  1. Aye, and there's the rub innit? (not to be confused with politicians being caught in "massage parlors")
  2. Jaffer went to court, had his day and the DUI and coke charges were dropped because the judge gave him a break. But he was convicted for careless driving. The point being is that the whole Jaffer Affair was way more than this (ues, including the whole Guergis thing) and the CPC had no problem overcoming it. Where is Jaffer politically these days anyway?
  3. It would be interesting, but it would never happen. That Packer LB crew will be on a tear and put a hurtin on that old man. McNabb would at least keep the Bears within 3 TDs.
  4. I thought Cutler was done in Denver too and he was revitalized as a Bear. Soldier Field can be transformative. That and McNabb is a Chicago boy. If McNabb is healthy, on a good day he is a better QB than Hanie IMO. Too much too soon I think and still rather young and green. When you have the Tribune wrecking the guy the next day, that green will spill over. Yikes!
  5. Looks like some other people have "pigeon-holed" their opinion too. That is, judging from the story you supplied.
  6. Yes, it's called 'circulation' and they know about it too since they have the highest circulation in Canada.
  7. I searched Google and couldn't find anything, so I'll ask you once more to back up your claims with a citation please. Thanks!
  8. Why would you think it is hard for me to imagine? My brother is in the same boat, albeit his business is very successful. Because you pay taxes for all the other benefits you are entitled to.
  9. Well, to be fair, the CPC got a majority after the while Jaffer fiasco. So no, I don't think it will hurt them.
  10. Nah, 10-6; even with Hanie they can beat the Broncos, Seahawks and Vikings and stay within 4 TD's of the Packers. Who knows... maybe a little McNabb action coming Chicago's way? (I'd take him) Or maybe even... {gulp} Favre?
  11. Well with a QB this green one would hope the OC is managing the game and the receivers are playing heads up. Still, he has decent numbers, I was surprised. And the stats show that he is improving every game. Abyssmal, that's pretty bad right?
  12. Is there a plan for them to take control?
  13. So the Indians, wishing to make a claim for specific pieces of land, are holding up the process because if they take their land back, there is some mysterious "extinguishment clause" preventing them somehow. Let us see this land claim delaying clause. I call for a cite. Meh. Maybe they prefer pristine mountains and valleys, lakes and coastlines and stuff. Can hardly blame them. Maybe they are holding out for tourism. I agree and I can't really understand what the hubbub is all about. Run the pipelines next to the roads, great idea. Except for cars running into them. You're probably right. Other that gold, copper, nickel, diamonds, gas, oil, lumber, forests, lakes mountains, valleys, etc., the land is pretty useless. Are you kidding me? With all the mismanagement, paternalism and especially the serious social issues, how could they understand anything?
  14. Without iron, there would have been no industrial age. Pay homage to the Hittites. Here is a picture of them.
  15. So if you lose your job you won't be applying for EI right? And when you turn 65 you will turn back your CPP?
  16. And a good CEO is only good until he isn't. Despite any compensation package I mean.
  17. Except they report the news, including stories about the Occupiers rage, so the Occupiers rage less against them.
  18. Since you didn't actually comprehend the actual story. Seriously dude, don't blame the Star if you can't read.
  19. Go for it. But if the choice is between shitty and unreliable and shittier and unreliable, well, hardly a choice innit?
  20. No shit Sherlock., Which proves that no matter what you pay them, it is still a crap shoot. Any company can say this, even small start-ups with CEO's making nothing. Which shows that no matter what you pay them, it is still a crap shoot. Considering no matter what you pay them, it's a crap shoot, any compensation is justified. Not only are there enough CEO's there are many more potential CEO's waiting in the wings and, give that they know it is likely a crapshoot for the boss, all they have to do is be patient. "occupiers" that's hilarious!
  21. "pretty near cleaned up." Well there was this one. Oh and this one too. Let's not forget this one. Or this one. Or this one. And of course, then there was this one. And that was just from 2011. Do you want to know about 2010 and previous too? Forget it, you can do your own Google search. But before you do, here is a map of the US and the Two Decades of Spills from 1990 to 2011. I wonder how many of these are "pretty near cleaned up."
