  1. Maybe he's been accused of worse, but this is the first time people have heard those words come out of his mouth. Perhaps some people have been able to rationalize that his inability to stay faithful is just a quirk, maybe they even admire his manliness. Bill Clinton and JFK and Rudy Giuliani and Newt Gingrich and many others are famed womanizers, so Trump's in good company, right? That's not so bad! Everybody does it, according to Rudy. Trump's ability to land primo babes is a sign of what an Alpha Male he is! But none of those other guys were ever recorded bragging about how they can walk up to women and grab them by the pussy because they're stars. Trump's campaign was already floundering, I think this is probably the nail in the coffin (or maybe the wooden stake through its heart.) You think the Wiki dump will convince people that Trump is the right guy to fix Wall Street? People who actually care about fixing Wall Street know that Trump's idea of total deregulation is a disaster waiting to happen. It's the opposite of fixing Wall Street. I think you're describing a fantasy scenario. The idea of Trump stepping aside willingly seems highly far-fetched, because it would mean admitting he lost, and he's incapable of doing so. The idea that he could remain disciplined and focused enough during tomorrow's town hall to somehow get Hillary to melt down? He will have a hard time keeping from melting down himself. I expect that he's probably going to be confronted with these comments in the opening minutes of the debate and will be agigated and defensive for the rest of the show. I think he's going to get humiliated. I think about the best GOP supporters can hope for from the debate is that he manages to avoid losing his temper, yelling, or throwing a punch at someone. The Trump brand has already been seriously damaged. Getting clobbered in the general election won't make it any worse. -k
  2. Mitt Romney and John McCain: Article also mentions more Republicans asking for Trump to be replaced. It's apparently no longer possible. Republicans are in full panic right now, turning against Trump and worried that he's costing them not just the White House but down-ballot races as well. -k
  3. Not sure if you've heard, but there are some who are convinced that calling Rosie O'Donnell fat is the extent of Trump's misogyny. The contents of Clinton's Goldman-Sachs speech might have mattered if she was still running against Bernie Sanders... but running against a guy like Trump? "Hillary's soft on Wall Street! Better vote for the guy who wants to completely deregulate Wall Street!" And if it was a different news day, maybe it would be getting more press. But right now, Hillary could shoot somebody in the streets and it wouldn't matter because the Trump thing is going nuclear. Aside from Paul Ryan publicly blasting him and dumping him from their event (Mike Pence will attend instead) there is a long list of Republicans now blasting Trump, many withdrawing their support, and some even calling for him to step down and let the party choose an emergency replacement. Republicans denouncing Trump include Paul Ryan, RNC chairman Rince Priebus, , Senate leader Mitch McConnell, Sen Kelly Ayotte, Sen Ted Cruz, Sen Ron Johnson, Rep Jeff Flake, Sen Richard Burr, and "low energy" Jeb Bush are among those denouncing Trump. House Oversight Committee chairman Rep Jason Chaffetz, Utah governor Gary Herbert are among those saying they can no longer support Trump. Republican senators Mike Lee and Mark Kirk both want him to step down. Mark Kirk called him "a malignant clown" and "unfit to be president". Former Republican primaries candidate Jon Huntsman also said that Trump should step down. -k

  5. I certainly support Trump continuing to exercise his free speech rights! I hope he continues to exercise his free speech rights as vigorously as possible! And I certainly hope that people will listen to what he says and decide whether this is the sort of person they would want to see as president. -k
  6. Paul Ryan on new Trump audio: Good for you, Paul. This is a damning indictment of the man's character, and requires a serious response. Trump on new Trump audio: Well, so much for a serious response. Sorry, Mr Speaker Ryan, your candidate isn't the man you deserve. Way back in 2008 when people were attacking John McCain for that gorilla joke that was in poor taste, I was sympathetic to John McCain's response that it was just a joke, because I think all of us have told jokes that were in bad taste at some time or another. But this isn't a joke in poor taste, this is a fricking guy who wants to be president bragging about how he can just walk up to a woman and grab her by the pussy because he's a star and can do whatever he wants. This isn't a joke, this is the man describing how he acts. This is the man telling you in his own words the content of his character. I didn't support Mitt Romney and I disagreed with his views, but I never doubted that he was a decent person. I supported John McCain, and I believed that he was a decent person. I didn't agree with G.W. Bush or think he was a very good president, but I believe that he is at heart a very decent person. I believe that Bob Dole and G.H.W. Bush were decent and honorable men. I don't believe that any of that can be said of Donald J Trump. His policy ideas, such as they are, are idiotic... his history in the world of business is utterly reprehensible, and his moral character as a human being is utterly disgusting. He likes to walk up to women and "grab them by the pussy" or start kissing them, because as far as he's concerned women are pieces of meat put here for his entertainment. How astounding it is that women haven't embraced this candidate. How astounding. It must be because they just want to see a woman win. That must be it, right? And I can hardly wait to hear the excuses and the rationalizations. "...b-b-b-but... Bill Clinton..." "...b-b-b-but... the liberal media?" Come on, Trump supporters, I'm so looking forward to this. Don't disappoint me. Please give this your best shot. I can hardly wait. This is going to be so good. -k
  7. As I mentioned before, Trump's history of treating women like crap goes way beyond insulting Rosie O'Donnell or Alicia Machado. Aside from his well-known history of adultery and humiliating his wives, some of the goodies that have popped up during the campaign: -treated female cast and crew on "The Apprentice" like pieces of meat. -told managers at his golf courses to fire female staff that he didn't find attractive. -a strong woman like Ivanka wouldn't be a victim of sexual harassment! -women who are sexually harassed in the workplace can just quit and find other jobs. -the progressive maternity leave policy Ivanka claimed existed at Trump's companies turns out to be fiction. You keep trying to trivialize his misogyny by saying "oh, it was just a couple of tweets about Rosie O'Donnell", but it's a lot more than that. His meltdown over Alicia Machado isn't a one-time thing, it's a part of an ongoing pattern. Like when he stayed up late at night hate-tweeting about Megyn Kelly after the debate -- "bimbo" ... "had blood coming out of her whatever" ... because she asked him questions that made him unhappy. The dude was absolutely enraged at being questioned by a woman. And he keeps talking about how he'd be banging Ivanka if he wasn't her dad. He views even his own daughter as a sex object. What could be more damning than that? "Hillary left thousands dead! Better vote for the guy who wants to nuke them all!" -k
  8. I know that you guys like to run around shouting "Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi!" but I don't actually know what specifically you're accusing Hillary of. I know that you guys feel that Hillary's treatment of Gennifer Flowers and Paula Jones and Juanita Broderick is horrible, but I don't know what you guys actually believe she did to those women. I know that you guys think the Clinton Foundation is crooked. I wrote my comments regarding the Clinton Foundation above, and you didn't comment on them... does that mean you can't actually find anything that you disagree with? You guys keep talking over and over about how self-evident it is that Hillary is a horrible person. And yet you're never willing to elaborate except in the most vague possible terms. It's always "why, her scandals are so well known that I can't be bothered to explain them!" There are a vast number of allegations against Hillary, and the vast majority of them are either total BS or grossly exaggerated or grossly misrepresentative of the facts. I've already posted my analysis of Hillary's scandals as I understand them. I invited you to add to the list if you feel there's any I missed. You responded with some vague handwaving about how "those emails are still out there!" and some angry grumbling about Bill's accusers. If Hillary's scandals are so well known, why is it that you can't actually articulate any of them? I don't even want links. I just want to hear in specific terms what you think Hillary supporters are missing. You keep complaining that people who don't agree with you about how awful Hillary is have been brainwashed by "the liberal media." Might I propose that perhaps you guys are the ones who've been brainwashed? You've become part of this media subculture where people repeat "Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi!" as if it were some self-evident truth that everybody understands, and now that you're outside your subculture being asked what "Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi!" actually means, you've come to the sudden realization that you can't actually explain it, because you don't actually know either. "Hillary was mean to Bill's accusers! Better vote for the disgusting chauvinist instead!" has to rank up there with "Hillary's charity seems shady! Better vote for the guy who uses his fake charity to bribe politicians and buy portraits of himself!" as the stupidest reasons to vote Trump that I've ever heard. -k
  9. I don't need links, I'll do my own research on the topics you suggest. I'm certainly aware that folks who spend their time in the right-wing media and blogosphere believe she's an awful person, but the claims range anywhere from "she and Bill use the Clinton Foundation to enrich themselves!" to "she left the heroes of Benghazi to die!" to "she is an NWO agent who will bring in one-world government!" to "she's an alien reptiloid who will herd humans into FEMA Death Camps for mass execution!" The claims made against her that I believe have substance are -the email server, obviously -she willfully mislead the public about the nature of the Benghazi attack -her role as Secretary of State while Bill solicited donations for the Clinton Foundation has the appearance of impropriety. That's it. While I believe that using a private email server to skirt FOIA requests is shady, I don't think it would even make a top 100 list of shady things her opponent has done. While I believe that misleading the public to believe that it was a protest against a Youtube video rather than a terrorist attack on a US facility is deceptive, I don't give any credit to the right-wing theory that "she left the heroes of Benghazi to die!" or that she was personally responsible for deciding whether the facility had adequate security. While I believe that having her husband traveling the globe looking for donations for their charity foundation while she was Secretary of State shows questionable judgment and invites accusations of impropriety, the Clinton Foundation is a real, actual charity that is highly rated in terms of efficiency of donations relative to overhead. This is in stark contrast to her opponent's fake charity that isn't registered, or audited, and is used to buy portraits of Trump, sports memorabilia, pay legal bills for Trump businesses, and issue bribes. Now, undoubtedly you're saying that I've totally missed huge Clinton scandals. Here's your chance! Let's hear it! Lay it out! -k
  10. People are so vocal about how they hate Hillary because of reasons, but nobody ever actually articulate those reasons. I'm just hoping for once to get some specifics. I'm also not sure whether many Trump supporters even know why they're mad about Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi, or know much about it at all other than it's something that they believe is Hillary's fault. -k
  11. I think what he is trying to point out is that women didn't used to wear veils in Iran, until dissatisfaction with the corrupt US-backed regime made conditions ripe for the revolution that led to the takeover of the country by religious fanatics. But I might be mistaken. -k
  12. Guccifer 2.0? That's "the baggage"? The hope that you might still get that October Surprise that so many disappointed 4chan viewers were up all night waiting for earlier this week? So it's the email server, Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi, and an October Surprise we haven't actually seen yet? Am I getting this right? Feel free to add to the list. -k
  13. Please proceed, Governor. -k
  14. Certainly many Canadian women wear it by choice. But it would also be naive to assume all wear it by choice. And you're free to make that choice. Lots of women aren't, which is why I support Nazi Paikidze's position. -k
  15. Sure, and probably lots don't want her to win because she's a woman as well. Rudy Giuliani is one of them! Given the same baggage? First off I don't think her baggage is all that bad, to be honest. For somebody who has been in politics for as long as she has, the "baggage" seems pretty light. A private email server and "Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi"? Second, how much baggage would it take to disqualify a man from running for President? Bridgegate didn't stop Chris Christie from throwing his hat in the ring. Trump may arguably have not had a lot of baggage at the start of the campaign, he's got a freight train full of baggage now. He'll be lucky if he's not doing time after they get finished investigating his fake charity and his fake college and other shady business dealings. (pro-tip: if you're running gigantic scams, don't draw the attention of the entire world to them by running for POTUS.) And yet, nearly half of the voting public still wants him to be President. Baggage doesn't seem to be a big obstacle. -k
  16. So in addition to my earlier response to your message, I want to add that the accusation that people only support Hillary because she's a woman is a pretty cheap shot. As I already mentioned, there's a long list of people both male and female, from both parties, who I'd rather see as POTUS than Donald Trump. It's not that Hillary's female and Trump's male, it's that Trump is a delusional megalomaniac losing his grasp on sanity right before our eyes. I don't go around accusing you guys of wanting Trump to win because you don't want a female President. -k
  17. I'm not sure if there's anything in the poster that reaches the level of incitement of hatred. Offensive, yes, but criminal? I'm not sure. Regardless, this is extremely stupid and counterproductive. It's basically a huge slap in the face for Muslims who've adopted more western attitudes. -k
  18. Well, as you keep saying, the primary voters chose Trump... who are you to tell them who "should" be heading the ticket? I mean, if they'd picked anybody even half-way normal, the Republicans would be walking away with this election. But, the primary voters did choose Trump, and the voters are always right. -k
  19. I was driving to work today listening to one of Kim City's rock radio stations, and they started playing "Pretty Woman" by Van Halen. I thought to myself that it's too bad they never play the "Intruder" intro that goes with it. So I changed to Kim City's other rock radio station, and what's playing at that exact moment? "Intruder!" 2spooky4me! -k
  20. No need to watch the Vice Presidential debate! The RNC accidentally posted their post-debate spin before the debate started. http://www.vox.com/2016/10/4/13168384/mike-pence-won-debate -k
  21. "Nazi" has to be one of the most unfortunate given names I've heard of. I'm not sure she's demanding it be moved, she's simply stating that she's not going to attend. I can see both arguments. On the one hand, Nazi feels mandatory hijab is demeaning to women, and I agree, and I think I would make the same choice in her situation. Which isn't a big concern. Because I suck at chess. On the other hand, some people make the argument that women boycotting the tournament primarily hurts Iranian women. Iran apparently has some highly-ranked female chess players who feel that having the tournament in Iran would let them show Iran that women can do things beyond cooking and cleaning. They feel that the tournament would be good for the status of women in Iran, and feel that women who are boycotting the tournament are punishing them for something that isn't even their fault. I can see that side of it as well. But I think if I were in that situation, I would make the same choice as Nazi Paikidze. -k
  22. Ok, so do you feel it's reasonable for him to blast low-income Americans who don't pay income tax when he's a high-income American who doesn't pay income tax? Shouldn't he be praising them for being smart? -k
  23. Her job, as the attacker's defense attorney at the time, over 40 years ago, may have had something to do with that. What was she supposed to do about Boko Haram, again? As opposed to the guy who does business with Iranian banks linked to terrorism, the guy who praised Sharia because it's so easy for a man to get a divorce, has a golf course in Dubai, sold the Saudis a floor of Trump Tower, hung out with Moamar Gadhaffi, and in 2014 established businesses relating to a big hotel project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia-- he appears to have terminated them in November 2015, presumably because they'd be inconvenient for a guy campaigning to be president. https://www.company-detail.com/company-thc-jeddah-hotel-advisor-llc-4808812 https://www.company-detail.com/company-dt-jeddah-technical-services-advisor-llc-4808806 https://www.company-detail.com/company-thc-jeddah-hotel-advisor-member-corp-4808799 (three guesses what "DT" and "THC" stand for.) (more:) So clearly he shouldn't be throwing stones. Yeah, we know how Hillary treated Bill's accusers. We also know how Trump treated his ex-wives. Clearly neither of them are angels. You think it's just ridiculing Alicia Machado or some stunt on the Howard Stern Show? The dude has a 30+ year history proving his chauvinism is unparalleled. "Hillary's not a feminist! Real feminists would vote for the guy who's been treating women like Kleenex for decades!" I'll file that next to the other hilariously ironic reasons you guys think people should vote for Trump. -k
  24. His statement is that people who were "strong" could "handle it", So it's pretty clear how he feels about people who "can't handle it". Kind of like the time he said a strong woman like Ivanka wouldn't be a victim of sexual harassment. -k
  25. And this tremendous belief in individual rights is why so many conservatives continue to support criminalization of sodomy and pornography? This reminds me of the Focus On The Family, American Family Association type rhetoric that "they don't care about gay rights, they're just using it as a way to attack the church!" I'd suggest that first off the idea that the real motive is actually just to persecute people like you might be sign of a psychological complex of some sort, and secondly that usually attacking the motive of the messenger is usually a retreat for people who can't argue with the message itself. -k
