LOL! Well, there will have to be a lot of killing to create peace. Peace is a difficult commodity to find when the goal of the enemy is to kill all who stand in their way. Another part of the world where negotiation will be of little value. Perhaps even less value than life. Borg

Should Mohawk Warriors Be Accorded Respect
Borg replied to AngusThermopyle's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Unless you can prove the treaties end as you state - and I bet you cannot - then treaties are a one time deal. So show me that specific scribing on ALL those treaties please - or stand down on what I believe to be the BS factor. In fact I do not believe that those words are written on any treaty created between the winners and the losers in Canada. Borg -
You may be a reasonable person, and your argument may sound reasonable to you now. However, there is a good chance that the future will bring things that would and will seem unreasonable to you. It is my firm belief we will see things get far worse in the future. It is also my firm belief that we will see the "unthinkable now" become the accepted norm - and all within my lifetime. There are many examples of this in history. Why? Because the average Canadian as a whole does not believe it CAN happen. And there is non STRONG will to prevent this from happening in the future. Mark my words - even those who will castigate my comments - we will see Islamists bring some serious and very detrimental changes to this country - and we will allow it to happen. All in the name of co-operation and "the spirit of the Canadian Way". Borg

Look, it is a one way street in Canada so she better get used to it. Try going to a certain clinic in Cornwall, Ontario. If you do not speak french they will not allow you to book an appointment. Try telling a frenchie that s/he MUST speak english to be served in Ottawa and the lefties scream while pollies bluster. Time for her to find a new home, Borg

And it continues to grow. http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/news...12-439381cdd8c7 Snip ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Women's group targets hijab, yarmulke Religious symbols in civil service. To urge ban at accommodation hearings JASON MAGDER and KATHERINE WILTON, The Gazette Published: 5 hours ago If the Quebec Council on the Status of Women has its way, teachers, doctors and anyone working in a public institution in this province would not be permitted to wear hijabs or yarmulkes. The council is calling on the Quebec government to ban what it calls visible religious symbols. While a crucifix or a Star of David on a necklace would be acceptable, council president Christiane Pelchat said, public employees should not be permitted to wear such overt symbols as the hijab, a head covering worn by Muslim women, or the yarmulke, a skullcap worn by Jewish men. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- end snip .... And so it grows - and it will continue as Canadian general public tires of real and perceievd issues with the changing of this country. We are not as left leaning as some might like to think. Borg

Conservatives Admit that Daycare Progam
Borg replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
How about just being responsible for your own kids - or not having them if you cannot afford tham? The last place I would want my kids is in a government sponsored daycare (read brainwashing) facility. Can't raise them? Then do not have them. Borg -
Actually they are that simple you apologist! I lived it for many years thanks to the UN. Time for you to get out of your rose coloured world. Humanitarian disaster? Caused by whom? If the Arabs stopped shelling the Jews - in other words stopped kicking the bee hive - the cross border stuff would stop. If Arabs stopped killing Jews it would get very quiet in the middle east. You will not admit to this. Inside Gaza tha Arabs are killing each other. Common denominator for trouble making? Arabs. Time for you to travel. Bring a vest. Might I recommend the new "Dragon Scales"? It provides flexibility when diving for cover. Borg

Sum total? Part of it. Discrimination is a two way street and don't you forget it jennie. New arrivals give as good as they get. Right or wrong you do not have to be white to be a racist. While I am sure I will be tracked down and lashed to the triangle for a whipping - Canadians are tired of ethnic ghetttos - created by immigrants not Canada, tired of language issues, tired of deportees disappearing into the wood work, tired of things such as being sued over bacon and so on. Tired of hiring quota and tired of special handling. Tired of que jumpers. Tired of known criminals arriving and declaring sanctuary. And the beat goes on. Come here legally - fine and dandy. Leave your old ways and adapt. Do not force Canadians to adapt to you. Or stay home in the quagmire you and yours created - and now you are so anxious to leave - and recreate in another country. Borg

I quite believe you are simply trolling. My comments stand - two tier laws - one for the Indian and one for the remainder. Borg -

Armed thugs with a law that is different and provides special treatment. No white guy could do those things and not be arrested. Two tier society. Borg -
I support your thoughts - but - Canada admits to not knowing where more than 40,000 illegals oredered deported are. We cannot control it unless we load them and truck them - out - as soon as rounded up. We will be like England or France within my life time. Borg

Is it time for "the west" to accept responsibility
Borg replied to Higgly's topic in The Rest of the World
Nope. I just do not care. I work for what I have. They want to eat - work. They want education - study. Stop blaming everyone else for their troubles. Do not like it my attitude? Tough. My ancestors ate meat and struggled to improve my lot in life. Pack up and move if it is tough where they live. Others did it. And many of them died doing it. But they did succeed. No one wiill miss those who blame and sit back and do nothing to improve THEIR OWN lot in life. The west is here to stay. The west does not prevent Mugabe from running out farmers - then it is beat up because there is no aide for the hungry. You (attack coming - report me) are an idi&&t if you think the west is their trouble. The trouble is people in other countries (their own countries) do not stand up and bark like dogs and try to improve. Instead they suck the life blood out of aide organizations and cry foul. And (attack coming - report me) idi**ts like you attempt to perpetuate the myth. Ancient societies were not destroyed by us - they did it to themselves. Time they fixed their own problems and we stopped wearing the hair shirt of guilt. They do not want to improve their lot they can go hungry. You can join them. Borg -
A Muslim inmate has won $2,000 for bacon insult
Borg replied to ScottSA's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Go to jail - lose your rights. Eat what is on your plate or go hungry. Every major city has homeless that would love to have that food. Hard labour and low cal food for the folks behind bars. Subsistance diet is adequate. Got a complaint? Stay out of jail and you can make your own dietary choices. Borg -
Is it time for "the west" to accept responsibility
Borg replied to Higgly's topic in The Rest of the World
" Is it time for "the west" to accept responsibility, for the mess the world is in?" Hardly. Back in the olden days - the middle east was a bastion of medicine and science. The old cultures have stagnated on the vine. They were doing this before North America was settled. All those ancient civiliazations have no one to blame for their predicament but themselvs. Personally I am glad I have hot water. I am glad I have electricity. And I am glad I have all the additional ammenities. If those in the "other" parts of the world would show some initiative and settle their own probs they could get there as well. It is not my fault. It is their own. Borg -
Those damned Jews! It is all their fault! Every bit of trouble in the middle east could go away and peace would reign supreme. All we have to do is drive the Jews into the ocean! Buffycat - if all those folks who decided it was ok to shoot at Isreal - would stop doing so, the Jews would not be firing back. Argue all you want - leave the beehive alone and it drones on in peace and contentment. Stop kicking them and they really will leave you alone. I know you will not acknowledge that. But - what the heck - let's finish the final solution - after all it is the only way to bring peace into the middle east. The writer of War on Gaza's Children needs someone to blame - and obviously it is not those who live at home. To blame them may bring sanction or death. When you cannot focus upon the truth, create hate - and focus the population on that hate. It truly works. Gaza is a great example. It is run by it's own people and terror is still happening. But wait - I am sure we can find a way to blame the darned Jew. So, let's make some money and sell a story to the eager world population about how bad the Jews really are. Sigh ....... I hope you only posted for interest, and not because you believe this tripe. Borg

Why do we call it a "Life Sentence"?

Blame our feel good society. Yes, even you the reader had a hand in this. Deny as you might - you vote in the governments that make the laws. Borg -
A tempest in a teapot. Now I wonder what would have happened if it had been an art show depicting Mohammed as a gay fella'? World wide ramifications perhaps? Or would it even have been allowed to be shown? Borg

US Refuses our Lumber but wants our Water
Borg replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
To a certain extent you are correct. However - it can be removed at a rate faster than replenishment. Witness the desertification of the southern U.S. of A. Sign over rights to water and we will see water disappear. Some day it will happen - either by signature or by force. It is an area of "vital interest". Borg -
PQ says Quebec needs full control of immigration
Borg replied to Leafless's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Well spoken. However Kebek will continue to rule the roost using fear of separation as the final and ultimate threat. I say - Let them go! We will be better off without them. Borg -
How true. Canadians as a whole tend to throw a lot of stones and at the same time ignore their own issues. Social re-engineering has been quite successful. Imagine the uproar if it had been "F^%$ the Kebekers". One way streets exist - but more so in Kebek than anywhere else. All in the name of culture. Borg
