It's likely Harper will take the republican route, massive spending raises coupled with massive tax cuts for the rich. I'd bet the federal debt figure will sit around 800 billion to 1 trillion five years from now.

If a Conservative government is in power I have no doubt that would be the case. If a sane government were in power we'd be picking up much more cost efficient fighters now, or 10 years from now.

They exist to protect workers from the radical ideologies of political parties I've yet to see any evidence we overpay for the public service. Care to point to another country that provides comparable services to Canada at a far lower rate? (Since we're being extorted I'm expecting to see a massive difference) I'd say you pay that much because your government signed a contract agreeing to pay that much. You Conservative types don't seem to understand how simple processes like these work...

It's a good policy for Con supporters, usually their views aren't supported by evidence. It's bad for the rest of us Canadians who like fact to dictate policy.

If anything strong Con poll numbers would encourage ABC voters to get out the vote. Instead their poll number were weak...

Mostly what the Cons are against. Should give voters a good choice should that present themselves as the above.

His argument seems to be that small business doesn't create jobs, which is a laughable point of view. Unfortunately that idea is all to common amongst conservatives, hence the Cons continuously ignore small business. At the very least small businesses provide jobs for the owners, and usually those jobs are better than whatever private sector work they'd be payed poorly to do.
