  1. Layton could drop 5 points and still have a good day. I think you mean to say Layton will have a great day.
  2. The guy is a spineless weasel. A quick glance at how he handled the Caledonia situation ill tell you how much integrity he has.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Fantino is behind it. The man embodies everything that is wrong with the Conservative party.
  4. He'd have to try very hard indeed to outspend Harper. Meh, I guess its up to you, choose someone who is a fiscal joke and staunchly anti-individual or choose someone who is a fiscal joke and staunchly pro-individual. I can't see the NDP doing anymore damage than Harper has done seeing as they can win a minority in the best case scenario.
  5. Spying on citizens is one of the characteristics of a police state...
  6. As an NDP supported I'd like to thank all the Cons here for focusing all their effort on this laughable smear campaign that even some staunch conservatives think is pathetic.
  7. I'm confused, the Cons have shown time after time that they will post record deficits. Harper has done it before, he put us into debt before the recession even hit, and he will continue to put us into debt until he is out of office. Any claim that the Conservatives are anything other than socially conservative is moronic.
  8. Not really shocking to anyone who has been watching the Cons. Their enemy number 1 is data, hence their effective canceling of the census. Also I surprised that only one of the cool-aid drinkin' cons have weighed in on this issue. They must be afraid to speak up against their mighty leaders wish for Canada to become a police state.
  9. All we can do now is hope that the poll numbers hold and the Cons are denied a majority, and Canada doesn't have to endure 4 years of darkness.
  10. Also herre a Macleans article on this issue http://www2.macleans.ca/2011/04/13/harpers-promise-a-warrantless-online-surveillance-state/ Why is the booster club so silent on this issue?
  11. While I don't think this will win layton any votes, I do think it will seriously negate the effect of any real criticism. Rather than an issue that will stick with most Canadians (ie: fiscal restraint) they've (and by they I mean the conservatives) decided to go full bore with a 16 year old non-incident.
  12. Man the Cons will do anything at this point.
  13. The dregs of the right always spout that as a fact, yet they fail to come up with supporting evidence.
  14. Remind me again why the Cons whine about the liberal media?
  15. I can't see Harper just stepping away from power, he seems like a man obsessed with the spotlight.
  16. Rates will go up sooner or later. Probably sooner rather than later.
  17. Personally I never found Mulroney to be all the charismatic.
  18. Outside of the orange crush drinking NDPers I don't think anyone is seriously thinking the NDP is going to form government.
  19. Your friend bought into a market that everyone knows is a bubble and will likely be burned for it. If you risk your money you risk losing your money.
  20. a quick search of the database of ACS journals brought up everything I needed to answer the question. (and TBH I don't even consider that 'looking for information' its more like a google search) Tell me RNG, where did you get this graduate degree of yours?
  21. I also seriously doubt that the Hardcore liberal (the 23% that are left) will be voting conservative. The shear fact that they've supported the dolt that is iggy shows how much they dislike Harper.
  22. If you actually had a graduate degree that specialized in any field of spectroscopy you'd have found the answer to that question several minutes after you thought it up.
  23. Any regional breakdowns of the undecided? It could be that they are clustered somewhere the NDP/Cons/Libs have strong support, indicating trouble for that party.
