      Dunno about Scheer being an insurance broker and don't really care, but this is no different than conservative lies about Trudeau being nothing but a part-time drama teacher during the last election.  You were part of that group spreading those lies, so you may as well accept that what goes around comes around.

    Renewables currently only account for 5% of global energy and when it comes to reliable and plentiful power, not all energy is created equal. We do have to work on different sources of energy, lower or try to eliminate pollution etc. but we aren’t there yet and the world is not going to end in 8- 12 years if we don't get it that soon. The earth has always cycled in an out of ice ages warming without the help of man, so man can't stop this, whatever it is. As I said, we can work towards cleaning up our act even if other countries are not, which of course negates everything we do anyway. Besides, I'm not in favour of eliminating airlines, the meat industry, the auto industry and sitting in the dark with a candle. We are working on developing much more fuel efficient engines etc. and people do want their meat but maybe they are working on designing a more efficient cow.     I like this part. Western society has managed to convince itself (at least in public) that any statement criticising any aspect of Islam is, by definition, bigotry. As a result, Western societies have effectively decided to enforce Islamic restrictions on blasphemy, and called it ‘tolerance’.

      One of the things that caused me to leave the JW's was the "scare factor" and how it affected children.  They teach that "at any minute" God is going to destroy everyone but themselves (about 8 million people) and have illustrations in their literature of horrific apocalyptic scenes.  Growing up, going to school being made to believe that at any moment your classmates could turn on you, kill you in horrific ways and then be destroyed themselves in a world-wide bloodbath is, IMO - child abuse.  I have no beef with her or her message but I see the same thing here - a young girl terrified by apocalyptic fears instilled by the adults around her.

    Liberals don't even know what an assault rifle is so how can they ban them. An AR15 style rifle is a semi-Automatic, not an assault weapon. Soldiers use assault weapons in battle not Canadian citizens doing target practice defending their homes, hunting or protecting their farms.
