  1. When you buy a vehicle it does not need to be registered. Load it on the flat bed and take it home - or get a temporary transport sticker and drive it home. In case you never noticed - those vehicles that are registered must be renewed each year - or you can let them expire. As long as they are not used on public roads registration is not required. New or used - we run them all unregistered - just an expense we do not pay - because we are off road on private property at all times. In fact I do not even register the quads - or four wheelers for those in the east. And I do not register the snow machines either. Why bother. It is money to the government and I would rather it stay in my pocket. In fact they are also ALL uninsured. Anyone - and I do mean anyone can own an unregistered vehicle. Just do not drive it on a public road system. Probably not an option for you - but for me? Not only an option, but definitely a requirement. I refuse to give the governments any more money than is absolutely necessary. A bit side tracked, but it can easily apply to anything - including firearms - the "I love to hate them" tool of the limp wristed left. Borg
  2. I asked several questions and indeed asked for a solution - you simply continue to spout. You also ignored examples of other deadly items and social problems. Another canucklehead perhaps? Once again you need to get out a bit more to see what the country and indeed the world has to offer. Your apartment is definitely affecting you. I can see your mind is as closed as your scribing. Borg
  3. Nice comments - however the laws are not applied equally in this country. Cultural differences are definitely becoming a factor. Quote - I guess if we did not have multiculturalism in this country, no one would be killed. Somehow I doubt it. - end quote Why invite even more known trouble? Are you a person who wears a vacant smile as well? Borg
  4. Despite the ramblings of your sometimes incoherent writing style, I must address one issue. This person who did the dastardly deed was not a nut. He is likely a follower and a believer of sharia law. All women are owned and property. To be done with as is felt like. What he did is quite legal in many countries that follow his religion. That is why he will be well supported here in this country with lots of help from his community. And the legal system will do their best to understand and lessen the penalty. If indeed there is a penalty to be paid at all. I bet - if he did indeed do this - he gets off with day parole at worst. Perhaps a little counselling on the side to help him adjust to canuckleland. And canuckleheads will support him in his "time of need" rather than realize this is what we import on a daily basis. We reap what we sow. Borg
  5. Is this "homeless" thread not a repeat as well? Borg
  6. Myata Do not use car registry as an example. I legally utilize several pickup trucks every day. None are registered or insured. One of them is only 6 months old and a nice vehicle. If I use them on private property or on ranches or farms or even on many construction site and other privately owned or controlled places - they are not required to have registration - as long as they do not travel on a public road they can be unregistered, unlicensed and un-insured. So, if a vehicle is a deadly weapon and not required to be registered as I use it - then why would a firearm be any different? After all vehicles kill far more people than firearms in this country. So in my opinion ownership of ANY legal item - purchased legally - past or present is indeed a right. Otherwise your pickup truck ownership is also a privilige. Who are you or anyone else to tell me the consumer what I have a right to own? Otherwise, that wine making kit you own is a privilege - after all you can create a drunk driver. Ownership of soap and kerosene and sulphur and gasoline and diesel and fertilizer is a privilege - as I can and do know how to make bombs from them. Or that chemistry kit you own is a privilege - after all it allows you the ability to create a great street drug - meth. To start the right / privilege of ownership argument is nothing more than a slippery step on a slippery slope. Can I own syringes and needles? They can be used as a deadly weapon and indeed kill far more people than firearms. Should I use the "medical misadventure" statistics from Stats Can to prove doctors are a leading killer? Far higher numbers die from doctor mistakes than drunk drivers and firearms owners put together. In fact they sit right up in the top ten or 20 of the top killers killers in Canada The nanny state will reign supreme if folks like you have their way. If you want to be taken seriously then you need to come up with a solution - NOT some whining, media enhanced, left leaning, parrotting talk about danger and right to own. Otherwise, what will be next? Try finding a solution instead. Interesting comments from above regarding non-compliance as well. A suit wearing neighbour has quite a number of those "dangerous tools" - all stored in his house and all unregistered. If I am told the truth - and I believe I was - almost the entire club he belongs to have far more unregistered than registered firearms. Seems there are a great number of citizens who would disagree with you about right to own vs must register. Your fear of the unknown is obviously overtaking your ability to be rational. Suggest you look at the root social causes that create the troubles rather than the tool that is used. Racial clashes, drugs, gangs - most of these are strong contenders for trouble and they will not obey laws. After all - it has been law in this country to register handguns since the late 1930's. Seems this law has not been much of a deterrent. You want to solve the problem, try coming up with a workable solution and many have been proposed. The liberals rejected all of them. Votes come through appearance. And they made it appear to the public to be doing something. And you are one who has fallen for the smoke and mirrors. Any of the folks I know who own / owned firearms just shook their heads at the stupidity of it all. And that included the stupidity of the sheeple of canuckleland that believed another useless law would save them. Laws do not protect people. Police do not protect people. Police do not show up until after the crime has been committed - then they investigate that crime. People protect people. Borg
  7. Men's supposed rights? Lost me there. He will not be treated like any other canucklehead - he will be treated with kid gloves. Anything less will be considered trampling on his cultural rights by the appointed human rights folks and their ilk. The wonders of sharia law. Borg
  8. It is quite acceptable in canada to view immigrant actions such as this and honour killings as something we must tolerate. The courts will do nothing. The people of this country will make excuses for him. And certainly there will be nothing done to prevent this in the future. VArious appointed human rights commissions in this country will tell us we need to educate ourselves to be more sensitive to immigrant beliefs. You will be called an intolerant racist for even complaining about immigration. You will likely be thought of as a person who posted this "unusual occurence" as someone who wants to sensationalize this issue. In fact it is not an unusual incident. Fairly common. Canada will reap what it sows by being tolerant to the point of accepting anyone as a valued member of society - when in fact it is more and more apparent there are some - if not many - who come here that are indeed NOT planning to become valued members of this society. Borg
  9. Sad thing is there is a significan portion of canuckleheaded voters that support them. Tells me a lot about this country - and the media. Borg
  10. While I am a person who is not a huge Monarchist, I do recognize that until we change our own status in this country, the Royal Family are indeed our "figure head" leaders. Belonging to the "Empire" does indeed have a few benefits. That being stated I figure if she was smart she would stay away - just another place for a bunch of party goers to get drunk and bash the Anglos as a whole. I wonder if there will be any mention of the fact that the french got their asses handed to them on a silver platter way back when? Borg
  11. It appears you are part of the system already, as you want it / allow it / expect it to support YOU! Why would an able bodied man (assuming you are from previous posts) sit on his ass and complain about the system while sucking on the hind tit of that very system? Strikes me you have at least one child who knows the score and is doing her part. You - or perhaps your wife - raised her well. Yet she is also able to recognize who and what you are. I have never met your daughter and I think I like her. If this country had been founded by folks like you, we would not be where we are today - able to support whiners who complain about the rich - translated (for your edification) - those who created wealth for themselves through hard work and serious effort. So, you would suggest that living on the avails of others is the way to go? As I previously stated - it is time to "man up". Borg
  12. I do not see anything wrong with this You are capable of work and do not. She is capable of work and does. Only you can make a difference. Perhaps it is time to man up and make something of yourself. Borg
  13. Blah, blah, blah. First, the NRA is not associated with Canada - so send your comments to those who would care. Security guard in a church. Must be a great neighbourhood. I will not get into all of the very logical arguments that can counter your rant - other than to say if you truly understood the situation, you would realize that creating or deleting another law does not make one safer or place one in more danger. Just what is a "high powered rifle"? Is it simply a longer example of a "high powered" hand gun? Do they make "low powered" firearms or is it simply an excitment building description - highlighting the "evil of guns"? Obviously you do not have much in the line of knowledge of crime, criminals, the legal system and firearms. Margrace - The UK is now quite public - British Home Office - that crime - violent crime consisting of knives and firearms has become a serious and increasing problem. And they have some of the toughest laws that I can think of off the top. As a tidbit for you - do not carry a mini leatherman or gerber tool in your briefcase in downtown London. It is a jailable offence as a colleague found out on the way to a high level business meeting. Cost him court and a couple thousand pounds to get off with a recorded warning. Trex - Laws do NOT make people safer. Police arrive at the scene AFTER the crime has been committed and then INVESTIGATE what has transpired. People make people safer. Perhaps you need to get yourself a thought process that works? Borg
  14. Just dropped in on this thread. Wow! I cannot believe I just read what you wrote. Time for you to go and see for yourself. China doing better? Sorry, but you could not be further from the truth. You get out and about, you will see that good old left leaning canuckville is actually doing far better than most doomsayers think. Sure, lets shut down a couple of coal powered plants and replace them with nukes. Not likely. Let's just import more power from a coal fired plant in the U.S. - at least it makes us look good. The biggest prob with canucks - they want their cake and intend to eat it as well. Fools want Kyoto - kill the economy - and then have no plan to replace the power they lost. Or, instead plan to ship billions to other countries for pollution credits. Billions. Hell of a solution - keep polluting and ship the money out of country. I often wonder if anyone thinks it might be better to keep that money at home? I certainly do - and yes I know the excuses for shipping it. Perhaps we all need to dip into our ever diminishing piggy banks and ship 10% of that residual to China? So they can manufacture even more goods for us to buy - and our own folks lose jobs? It is NOT just about emmissions! So time for you to get out and have a look around before you make these types of statements. Borg
  15. Why would you say trigger happy? How would you know? RCMP? A truly diminished organization - no longer deserving the respect they once held. How many people have border guards killed in the past year as compared to "trigger happy" others. Tax collectors? I watched them do a pretty nice human slavery take down one night - on a ship using helicopters and military support. Never did and never will make the news. You only THINK you know what you talk about. Time to stop drinking your soya milk. Borg
  16. When in kebec - if you want to do business - speak the international language of business. English. It also serves as the language for medicine, engineering, aviation and so on. If you want to have dinner in kebec speak the local language. If you are in any other province the language is English despite local pockets of predominantly "other" - they all speak English. Only the lefties and the governments worried about the vote care about french outside kebec. Official bi-lang country? Waste of time and money to placate 28% of the population. When the rules change or kebec leaves things will be much better. Finally - why worry about kebec culture - it is stronger than ever - the language police take care of that - racist policy perhaps? Typical kebec and typical kebecers. Keep them at home behind their own border until they decide to join the remainder of Canada. Borg
  17. Seems you are quite prepared to call others names and not acknowledge your own probs. Heck you cannot even steal from the computer without getting caught. So much for the fancy edjumication you managed to tell us about. Buy it in a third world country? Borg
  18. And there is a scandal here? He is well within his rights to do this. Staffers are allowed on board - I believe - if that specific assistant is required for business purposes. And your point was? Borg
  19. An education does not prove intelligence - it simply proves specialization. Now let's see if you are able to prove intelligence. Borg
  20. Margrace I refuse to apologize for my grandparents and what they did. Those who serve are treated quite differently today. If they want to go back to the reservation when they quit - up to them. But ..... do not give me the old "no respect" argument. You either earn it or it goes elsewhere. Lots of very, very successful indian military and biz types today. Strangely enough even they seem to avoid the reserve and the residents. I wonder if it has anything to do with the "poor me" mentality that is rampant and certainly encouraged on the reserve? Or perhaps the drugs, cigs and liquor trades? Or the rampant nepotism? Or the "warrior class" lining their pockets? Or the unequal distribution of benfits on the reserve? Or the crooked elections? Or the "on reservation" policing system and all of the inherent failures? Or the criminally inept indian leaders that live in wealth while their bretheren live in poverty? Or .......... And the beat goes on. We have problems because the indian is happy to create them and live in isolation rather than become a part of this country. It is easier to blame someone else than it is to look in the mirror and state - "Time for me to get on with life and improve the lifestyle and health and benefits of my family. Ok - everyone pile on now - time to beat up Borg for telling it like it is. Borg
  21. If true it is a shame. Perhaps a link? Certainly I have not heard this on the news. Borg
  22. Unlike many canuckleheads who would rather switch than fight. It is difficult to not respect a person who is willing to defend their national interests - even if you do not agree with their politics. You probably have never experienced that desire due to others doing the job for you. Fortunately a rather different type of canadian existed during the first, second and Korean wars. Sounds to me like you need to get out more. Borg
  23. Another typical canuck reaction. Fortunately there are enough people in this country to replace them. I suppose they could always move on. What does a weanie "ex-border guard" ask when they are talking to you? Would you like your order super sized? The graduating classes of Algonquin College Police Foundations should benefit nicely from this limp wristed attitude of the 30%. I for one would not want someone on the border who is either afraid or unwilling to be armed. Borg
  24. Ranches that straddle the line. Neighbours in cities that have the middle of the street as the border - or their back yard fences as the border. Borg
  25. When you find that deal - please tell us all. Borg
