Canada says safety of Pakistan woman Asia Bibi top priority

Bibi’s lawyer, Saiful Malook, said in an op-ed in the Washington Post last month that his client’s most likely destination would be Canada if she was able to leave Pakistan.

And this fall, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told Agence France-Presse in Paris that Canada was in discussions with the Pakistani government over the case, but declined to comment further, citing a “delicate domestic context.”

What "delicate domestic context" would that be,  I wonder.  Shades of weakling England's "domestic" reason for turning her down?

Asia Bibi 'not offered UK asylum amid concerns of unrest and attacks'

Britain has not offered asylum to a Pakistani Christian woman freed after eight years on death row for blasphemy because of fear it would prompt “unrest” in the UK and attacks on embassies, her supporters claim.

Asia Bibi and her family had appealed for sanctuary in Britain after her conviction was quashed by Pakistan's supreme court.

After taking in the Saudi woman (in a matter of days), it wouldn't look good of Trudeau government, if Christian Bibi is killed.

Conflicting reports about Asia Bibi's whereabouts

However, the lawyer reportedly refused to confirm the statement after he was contacted by the German Catholic charity Missio hours later.

Previous reports said that Bibi could not leave her native country aboard a regular flight.

Shaan Taseer, the son of the former governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer, who was killed for supporting Bibi, told DW that Bibi is still in Pakistan.
