IMO We do not have a military threat issue as it seems that every successive government has been quite happy to use our massive resource index to buy off the bullies and prop up our seat at the negotiating table. We are no where near tapped. Wild Bill, for myself not having really thought about the realities of war on our soil, you make an interesting point. Thank-you.

Someone in the Liberal Party is Lying
Yesterday replied to M.Dancer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Mad Max wrote this...All these Liberal Policies are the Lead action of Present Day Conservatives and our Prime Minister Stephen Harper. I understand why I am having a hard time separating the Socialist mentality across parties. I was having a hard time with accepting the fact that a Conservative party was pursuing policies that I viewed as Liberal too. So I actually perhaps wasn't as confused as I thought. Still more to learn though. So, is the production based dividend a socialist concept? Did the Conservatives just adopt the idea. IE: The Federal Counsel on Climate Change. Has anyone read this 181 page piece of silliness? Count Ignatieff, giggle. -
I definitely don't agree with this...what about the G7 and the Dollar Refunding Program? Far from inconsequential quite influential.
-
Sadly so I would have to agree with you.

Hi, ok I have to ask you too, why do you call Harper a socialist? The same with Trudeau. I am just trying to figure out what a socialist is and what actions these labeled people took to earn the label. This is all new to me.

Hi, would you tell me why so many references to Harper being Russian/socialist? Why did you? What has he done to make people think this? -
No blame, perhaps shame and definately responsibility. I say all three as it is government that signed away our rights time and time again to gain the power that the money these people weild can give them. A human fallacy. Not particularly Socialist but I would say all parties, all governments and most people everywhere. War, a preference I don't pretend to understand through foolish justification. Long since robbed of its power of conquest/defense left to wallow in pity and scorn as a tool for simple monetary gain and at its absolute worst if the perception of some were to be believed, a tool for population control.

One world government does seem to be the flavour at the moment. I have watched many a video and read more than few articles and continue to do so as really only time will tell what the reality of the statement will be. To me I just see a regrouping of most of the various groups aforementioned in this thread and is strictly geared towards commercial development of underdeveloped countries while leaving the internal infrastructure mostly to the discretion of its own government. It is apparent in the huge unrest of most European countries that are involved in the EU not to mention our own when considering the North American Union. No country wants to let go of it's sovereignty. The Soviet Union, although a special case unto itself is another example of how idividuality really does count and of how culture really is a tour du force and should never be underestimated along side of the inability to tolerate anything but self governance within each country.

Global Finality of Settlements is a very lenghty indepth creation of a monetary system based on equal trade or gold/mineral standard. It is interesting and enlightening and built by growing number of people who feel very strongly about this. However, as you state, with the current concentration and geological placement of gold and minerals I want to read into this seemingly innocent alternative, an underlying agenda. I do not think though that it will ever happen. In reality it is not paper money based on need that is the problem. It is simply the current corruption and the much needed understanding of how to bring this fractional reserve system back to tolerable levels. There is not enough gold or other in the world to cover both the current world debt and future profit, unless something like the ST. Germain's Fund is going to jump in out of no where and bail out the world with a dollar figure that has 45 zeros behind it. Giggle. IMO, the only way to truly stabalize a country or the world is to be able to seperate private need from commercial and support it internally. Seperate from both fractional banking and interest.

Another City Councillor out of control!
Yesterday replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Local Politics in Canada
I suggest that we steer away from the theatrics of the political stage before we end up completely boondoggled like the US and start demanding as Canadian citizens that the government address monetary policy in its true forms and the inherant unfixable problems that come with it. Taxes, pay cuts and national debt are not the issue itself, they are the result. In my mind, we should be able to seperate the money needed to run the country from the commercial sector. With proper creation/cancellation policies the government could produce the money needed as shown in many articles and documents. Leave the commercial sector to the regular banks and let them continue with some form of fractional banking, with the proper utilization it could be a good tool to cool the over production we suffer from....just rambling. -
I'll tip my hat to that. I do love to ask questions, not always smart ones. The foundation of a good question is made up of many layers of stupid questions.

A completely unsubstantiated personal opinion...because Harper et al wants in the Basket. China would prefer to align currencies with us for many reasons as well as Russia and the EU. They all have substantial financial investment in our mineral resources and would love to see the end the US dollar international position. I am not yet sure who I would want to say actually has vested interest in our international reputation and why but this is my current hunch.

I think the term slavery, while apropriate to a certain extent, it does not really do justice to the situation. We may be enslaved perhaps, but it is to the dollar by our own will which shows in the general acceptance around the world of this system even from those who know better, this fight against fractional rerserve and the banks to my knowledge is an old one and not a very well fought one to date. I hate to say it but I must, complacency. The reasoning behind the lack of transparency has more to do with the fact that this system has failed grossly and every country is in debt up to their ears and quite liable to international fraud charges so if the truth of the gross misconduct within this system became public conversation to any great degree the whole system would be in danger of collapse in an uncontrolled devastating way. This can not happen regardless of how wrong this situation is. Greed and only greed did this to us, both personal and public. As long as we progressed along with the heightening of the standard of living we where quite happy to not look to far past the end of our noses. It always sucks to wake up late, especially in the face of so many earlier generations of public and governments trying so hard and even dying to make us aware of the folly of this system. No conspiracy. Perhaps though a system in its death throws in a controlled way. Time will tell. There are many rumours about the demise of the Federal Reserve in the US and a reset to gold/mineral standard and the reintroduction of the treasury note. As I have mentioned before, I do not see this as a reality. However, consider this....China and Japan want to remove the US dollar from the international currency position in the Basket and replace it with the SDR credit system from the IMF. They are in a position to legitimatley fight this due to the realities of the value of the US dollar not propped up by the IMF. The US has been begging China to revalue/realign their currency to a compromised value of a combination of stability from both China and the IMF so as to retain their posistion in the basket. Also snuggling up to Japan to support them by causing a rift between the 3 countries over the what I am calling the false flag bombing of the South Korean ship. China has an interesting relationship to north Korea and when this happened they were not so quick to get involved and this upset Japan and made them pull closer to the US....everyone has an agenda. Time will tell.

The Bilderberg group, imo, are mostly responsible for helping governments and world organizations figure out how to finance themselves. Two taxes I have a feeling that have been influenced by them are the Tobin and VAT. They are also instrumental in creating both the funding and mandate for the IMF. They are a very wealthy group of individuals with many stories surrounding them. I think my favorite is the ST. Germain's Trust. Wouldn't that be amazing if it where true. A lot of people think so. Personally I don't think it makes any sense. However, when I consider the fact that the FCCC wanted to amoratize the production tax back to 1780ish I do wonder if the money behind this group is not that old. The connection between the FCCC and Bilderberg is the fact that once again they are instrumental in creating the funding and mandate. Any mandate built on the fractional reserve concept has Bilderberg written all over it and the lending platform of this collected tax to underdeveloped countries is this concept on steroids, another debt to never be paid but forever heavily collected on.

Hi, you should never ask a woman how old she is. I will however admit to be a young woman in my late 30s. No, I am not a political science student just a restless mind with the time and the desire to understand. Most of my personal studies have been about rather recent events which is why I struggle abit in trying to figure out how all these agendas are aligned. There are so many current events to read it is hard to focus on the history. Between dis-information and sheer volume of information, well its an ongoing project. A big part of my interest stems from the cross border market fraud between Canada and the US. This last year has been a big eye opener for me. Lets just say I decided to step away from the garden and stop smelling the roses for awhile. Now, I am firmly entrenched and fascinated with the world of politics and finance. This is my first political forum and I am so glad that I stopped in. I am learning so much. So much about the people and parties that are responsible for creating all these agendas and what not. This place is a treasure trove for a person like me. Thanks for helping me yesterday. If I can't ask simple questions I'll never learn this properly, I would prefer to be corrected so I can be correct. So, how old are you? -

Well, my goodness, this most definately clears some fog. Thank-you. I can not believe that what I read in that journal is conservative. I can't see any connection with that to Harper's government. You know, I feel like I can go back and read a few things with pleasure because now it might make more sense. Really? Conservative? Although, now that you mention it the Dollar Refunding Program and the Federal Counsel on Climate Change seem to make alot more sense as to direction and Harper is all over those. Can you smell the gear oil? Giggle. Thanks. -

I said Medical insurance maybe put your reading glasses on, it is called Medicare you might want to read about it. The government took it over in ever province following the CCF's (NDP's) example in Saskatchewan. It is like you live in 1940 or missed the last 60 years. The conservatives support it (In fact they help bring it in with Diefenbaker) so if you think it is socialism I suggest you leave the party. I've definately missed most of the last 60 years. Giggle. -

OK reading Punked last message, I am still missing something. Brains, maybe....perhaps I should ask where on the grid does the Social Credit Theory sit. I realize that I am being redundant with this theory but it is the only socialist platform I am at all familiar with so it is my starting point in understanding the Canadian version of Socialism. Sort of a mixture of socialism and democracy touted by both the Liberals and the NDP and the Green Party too at varying degrees. Are the Liberals merely demanding the NDP adhere to their own version of socialism or what are the Liberals? -

The NDP article you quoted does sound reminiscent of the Social Credit Theory. I remember reading a post elsewhere on this forum that opined how the Liberals are moving to the center and more ready to define themselves with almost conservative interests. Perhaps I am starting to see the difference correctly? -

This is not what I had thought of as the difference between fascism and communism, I thought this the difference between socialism and communism. Both with varying degrees of overlap within their respective quarter of the political grid. Fascism I had looked at as more of an extreme left or right of either faction. I have a lot to learn. Thanks for letting me ask questions so freely and without embarrassment. -

Hi, yes I see the 2 different angles. It is the long list of attributes that need to be defined as either or other that often leaves me feeling confused. Sometimes I can't read or absorb enough fast enough to satisfy my curiosity. The overlaps of each agenda are endless. -

Are you calling the Conservatives fascist? I had not thought to call them that. My mental picture paints the right/conservatives as old school socialism and the left/liberals as new school socialism. New school socialism as a product of the G group formed at the fall of the soviet union(can't remember the number off the top of my head) involving Estonia, Georgia, Canada amongst others. I had looked at German type communism as fascist, perhaps more atune with the Liberal Democratic party in the US.
