But still, if you don't run or even attempt to establish a run (BC didn't either) every two and out is going to be second guessed. I am old school I suppose. Jim Germany, where art thou?

The 7 Contradictions of the Occupy Movement

And at the same time, they're not. -
Two of the first three governments were minorities, which only compounded the problem of appearances. He had to appear centrist just to stay in government. That is what they were doing "right." As far as the almost-destruction of the LPC, well that has resulted in more of a partisan type political atmosphere than I can ever remember, even during the massive Mulroney governments. Which is to say that despite PM Harpers wildest wet dreams, the centre is vacant right now.

I really don't get the lack of attempts at running, especially with Garrett reeling off an average of 6 yards per carry during the season. He wasn't even allowed to touch the ball much. 8 carries? I think the Bombers decided right from the get-go that their O line didn't have the chops for any sort of ground game. But still, for Pierce to have 37 passing attempts, some sort of protection was there. I figured they would run in the second half and nope!

Really Boges? Suggesting that a public figure, an MP no less, is a frog? Isn't that against forum rules? Michael??!

Shrill thrill from the shill? (say that 10 times really fast)

But by God, let me tell ya, and I'm not kidding: if they do that, the homeless had better not be wearing red warrior princess costumes or there will be mayhem. Mayhem I tells ya! Mayhem!

$1.4b per year in Cdn. taxpayer subsidies to Alberta oil sands

And in a great twist of irony, guess which political type is the first to scream 'nanny state.' -
For the Federal Liberals? There is already a megathread about that. But I'll say it now, the only person that can competently lead the LPC is Dominic Leblanc. End of story.

They campaigned on being the centre party, but govern from the right. (the Canadian right) Harper charts Canada's shift to the right - from 2008 They know appearances are everything in Canada so they are tightly controlled by their party cadre. The interesting thing is to see how long they can make that control last and keep up appearances.

Just because you wave the magic fairy wand doesn't mean things are "gone." I'll believe that when he comes right out and says he's an athiest. Yes, really, the level of rhetoric in the opposition frequently uses the phrase "throw everybody in jail." Nice straw man attempt. LOFL! Now you are starting to sound like Mr. Canada! Yes, because all the stories are "phoney" when they pertain to the Great and Ennobling Leader. We have your amazing predictions on record now... Keep up the good work, Harper shills.

Yeah, I had them in mind when I was reading Dre's comment...

Eh, you almost called it. But I think had Willis held on to that ball for a pick, the game would have changed. Good to see BC win at home though. Good crowd for that!

Sounds almost... liberal.

Do you celebrate anything? And, if so, why?

Watchdog calls out Cons lack of transparency
Shwa replied to olp1fan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You do know what a 'record' is don't you? Let me guess, you think that a record is every single scrap of information or data that the government has ever touched. Yes they are. Who said they aren't? Trade secrets of private companies? Evaluations of computing hardware and infrastructure? A discussion of the evaluation of product testing? Management strategies? I am sensing you do not appreciate the scope of the sort of information that public servants might discuss on internal forums and message boards. Governance is an especially sensitive issue that could cause quite a bit of misinformation and political embarassment if some of the discussion is misconstrued by people who don't know any better. Public access to internal government governance forums would dry the conversations right up. If you mean I prefer to remain in a coherent reality, you are perfectly correct. Unless you have some sort of viable solution, other than cherry picking because of some esoteric usufruct based on one's mere membership in 'the public,' the status quo is all there can ever be. -
Obviously there was some change agent involved that allowed you to become aware of the situation, which was a good thing wouldn't you agree?
-
I disagree. The only basics to human nature appear to the 4-F's. The rest is culture.
-
But the problem with this example is that you were caught unaware, that is, you did not know you were being screwed at the time you were being screwed. That is problematic innit? So... if you are unaware of something, how can you know about it enough to be responsible? Obviously there was some change agent involved that allowed you to become aware of the situation, which was a good thing wouldn't you agree?

- because the information contained are not "records" - because they might compromise some business transactions, adversely affect market competition - because they might result in unintended misinformaton being released to the public - because the information might be misinterpreted - because it might break a law, embarass a government or political official - because it might compromise internal security or put lives at risk Etc. -
Oh, wait. Now it is a lack of proper money management skills that tens, if not hundreds, of millions of people are burdened with. So then if you know someone lacks a skill or awareness, what would you be if you took advantage of that?
