That's kind of a stretch. The death rate from abortion would be 100% while the death rate from covid is very low for most of the population and somewhat higher for those with pre-existing conditions. Obese people, smokers face greater risk than most. Should governments now force them to go to the gym and make smoking completely illegal? I personally would like to see as many people as possible get vaccinated but not forced by government to do so. IHU: New Covid variant with 46 mutations worries experts in France (yahoo.com) Wow imagine that! Another variant coming ??

Should Sotomayor Be On The SCOTUS At All?
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It's possible she's pretty well versed in law as she of course should be, but in her position she should be well versed in actual facts about other things as well. Maybe her sources of information are CNN, MSNBC, The View etc. I'm betting the so-called fact checkers must be very uncomfortable right now. They likely will bend over backwards for her. -
I'm for vaccines but my confidence is waning with regards to the efficacy of these vaccines. Omicron isn't deadly to the vast majority of people either. CTV quietly deletes headline saying vaccinated outnumber unvaxxed in hospitals | The Post Millennial If someone is rushed to the hospital with a knife in the chest and happens to have covid does that count as a covid hospitalization? Covid covid covid 24/7! The media are going all out to keep the hype going.

I would guess that the Antifa/BLM riots have some measure of organization through social media like Facebook and Twitter, likely with their full support as well. Facebook and Twitter are also likely very helpful in coordinating the smash and grab robberies that are rising in Democratic run cities. Your sports analogy is misleading too. Some idiot sports fans do riot when their teams win or lose but it's not exclusively whites. I support the right to peaceful protesting but not riots.

January 6, 2021 and The Big Lie
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
8 Times Left-Wing Protesters Assaulted Government Buildings (thefederalist.com) Of course the events listed in the above link were covered much differently by the MSM but that's no surprise. Just how awful and openly biased is the MSM? The number 7 incident listed is interesting, a bombing by two radicals...who eventually had their sentences commuted by Bill Clinton. -
If the Democrats are not divisive, what have they done to unite the country? Identity politics is most certainly not a unifying initiative, pitting everyone against white people. Americans are demonstrably worse off now under Biden than they were under Trump. America Better Off Under Biden or Trump? | Canada Free Press Voters Know Biden Is Only Making Inflation Worse (townhall.com) What is Joe Biden's biggest success to date? Does anyone believe he has more successes than failures?

"If anyone it wasn't not a president of the united states." I don't really understand how you phrased that answer. I wanted to know who's rhetoric fueled the numerous Antifa/BLM riots. Can you name names? Al Sharpton? I agree that near constant rioting from so many on the left does not in any way entitle anyone on the right to riot.

January 6, 2021 and The Big Lie

Are you suggesting there is not even one single case of voting irregularity in the 2020 election? Every single solitary vote was totally legit? -
January 6, 2021 and The Big Lie
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
So anyone that thinks the 2020 election was stolen is corrupt, partisan and morally debased to give credible opinions on the subject of voting and so on. Does that same standard also apply to the people that think the 2016 election was stolen? How about all the other elections that Democrats claim were stolen? I have yet to hear one single credible explanation why Democrats can always complain about elections they lose and challenge the results but Republicans do not have this same right. Why is that? -
January 6, 2021 and The Big Lie
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
More people voting and more people voting legally are not exactly the same thing. Voting without positive ID is idiotic for one thing. The Georgia senate bill 202 : The Election Integrity Act of 2021, originally known as Georgia Senate Bill 202,[ is a Georgia law overhauling elections in the state. It mandates voter identification requirements on absentee ballots, limits the use of ballot drop boxes, expands early in-person voting, bars officials from sending out unsolicited absentee ballot request forms, reduces the amount of time people have to request an absentee ballot, increases voting stations or staff and equipment where there have been long lines, makes it a crime for outside groups to give free food or water to voters waiting in line, gives the Georgia General Assembly greater control over election administration, and shortens runoff elections, among other provisions. Can you point to anything here that amounts to voter suppression ? What is there in this bill that is unreasonable? -
January 6, 2021 and The Big Lie
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It's a pity that this big lie is going to be used for a very long time by the Democrats against the Republicans. The real threat is the Democrats plan to continually weaken the integrity of the voting system. Voter ID not required, signature verification not needed, more mail-in ballots. What could possibly go wrong? -
Where's the evidence that Trump is without question behind the few hundred rioters actions on Jan 6? Should we also blame Bernie Sanders for the shooting by his supporter who shot and wounded four people at a baseball game? I've said it before and I'll say it again. I will not defend the Jan 6 rioters for their actions, but their numbers absolutely pale in comparison to Antifa/BLM and the billions in property damage they caused over a period of years. The FBI leadership certainly are much more favourable to the Democrats than the Republicans and if they could find a single shred of evidence to show Trump orchestrated the riot they would pursue charges to the ends of the earth against him.

The Battle of Moscow---A Soviet Tale of the History of WWII

I can't wait for the day when I have fast unlimited internet at home lol. I live in the boonies so at this time I can't watch these videos other than bit by bit at work on my breaks. -
jbander is a perfect example of how progressives typically engage in discourse. They typically don't. He's willing to shout and hurl insults but not at all willing to listen. Zero tolerance from the so-called tolerant progressives. Small wonder there is so much violence coming from the left.

The Jan 6 riot has been so overblown by the MSM and unfortunately they will continue to do so. It WAS NOT and organized insurrection. The FBI is pretty biased and has been weaponized but even they come to the same conclusion. FBI confirms there was no insurrection on Jan. 6 | Washington Examiner Exclusive: FBI finds scant evidence U.S. Capitol attack was coordinated - sources | Reuters

America Under pResident Biden
ironstone replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Meet Joe Biden's new judicial appointee. Yes, middle of the road Joe Biden, the guy that beat the socialist Bernie Sanders. Biden nominee said proof of citizenship is 'voter suppression,' compared ban on felons voting to slavery | The Post Millennial Biden did actually beat Sanders, so why does he keep appointing radical leftists like this? Because he's a puppet and clearly not in control. Are Americans truly better off now than they were under Trump? If so, how? -
Her assertions that sexual frustrations are motivating her critics is way out there. She is a celebrity that holds political office so she is fair game. This article is a pretty accurate assessment of her record and accomplishments to date. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: The dumbest Democrat and the most underperforming Congresswoman (tfiglobalnews.com) She is great at attracting attention and little else.

AOC is duly elected to office and has every right to voice her ideas, even if they are foolish/unrealistic/idiotic etc. She also has the right to unrestricted free speech(especially since she is on the political left) not subject to the same constraints as those on the right. The Seven Craziest Things Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Has Said So Far (townhall.com)

She does not come across as the cold hearted , greedy evil genius type as does someone like Nancy Pelosi. Cortez reminds me of a foolish teenager that actually knows very little but believes herself to be an expert in everything. She is a media darling of the leftist media and has rarely been asked non-softball questions. I wonder if she will have presidential aspirations in the future? God help us! In fairness to her she likely would have had that mask on had she known there was a camera around. Higher risk of covid when cameras are nearby?? Moment AOC puts her mask on for group photo op only to whip it off a minute later | Daily Mail Online
