  1. Pro-American *gasp*Oh shakey I'm embarrassed for you. There are more than a couple of Albertans on this forum and not all of them are conservative. And uh guess where this forum is based?
  2. The US is fighting injustice, corruption, and ignorance... or do you consider the Taliban and Saddam beacons of human decency? But Canada does keep it's head in the sand. Where was Canada when Saddam was gasing the Kurds, where was Canada when the Taliban was executing women, where has Canada been the past 20 years while the Sudanese government has been killing it's own people, why does Canada put up with China and it's human rights violations? Instead Canadians are too worried about what the US and George Bush are doing, banging drums and protesting in the streets. It's insane. What is this, high school? Grow up. The sheer arrogance of such a statement is precisely why people think of USians as "Ugly Americans". It's true, Canadians are jealous. It's a little mans syndrome. Angry that no body pays attention to them. No, Canadians are the the ones who suffer from arrogance.
  3. Sorry Newfie, I often make that mistake. I guess I should say Ontario and Quebec. As for my view on the senate triple E for sure but I think it's just one part of the problem. We need major democratic reform in other areas such as the PMO etc. and more power for the provinces.
  4. Let me clarify Newfie. I think Canadians are jealous of the power and clout that the US has in the world. They are jealous of the wealth of the US which Canadians feel they don't deserve because they are stupid. As for their environment, crime rate etc. Canadians are not jealous of course.
  5. In that case I apologize. No it's much higher. As I understand it it's between 10% and 25%. And I'm hoping for another NEP type of program to push it over 50%. No I love Alberta. I think I'll stay. Just don't like Eastern Canada.
  6. It's not just Canadians here. But you lefties are all tied in together. So when I say you'll be sore losers it doesn't matter if you can vote or not. I'm refering to how upset you'll be when Bush wins. Lefist Canadians will make the same excuses the leftist American minority will make when Dubya wins. BTW I'm from Alberta, therefore feel free to continue the litany of ad hominem insults like 'redneck', 'bigot', 'racist' etc.
  7. If you don't want to live in Canada, do us a favour, shut-up and move. Shut up? easy there gestapo. And us right wingers are the fascists? lol Like I've said before, we'll leave but we'll take our province with us...
  8. Newfie, I'm glad you make the distinction between the actual Fox News and it's commentator programs like O'Reilly. The ignorant left often uses it's commentators to try to prove right wing bias in Fox News. Most Canadians who bag on Fox have never even seen it. The CRTC does not allow the Fox News chanel in Canada. From time to time a cable provider will make a request to provide Fox News and the CRTC will deny the request and post it on their web site. If you email them the question they'll email you back an answer. But be aware that it might just be BS. Their answer to me was that no cable provider had requested it.CRTC
  9. Needless to say I'd prefer the Republic of Alberta Republic of Alberta
  10. Dookie you're wasting your time if you are honestly trying to get an answer from Canadians. Canadians have an ingrained superiority complex towards Americans. It's a combination of being indoctrinated to believe that the whole world loves Canadians and hates Americans by our ultra-left wing media, newspapers and education system. It doesn't help that Canadians are incredibly jealous of the US.
  11. Already getting ready to be sore losers are we. Accusing the Conservatives of cheating or "stealing" the election before they even get the chance. I wonder who you'll be able to blame this time. You guys remind me of the guy I used to play squash with. Always had a sore ankle or headache or a cold before we played the game, always a good excuse for when he lost.
  12. Hey where'd you get that quote from Ann Coulter when she said she wished Tim McVey blew up the NY Times... I like that.
  13. No. We've proven sufficiently that Bush's policies do not differ vastly from how previous presidents have handled comparible situations. Most of your critisisms of Bush, BD, are along the lines of how he talks, how he got there or how smart he is. Most of all you hate his religion, as small part of his presidency. No your hatred is quite irrational.
  14. Liberals love free speech
  15. And the left continues to deny the irrationality of their hatred of Bush. All I hear is insulting attacks like "he's a pussy", "he's a liar", "he can't talk". Never anything with any substance. What is even funnier is "he's a moron" but wait "he's a great debater" so Kerry has to be careful. What can you expect from the over-emotional and irrational left.
  16. LOL. You see what happens when you decide to punish business. They take the jobs and wealth they provide and go somewhere where they are treated more fairly. Not only will the business recieve better tax treatment here in Alberta but their employees will have a better quality of life making them more productive and thus making the company more profitable. Unfortunately you socialists think big government taxing and wasting is the answer. And the Exodus continues with the Expos heading to DC. I love it.
  17. Ya and what were his approval ratings of his handleing of 9-11? somewhere around 90%. The economy has improved, the tax cuts are working, as we speak more tax cuts are going through congress, and despite the attempts of the left to blame Bush for the economy most Americans realize the econmy was the result of the most horrendous attack in American history. And thus Bush's numbers go higher, I think to a 7 point lead was the last poll I heard. Well I know perhaps Canadian's secularism is one reason they have this moral superiority complex but the majority of Americans are religious and side with Bush. ...more irrational hatred. They are united by some common themes: 1) to rid "their" land of "infidels" 2) To kill Americans 3) To kill Jews and push Israel into the sea. And you paint Bush as a relious fanatic?
  18. Oh come on now, who else would you like to be conveniently dead? Why is it that you are wanting so bad for this not to be al Zarqawi? And why are you so intent on trying to prove that he has no affiliation with al qaida? It's obvious, the left so badly wants these terrorists ("insurgents") to be Iraqi's who are angry about the invasion. And if these terrorists are fighting for the freedom of Iraq why do they call themselves supporters of al Zarqawi and fly his flag as they behead their victims? Your arguments fail to grasp the concept of terror cells and the age old concept of "my enemy's enemy is my friend". Well honestly you do seem to like defending them.
  19. Truth about Terror
  20. Hey well after Bush serves out his next term maybe Guliani will win and then we have one more Bush in waiting. Yep good ol' Jeb will be ready to take the lead. I'm just glad that the US chooses the president and not Canada.
  21. As for Bush's Guard service: "...That was 80 weeks to begin with, and there were other training periods thrown in as well. It was full-time work. By the time it was over, Bush had served nearly two years. Not two years of weekends. Two years. After training, Bush kept flying, racking up hundreds of hours in F-102 jets. As he did, he accumulated points toward his National Guard service requirements. At the time, guardsmen were required to accumulate a minimum of 50 points to meet their yearly obligation. According to records released earlier this year, Bush earned 253 points in his first year, May 1968 to May 1969 (since he joined in May 1968, his service thereafter was measured on a May-to-May basis). Bush earned 340 points in 1969-1970. He earned 137 points in 1970-1971. And he earned 112 points in 1971-1972. The numbers indicate that in his first four years, Bush not only showed up, he showed up a lot. Did you know that? That brings the story to May 1972 — the time that has been the focus of so many news reports — when Bush “deserted” (according to anti-Bush filmmaker Michael Moore) or went “AWOL” (according to Terry McAuliffe, chairman of the Democratic National Committee). Bush asked for permission to go to Alabama to work on a Senate campaign. His superior officers said OK. Requests like that weren’t unusual, says retired Col. William Campenni, who flew with Bush in 1970 and 1971. “In 1972, there was an enormous glut of pilots,” Campenni says. “The Vietnam War was winding down, and the Air Force was putting pilots in desk jobs. In ’72 or ’73, if you were a pilot, active or Guard, and you had an obligation and wanted to get out, no problem. In fact, you were helping them solve their problem.” So Bush stopped flying. From May 1972 to May 1973, he earned just 56 points — not much, but enough to meet his requirement." Bush's National Guard Years
  22. Yes the right was out to get him. And true Clinton was a polarizer but that wasn't my point. My point was Bush haters didn't hold Clinton to the same standard. Insurgents, the leftist media loves that euphemism. Anyway yes Al zarqawi from Jordan is it. There is no argument, these so called freedom fighters are Al Qaeda. How about the full context of that quote and then Bush's clarification the next day.
  23. Calgary is great. Don't come if you're a California liberal. We've been infiltrated enough by Eastern Canadians. If you're from Orange County you'll fit right in here. The only racism I've seen is anti-Americanism. Most educated Calgarians are very tolerant and accepting of Americans. Then national pastime of the uneducated is hating americans.
