Tories brace for deficit, plan to share blame
Mr.Canada replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The thing I hate about the CBC is that they produce shows that illustrate how we're supposed to live and what we're supposed to do according to them. Which is very arrogant indeed. So if they plan to show more shows like that forget it would be my vote. We don't need more socialist, hippy, everyone's the same, commie, love everybody programming. We have enough. Sports is the only respite we have from a 24/7 barrage on that network. -
Tories brace for deficit, plan to share blame
Mr.Canada replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I know that smallc but they are both funded by the taxpayer and both are CBC. If it was a private media outlet they would share the camera crew why can't the CBC do the same? 2 reporters, 1 English, 1 French but surely they can share the camera, lights and sound guys. They are wasting our money, it's yours as well smallc. -
People who say that "got your tin foil hat ready" just say that because they cannot prove the point wrong and move to discredit the person.

Tories brace for deficit, plan to share blame
Mr.Canada replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The CBC wastes a lot of money. For example when French and English reporting teams go to an event together they bring two entirely separate crews when they could share the tape and dub it each respective language. Why can't they share the tape and camera crew when covering the same event? That is one example of the waste. -
Obama a marxist, a racist and an anti-semite?
Mr.Canada replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I find it humorous that everyone is afraid to discuss the video. -
This is your own fault. Your life is your problem. You could have went to school post secondary and made something of yourself but you chose the life of welfare. That is no ones fault but your own. No one owes you anything. People who want more money go and work for it, they don't make excuses for their life. You're poor by choice. No one to blame but yourself for how your life turned out. Again no one owes you anything.

negative productivity growth under HARPER
Mr.Canada replied to independent's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Bill Graham hasn't been leader since 2006 for starters and you are really asking about Mr. Harper lining his pockets? That is just silly. Go read about the Liberal Party and all the scams they have orchestrated. They have stolen $1.5 Billion dollars from the Canadian taxpayers. So before you start on the Conservatives, as it's every lefties favorite pastime, you may want to bash the Liberals first. Also how has your quality of life been reduced since the Tories came to power? EDIT- Don't believe things just because the TV told you. I'll agree the things Jack Layton wants to do sounds great, at first. Until you do some research and find out how he plans to pay for all of these things. I'm just trying to help you out. -
Not everyone wants to live in a big city. I hate the city. It's dirty, has high crime, begging scum are everywhere, too many people who are rude, etc. I go to Toronto maybe a few times a year now and when I do I park at Yorkdale and take the subway as it's faster. Ban cars and trucks? How do you expect to be able to buy ne dvds or pcs or any goods? How would it get to the store? I wonder how many would be out of work with your plan in place. No more taxi cabs, no more truck drivers, no more buses. That's a lot of people not working. There'd be a huge revolt and Queens Park would burn down. Maybe that's what you want.

The soviet system worked out so well for your people you want to try it here. The Jewish Bolshevik revolution hopefully won't happen here in Canada. From peoples outlook today, it seems like it already has.

Isn't it time to slow down immigration?
Mr.Canada replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Exactly the reason the suburbs keep getting farther away. We live in Halton Hills and are safe so far as there's no transit. We keep voting against it. We've seen what happens to places that have transit. Like it or not white people are constantly moving further away trying to get away from that. I'm not sure if people do it subconciously or not but that would be an interesting study. Are all people who leave the GTA racists to your mindset? If you want a perfect example of why we move out, here it is. Go shop or stroll into the Wal-Mart at Boivard and Hwy 10 on Saturday morning. Than go to the Wal-Mart in Georgetown the same day. You'll see a huge difference. -
What do you expect? A fair analysis? Bill Maher is a Jewish personality in Hollywood looking to make a buck, nothing more.

Liberal fear mongering at it's pathetic best. I'll wager that your quality of life won't change one bit no matter who is PM. -
Finance Minister Jim Flaherty to hold news conference
Mr.Canada replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Would you like me to quote all the broken promises of the Liberal party of Ontario or Federally? The list wouldn't fit into this screen. Now Mr.Harper has also said more recently that there will be no deficit for 2008. The mark of a good leader is to be able to switch gears and in these rough economic times it's refreshing to see honesty and integrity on the Hill. A leader who isn't afraid to do the tough thing, to ask Canadians to dig deeper so we, as a nation can get through this together. You see. Mr. Harper knows that running a $1.5 Trillion dollar economy isn't easy and is a bit harder than sitting on a forum complaining all day long. Mr. Harper knows what it takes to get the results Canadians want. He's an economist for Pete's sake, I think it's safe to say that he knows a tad more about this than anyone on MLW. As economic times change so must the plan. To stand firm may lead to large economic loss. Let's rally behind our leader and trust him. We may be surprised and how great a job he's actually doing. Let's not forget Mr. Dions plan to implement more taxes on all the good we buy or Mr. Laytons plan to raise corporate taxes in a rough period. All of these would lead to massive unemployment. The Canadian public knew that and chose the right leader for the right time. PM Stephan Harper and the CPC, they get the job done. -
Argus, haven't you learned by now that the Liberals count how many minorities everyone has whereas the conservatives don't believe in counting them as we are all human. The Liberals see a person of colour, an angle they can play, a political opportunity. The conservatives just see a fellow Canadian.

I don't really see any discussion value here as any argument cannot be disproved or proven.

Political Citizen, how old are you? I ask because I find it hard to believe that you haven't read anything about Canada if you care about it so much. Why do you want everyone else to do your research? Why don't you try googling some answers for yourself instead of wasting everyone's time. Are you that lazy? No wonder our country is going to hell. Our system is based on the British common system. As we were a British Colony still at that point. The National Anthem was the same as in the UK. God Save the Queen. Make sense now? Everyone's vote is worth exactly the same, one. In monetary value it is worth $1.75 to the party you cast it. You are suggesting that everyone who runs should be rewarded with a seat which unworkable quote frankly. I know we're in an age now where everyone is overly sensitive and we have to include everyone or they need grief counseling but give me a break. If the candidates are that sensitive that they get overwhelmed with grief by not winning an electoral riding they need to go in for some more grief counseling sessions on my tax dollar. Like it or not Nuclear power is by far the cleanest energy to produce. Much cleaner than using fossil fuels like coal. It produces nearly zero emissions into the environment. It produces steam. Is it perfect? No, but it's the best solution we have so far. We don't have any other viable options to produce the amount of power generated from 1 Nuclear power station.

Are you suggesting that the world economic banking crisis is Mr. Harpers fault now?
-
Oh, they never have any shortage of things to whinge about.

Most big business is based in the US. Shareholders and the bottom line are all that are important. As always the consumer would foot the bill and the price of goods would go up across the board.

Semantics. EDIT- I love it when people have no retort attempt to be witty. I find it amusing. -

Without Europeans this country wouldn't be what it is today. It wouldn't be here for others to take advantage of. -
LOL. That is absolutely ridiculous. Sounds funny as hell though. LMAO. I guess I see what I must sound like now.
-
That would be partly because if Canada followed the NDP fiscal plan it would most certainly bankrupt the country. Raise interest rates and taxes to the point of near total market collapse. However they can make all sorts of pie in the sky promises as they know they'll never form a government.

Mr.Canada replied to independent's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If you continued to read the topic you'd find that I was having some fun. It was a joke. -
It makes sense to me but I'll start saying that the CPC had won seats right across the country from coast to coast to coast. The Liberals cannot make the same boast. Or something, I'll work on it. Geez M.Dancer, you've been slapping me around a lot today
