. 'centre for immigration policy reform', is an extension of the fraser institute, which puts agenda before the truth. information coming out of anywhere should be checked, especially special interest groups like CIPR. i agree, we should have a debate about it. the biggest problem that many of these skilled workers have, when they enter canada, is not that they're not qualified in the skill or that they don't speak english well enough; the biggest problem are the regulatory bodies and the acceptance of their credentials. this issue is slowly being looked at and resolved. for example, there are programs for foreign doctors in some of the provinces like saskatchewan, that fast track foreign doctors in giving them licenses. those who have a fear of immigration need to take into consideration that canadians are not having enough children and with the baby boomers starting to retire and no one to take their positions and to start paying taxes, we need immigrants more than ever. some of the steps that kenney is taking in trying to reform the immigration system are the right steps. for example, trying to meet canada's need for low-skilled and trades workers. -
More cheats. This type of human nature makes me sick!

hasn't the holocaust been milked enough? -
majority will not be eligible under the new rules.

one of the changes kenney made was to return all federal skilled worker applications that were sent before february 2008. over 250,000 people were effected by this decision. people who have been planning their lives around their immigration to canada. these people were qualified under the rules when they applied and now, because of immigration canada's inefficiency, they have to suffer. the harper government has made quite a few decisions that have damaged canada's reputation.

Israel says it will attack Iran in a month or so
bud replied to MACKER's topic in The Rest of the World
oh maybe because the arabs could not accept that a foreign country (britain) decided to create a country in the middle of their land without the palestinian consent and acceptance. oh and there is the whole, 500+ palestinian villages being destroyed by jewish militant groups and israeli army and over 2/3 palestinians being driven out of what is now israel. -
israeli deputy prime minister: Iran never called to wipe out Israel
bud replied to bud's topic in The Rest of the World
they talk about moving the cancerous 'regime'. it's true, if we want to move towards peace, the hawkish right wing israeli government needs to be removed. this is a regime that has vowed to never allow a palestinian state. -
israeli deputy prime minister: Iran never called to wipe out Israel
bud replied to bud's topic in The Rest of the World
iran's stance on israel's legitimacy is a red herring. israel needs to accept a palestinian state as according to international law instead of dragging its feet while annexing more palestinian land. increase of illegal israeli settlements on palestinian land is not self defense. it's colonization and land theft. -

you're babbling. you were supposed to comeback to me when you were able to be honest, truthful and objective instead of trying to push an agenda in any means possible. land theft and not allowing a palestinian state to be formed is not self defense. it doesn't matter how many times you repeat it. the creation of israel was an injustice that is now has to be accepted. injustice because a foreign country decided to allocate land to people from other parts of the world, without consultation and acceptance by the people who have been living there for centuries. but we must forgive this injustice in order to live in peace and accept what majority of the world, including canada accepts, which is land based on the 1967 green line. this is something most of the current palestinian leaders (either officially or unofficially) agree on but every single israeli government cannot bring itself to agree on. all we've seen is more land theft and more excuses. this is the truth. can you start from there? -

Israel says it will attack Iran in a month or so
bud replied to MACKER's topic in The Rest of the World
there is a reason why israel is disliked in the middle east and it's not because of racism. the reason is understandable and legitimate. it's because israel will not allow a palestinian state to form while continuing to annex (steal) more palestinian land with their illegal settlements. nobody likes a bully. -

israel is one of the biggest problems in the middle east. you're lying if you say otherwise. every country in the middle east wants to see their nuclear capacity disabled. you're lying if you say otherwise. -

lols. way to try to give yourself credibility by starting the post out with CNN! lets examine the information you have presented: this 'ireport' page gives us nothing from CNN, but only the following link: which you, one of the most dishonest posters on here, have posted before, and i called you on. the web site www.iran-press-service.com goes to, not a news outlet. it has no credibility, just like you have no credibility. i mean really? even after posting this bogus link once before and being called on it, you do it again? have you no shame? will you go to any length to cheer for your team? the rest of the crap you posted: do you need a geography lesson on where iran and egypt are? yes? and? ahmadinejad has said 'the zionist regime' many times. how does this prove any of your lies? it actually confirms the truth that ahmadinejad has pointed to the 'zionist regime'. egypt............ iran. geography lesson in session. you have failed again. -
nuclear talks in istanbul and natanyahu's fear of diplomacy
bud replied to bud's topic in The Rest of the World
then the west responds with other options, like tightening the sanctions even more. it's obvious that the sanctions have worked in bringing iran to the table and it's obvious that iran's stubbornness has worked in bringing u.s. to the table, despite pressure from aipac and the neo-cons. -
it's a shame that quality posts like the above so often go to waste because of some people's inability to have a real and open-minded discussion.

the neocons are freaking out because diplomacy now seems to be at the center and may produce results. just the prospect of success is causing panic. so why is it that netanyahu and his supporters in washington fear diplomacy more than war? here is an article with a rational and logical explanation of the situation: Netanyahu and Obama are at it again. The hardline Israeli Prime Minister, standing next to Senator Joe Lieberman, accused Obama of having given Iran a “freebie” during the Istanbul talks this past weekend. Iran can continue to enrich uranium “without any limitation” for another five weeks, Netanyahu charged. Nothing could be further from the truth, Obama shot back moments later from the other side of the world, at the Latin America summit in Colombia. "The notion that somehow we've given something away or a 'freebie' would indicate Iran has gotten something,” he said. “In fact, they've got some of the toughest sanctions that they're going to be facing coming up in just a few months if they don't take advantage of these talks." http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/04/17/why-netanyahu-s-afraid-of-diplomacy.html

lols there is a reason why you didn't post the link to the actual quote, because there is no link to this alleged quote. you tried this before and managed to find an article to some site that pretended to be a news outlet and now this. you are so blatantly dishonest that you might as well come out and tell everyone that you will go to any length to help your team win. why can't you be an honest person?
