Tories to turn off taps on political loans

Realy I seem to recall that the conservatives have the largest fundraising machine. I seem to recall a few large leadership loans which have crippled a certain party who has got nothing left in the bank to fight a campaign. -

Tory $500 per plate lunch, When was the last for those, I haven't sen one publisized in years, but I am sur etheir is the odd one in some ridings, but you really don't like those, then I don't think you can support any party, as they all do those $500 per plate events, remeber the liberal "auction" a couple of years ago were they encouraged the attendees to spend more then the donoation limit? The fact is progressive liberal expensive fundraiser dinners are don by every party and if you don't think the liberals do them as well as other parties you are ignorant -

No in our programing we are required to take certain channels, and if the is a channel that the CRTC deems as the Canadian equivelent of the American channel we only get the canadian one. -

The CRTC is the mistake. -
Patrick Brown Wants To Raise Your Cable Bill
Alta4ever replied to robert_viera's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
how about give the consumer the choice of whether or not they want it, but then we have the liberals to thank for the CRTC telling us what we should watch, and what crap our tax and advertising dollars should support. Its time for the CRTC and CBC to disapear from Canada, lets make our own choices instead of letting some government civil servant tell us what our choice is. -

Obama Is Destroying The Economy
Alta4ever replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
give it up buddy, one book of 704 pages, considering, you have one book in which you have used a google seach engine to search the text is suppose to convince anyone? Considering Churchill put more words to paper than any other writer ( just one book in his history of the second world war was over 716 pages at it was one of six books), you won't find all references to Churchill in one book that was published in 1965-66. So please do you have anything more then one google search you did because a great quote with much meaning doesn't fit your view of society, economics, prosperity and government? what Reagan said was " The idea that a nation can tax itself into prosperity is one of the crudest delusions which has ever befuddled the human mind." Little different than the quote that was attributed to churchill isn't it. -

I never was quoting reagan, I was quoting what I had read, which appears to have been said in 1903 by Churchill in the house of Commons We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. -

I beleive they should be replaced with common people and have a very short expiry date on their service before the power has had time to corrupt them. Much of the civil service is waste anyway people who have no real use or power so they exploite the little we give them. The governmetn and the civil service need to be drastically reduced. -

There is a quote from the wise Churchill that goes something like the following A nation is as able to tax itself into prosperity as one is able to stand in a bucket and lift himself up by the handle. -

Again another great post. -
healthcare isn't free and if you think it is you are deluding yourself, it entails a huge cost. Health care should be availible to everyone and they should not be discriminated against by class, but it is not free and should not be treated as such.

It is about him and what the government sdoes to adversely effect the current economy. By spending o much borrowed money on "social programs" he is leading the economy down further. -

You seem to like the perpetual bad record which is socialism and socist policies. Something tried over and over in the last 100 years and all atempts have either failed or turned in to dictitorial states. so like I said whatever helps you sleep while Obama destroies and pushes the world from recession into depression.
