  1. Well I think the correct way of expressing it is by hearing how "everybody else" was a lot worse. And in some cases they are correct. However, lacking the insight to be able to model correct behaviour on what was established as incorrect in the past, they have somehow concluded that a little murder is not as bad as a conviction for murder.
  2. Whoopee! Alberta is attracting new immigrants! At half the rate of BC. Big deal. A two trick pony province with as many people as Markham on a Sunday. Good for you Alberta, we are all so proud. You attract new immigrants. More people to pump more our oil and tend to them thar cattle. Just how we like it.
  3. Come on, where are all the anti-CBC people? They have been awfully quiet since the cadre of the Fearless Leader has come out firmly on the side of the CBC. I think you anti-CBCers should be ranting and raving against Harper by now. You elected his majority, shouldn't they be listening to you? Where's the accountability now? What's up? Here's what's up: CBC to get money it needs to get to 2015: Moore
  4. Auto manufacturing? LOFL! It isn't just autos, it is everything else too. A diversified economic portfolio if you will and it keeps people flocking here daily, to the land of opportunity. Now, on your way out to pump our oil, fetch us some steaks too.
  5. But you can go get the beef, so why don't you. Make some money to earn your keep around here. For once.
  6. Harper and oil. Jean Chretien wasn't interested in oil in 1996, he had other things on his mind. Canada Trades 'Do-Gooder' Image for Weapons Sales Yeah, yeah, I know the irony of making an earlier comment about the knee-jerk con reaction to criticism with instant references to Liberals, but this is too much. This is horrifying, especially the part about weapons sales to Indonesia as they were heading out to wipe out the East Timorese. Hey, it was only 15 years ago, we haven't forgotten have we?
  7. And perhaps it is not even defensive, but the simple ability to want to check. Even a decent forecheck is useful to offensive minded players. Does OV prefer to simply float?
  8. More right wing social engineering.
  9. Yes, they do seem to so that a lot don't they. Almost like an automatic response. Must be the indoctrination programs they go through.
  10. Boo hoo. Now get back to the range and fix us some of them steaks.
  11. Using public office to stifle the reporting of issues important to the public is a freedom of press-like issue, which impacts freedom of speech. Can you imagine if if every politician started doing this because some press reported something they didn't happen to like? Not true. I thought his appearance on This Hour Has 22 Minutes was simply outstanding. Worthy of a Gemini at the very least. On what grounds could the Inegrity Commissioner possibly force them to give press releases? No, the snit it 100% all his. Not very mature.
  12. Doing a little research, they say, "from textured surfaces and edges to vibrations and more." No doubt there will be run on lotion to supplement the moist/wet. But first gen Bonam, one can only imagine what the 3rd gen will do.
  13. Well apparently Ford didn't read the article either and when his bluff was called he folded up his tent faster than an OCAD student at the St. James Occupy. However, he dropped his blustery lawsuit and the Star is, by far, the largest newspaper in the City. For the Mayor's Office to shut them out is not only doing more damage to his reputation, squatting on freedom of speech, but he is doing a disservice to Star readers.
  14. Come on jacee, everyone knows it's equalization payments in a form that will get the CPC re-lected in AB. Gotta be sensitive to that touchy Albertan pride or the oil production will fall while they keep reaching for the kleenex.
  15. Ontario is the home to 1/3 of immigrants every year. Between Ontario and Quebec, more than half. They keep flocking to Ontario, land of opportunity. Heck, almost double the people would rather go to BC or QC than AB. They can see what you cannot. Sigh, all we have is the popular Camaro and Impala along with the Regal. But my spidey sense is tingling with some news about a new hybrid. No need to put sand in our tanks. Now how be you go out back to that cow pasture and rustle us up some steaks. You'll have to pay for your Timmies somehow.
  16. A tactile sensation touch screen! Sure, the texture of rocks and silk is what the inventors were thinking about. The porn industry goes through the roof with joy. Senseg - as smooth as silk
  17. If it were only like tweens and drama queens I wouldn't much care. But it is only another example of how deep cyncicism runs within that party. The Libs were vain. The CPC is the Big Blue Vein party.
  18. Really? By publishing news stories about him in their news paper? Why, how dare they!
  19. That didn't take long. Out with the Old Leaf and in with the new Old Leaf: Anaheim Ducks fire Carlyle, hire Bruce Boudreau
  20. I agree, but there is always a nice comfy purgatory in NY somewhere. I like OV, he can bring it when he wants. But he has to want to. When he doesn't bad things happen. I would rather see OV give up a dozen goals get the physical side of his game going which at least one expert believed was essential.
  21. Why we plan to fight Ford’s Star boycott It is good to see the Star stand up to the bully and now take the fight to him. This whole freeze out has been completely mismanaged by the Ford cadre when they could have used it to their advantage. But when you have the Mayor's office unilaterally deciding that the city's largest newspaper should be left out of press releases and such, I believe that freedom of the press is compromised. And what is the hissy fit all about? So Ford filed for libel, the Star called his bluff - again - and now he is being a big baby about the whole thing.
  22. If bully's weren't so tough when you fought back, word about that would have gotten out a long time and ago and we wouldn't have this problem.
  23. No, what is actually magical now is that the voters of Ontario decide Albertans fate every single time. With more and more people flocking here to make their dreams come true. They go where the money and success is. Although the good news is that Alberta is leading the country in developing the new self-service Tim Hortons.
