Brexit demonstrates why the elites don't like to hold referendums. Because sometimes those ordinary people refuse to vote the way the elites like. This explains why Trudeau doesn't want one on election reform.

It was probably wrong to leave, but Argus is right. Not everyone wants to be brow beaten into being the good progressive on every issue, all of the time. Some need to learn that lesson, but they wont.

They definitely won't. Progressives will only try to brow beat harder and silence dissent more.
