  1. I'm sure that everyone learns things to make them more effective. As for the personal attacks, it was Chretien and Martin that started this years ago with all that 'hidden agenda" and "guns in the streets" crap. Even though we now know that was a bald faced lie. Funny how everyone swallowed that load of crap and didn't think it was unjust but now that the shoe is on the other foot...well.... Going back even further when they all but tarred and feather Stockwell Day. But that's ok right? It's ok to bash a Conservative but don't you dare attack our little darling Liberals as they're all angels, seems to be the mantra.
  2. That may have been true in 2000 but not anymore as all the Red Tories have come back to the Conservatives now, which is obvious from the amount of seats they have won in the most recent election. The Canadian people overwhelmingly support the PM and want to give him a majority. Everywhere except Quebec, for now. Quebec is the only province holding the CPC from majority. The CPC has even won over the majority of votes in Ontario. Just a matter of time before the CPC gets its majority.
  3. The conservatives are anything but poor they are flush with cash. CPC members actually donate to their party whereas the LPC members do not. The overall average is $200 per person and something like $5 for the LPC. The CPC is a party for the average Canadian, this proves it.
  4. The last time Mr. Chretien won he had 40.85% as did Mr. Martin with 36.7% of voter support. Be sure to include that as well. This is the same for every election. Why not say that as well. Ah yes, you must bend the facts to fit your story. Our PM Stephan Harper won seats right across this country in every region. With a majority in BC, Alta, Sask, Man, Nunavut, NB and even Ontario where Mr. Harper won 51 seats to the Liberals paltry 38 seats. Here is a map for you to look at. As you can see Mr. Harper has the support of every region except Quebec. They truly are a national party whereas the Liberals seem to be confined to Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal and London. They were virtually shut out every where else. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Canada_...al_Election.svg
  5. First @jdobbin, you always have interesting points to make. I may not always agree but at least they are clear, haha. Second. WA. What is this rant? Our PM Stephan Harper has consistantly polled the highest out of the three leaders since the last election so I don't understand your deflection. I doubt any even the most partisan member of this bb would deny what I've said. The Liberals have been buying the ethnic vote for decades so I don't see your point. Well, I'm sure glad you're not partisan as you've claimed many people here are. Thank goodness for that. Also, if you plan on starting a political party you may want to brush up on your English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation. A degree and career could help as well.
  6. Oh my God. Again with this jdobbin? Hahaha. And you think that our PM will call one before May to take advantage of Mr. Dion or the new leader? You think that the Canadian people will like the Conservatives for doing that and this will cause them to gain seats? You must really think that the PM is not paying attention to the people. If he did this he would draw the ire of the public and lose seats yet you insist he will do it...I don't get it.
  7. I'm not sure if his is the right place but it seemed to it the best even if it doesn't match up exactly. Can someone provide me with some links to well written Blogs? I don't care what their political stripe. I would just like to read some well structured writings. Thank you.
  8. He is smart, witty and in control. he doesn't let his personal views come across too much. Runs a great program in Ontario called - The Agenda. Anyone watch it?
  9. No one here dislikes any one leader personally or shouldn't anyways just their policies and decisions. I'm sure Dion is a patriotic Canadian and a great guy as a person. I just attack his decision making and policy mandates he has suggested. I voted Liberal in 1993 but not since but I would again if the time was right for it and they had a good leader and good organization which has been lacking of late. Yeah, right after an election a lot fo boards are heavily partisan atm. I'm sure it'll calm down.
  10. I don't think Mr. Rae will lead the Liberals to Victory. IMO the best person to lead the Liberal party would be John Manly. I would even consider voting Liberal if he were leading it and able to turn it around. I like Manly a lot and believe he is a man of integrity , common sense, well spoken, a prudent and skilled orator. If the Liberals are smart they'll steer clear of Mr. Rae. I've been wrong before...once.
  11. I am being cheeky on purpose. I'm trying to goad them into some foolish outburst. This is my entertainment. I am not technically trolling as I am stating facts. At the same time, I'm not going to allow all the left wingers here slag our PM without any defense. Most of the things being said are falsehoods or don't tell the other side of the story which I am here to provide. If I wasn't posting these forums would be a big Liberal petting party as I see it. I'm sure it must be getting annoying though...haha.
  12. Anyone from anywhere. If they are unskilled we don't need them IMO. We have many many homeless people in our urban whom are unemployed and need jobs so they can stop being homeless and start giving back to their country. We have so many immigrants that they must be out numbering Canadians so badly that they are losing their homes and becoming homeless as the urban centres show us.
  13. Yep, the Liberals should know this lesson well as they stole 2 Billion dollars($2,000,000,000) from the Canadian taxpayers and we said good bye to them. Plus countless RCMP investigations. The Liberals were far too arrogant and thought they were entitled to their entitlements which included 2 Billion of taxpayer money. Then they got annihilated not once but TWICE! The Liberals have still not learned this lesson and suffer to this day from their own arrogance and sense of entitlement. Mr. Dion still doesn't know this.
  14. That is utterly false. He has done and passed many things that people didn't like already, yet he has gained seats. Losing argument, sorry. Mr. Harper puts money into the pockets of everyday families as they can run their own pocketbooks. The Liberals and NDP don't trust families to run their own pocketbooks. Plain and simple guys/girls.
  15. From the first page. Add is a problem in todays "have it your way" society, I understand that. So, I'll repost it. If we are headed for economic turmoil as the opposition parties are claiming, isn't it time to slow down immigration. After all if Canadians are out of work what sense does it make to keep taking in new Canadians? Shouldn't we be finding hard working Canadians jobs after the collapse of the manufacturing sector? It seems strange to me that immigration is to remain high when all opposition parties are claiming we are heading to a recession. If we go into a recession wouldn't the new Canadians needlessly further strain our social assistance system? Obviously I am not speaking of those who come here bringing money to start businesses etc. I am speaking of the ones who go directly onto the public dole and remain there. The LPC and the NDP claim that we have lost 400,000 manufacturing jobs since the CPC came to power. Is it prudent to allow over 400,000 immigrants into the country in the same time span if we are on the verge of recession? Seems irresponsible to me.
  16. Please try not to troll and make your posts make some sort of point please. I understand politics brings out the worst in people at times but we try to be civil here at Maple leaf Web.
  17. Stop making this and every post about the RH Stephan Harper and more on topic. Mr. Dion. Perhaps he has done so many things wrong that no one wants to talk about that. I'm not surprised I'd be upset too if I had a lame duck leader facing a great leader.
  18. Responding to your own posts now? Mr. Harper is our PM. People really need to stop being negative and start being positive and pull together and make things better. Leave the negative stuff guys. More positive thought is need for the betterment of our country.
  19. Most of the 905 said YES as did the rest of the province. Only Fortress Toronto said no. The majority of Ontario voted in favor of a massive Torie majority at 51% support the Tories are Canada s new Governing Party as the Liberals are plagued by ADscams, RCMP investigations and they are bankrupt. Next election we will win seats in Toronto. I'll let you know who's campaign I'll be working on next time.
  20. Why you fighting with me then smallc? Well there are really just 2 now as our PM Stephan Harper is the defacto leader of the Liberal party now by default as the lame duck continues to quack.
  21. He is our PM. Even yours Guyser. He is all of Canada s PM. We need to come together to embrace our leader and make our country stronger.
  22. Foreigners. We don't need the poor from any country, enough Canadians are poor. We're full, should read the sign. EDIT Hrm, maybe I should say that we need to limit the immigration and be more selective in this trying time. Not forever, just for now. Until we get jobs for the homeless people in our urban areas and better jobs for our working poor.
  23. I love it and think it's hilarious. If this was really Canadas Natural governing party you'd figure they could raise a couple bucks. I guess the Tories are the new Natural Governing Party of Canada. This was legislation brought about by the Liberals. We have made it! Put PM Harper the 20 dollar bill! EDIT- Now we have to hit them while their down and crush them completely. We didn't come this far to let them back in the game.
  24. Our PM got support for a massive majority from every province except Quebec. The Tories even beat the Liberals in Ontario getting 51% of the vote. The Tories are Canada s new truly National Party.
