  1. And this is just what those oposed to the war do now. The US is ever so slowely succeeding in Iraq yet every step taken back recieves glee from these childish opponents. Iraqi policemen die in an accident; sorrow, pain, condolences or anger? Nope, just glee and chuckles at the US flopping around trying to make something of this magnitude work and encountering problems. The prize is a chance at world peace but if Iraq fails then there will be devastation across the middle east with a union of Terrorist Sponsering States from Iran to Lybia. The repercussions will be all out war with the Middle East within ten years or withdrawl into east/west hemispheres. France and it's buddies think this is some sort of political game but it's not. It is survival of our way of life. A way of life we are trying to bring these people who are living in poverty into. A way of life that gives health care, clean water, food, goods to make your life above the stone age, a say in your future and a life free from crime and torture. France and the rest would deny them this to play a joke on the US? Anyhow, Mulrooney was a dishonest rat. He ripped this country off for so much money he makes Cretien look like an amatuer. Cretien is the one who always get's caught, Mulrooney didn't. However, Mulrooney did do one thing right, he ran the country properly. BTW, good speach.
  2. After the Malaysian Prime Minister made his remarks to the Islamic Conference it sparked outrage across the world for it's anti Semitism and it's racial intonations. I brought it up and remarked on it and then CKNYKid was kind enough to supply the thread with the meat of the speech. (see below) These leaders have a concensus that they are having the boots put to them by the Jews. I cannot understand how (outside of the Israeli/Palestinian problem which is their problem) there is any oppresion going on. I also do not see any deliberate control attempts being made by Jews. CKNDKid was kind enough to say that there was this huge wordwide conspiracy by the Jew to do just this. I felt that this deserved it's own thread and here we are. I also decided to put a poll in as well. For further debate please see the thread "A Religion of Love" THE SPEACH
  3. OK. I understand now. I did not have any hard evidence of how much goes to the terrorist arms either. However, I imagine that whatever their budgets are they must be in the tens and most likely hundreds of millions. One would be hard put (even with interpol and the CIA at your fingertips) to be able to track down the exact sources and dollar amounts of these funds. Suffice to say that given the Palestinian's lack of industry and reliance on charity that all of the needs of Hamas and Jihad come from International Aid or Charities after it is laundered and moved around a few times. To estimate how much the EU gives terror would simply be a question of estimating the terrorist'sr expenditures by percentage of PA intake and then matching it against the proportion's each doner has given.
  4. Yes, an attack with WMD would certainly affect the stock market. And every person on the planet. The US, if attacked in this way would not stop to negotiate or attemt to be culturally sensitive to anything. Brimstone and hellfire would most likely be the response. Then it would probably hunker down into a police state the likes of what even the most rabid anti war type had never dreamed of in his worst nightmare. Pretty much anything and any amount is worth the lives and misery that terrorism could trigger.
  5. I responded because I knew it for a fact and an easily verifiable one at that. A question for you, what was your counter argument, I mean why would you not believe that? In any discussion I have with you do I have to prove every sentence I write because you wish to fillabuster me with demands for proof on every point? Of course not, I was perplexed that you demanded proof without saying why you did not believe that.
  6. Hope they see common sense and iksnay on the oanlay. Anyhow, like I said before. Bush origionally wnated to make the whole $20 billion a loan. He is your ally in this. BTW, thanks for the links. Appreciated
  7. I am religious but don't care if it is in or not. It would not offend me if it were taken out nor would it make me quake in fear if it were left in. I do however feel that some people like it in. More than want it out. To the many, it gives comfort. To the few, for whatever reason it does nothing but irritate. This is one of the foundations of America. All things must change however so why not make up your own Atheist pledge and say it while the other Americans say theirs? I view it like the continual changing of the Canadian anthem; enough already for God's sake!
  8. Tell me Ckny, how does the Jew keep Saudi Arabia down? How has the Jew kept Iraq in poverty and turmoil? What Jew runs Canada? How does the Jew control Lybia? Egypt? Yemen? What does the Jew have to do with Malaysia? The country is thousands of miles away from the nearest Menorah for crying out loud! Just please, give me some hard examples, none of the gereralized "oppressed peoples" of this and that crap. Real examples of events (without even goiing into Israel and Palestinians) where some Jew is controling millions of Arabs. And don't do the cop out thing with how the US is controled by the Jew and use that as your whole argument. Show me how it is controlled by the Jew, show me how Wall Street is a puppet of the Jew. Show me how foreign policy is made by the Jew. Show me how the Jew, who wants to take over the earth controls the President. All these Arab countries have little to do with the USA except take Aid from her and mope about the Jew. There must be some very apparent evidence that I have not seen.
  9. Prove to me that that is the law of Mapleleaforums RB. Now, while we wait for a week or so for you to waste time compiling a complete survey of all members of the forum on this matter let us explore your valid belief that the burden of proof lies with the one who makes the statement. I agree and disagree with you. It is proper to ask for proof of something that is way out to lunch but you have to remember, you challenged the fact without anything to back it up save "prove it." Where is your counter reasoning or facts? There wasn't any so why should Craig look up something he knows if you simply laid out a demand (and a slightly contemptuous one at that?) If you came back with proof that they didn't recieve money then it would certainly be up to him to disprove you. If you really didn't know and wanted to learn then you might have asked where you could peruse this information but you were challenging his statement with nothing offered from yourself. That is why in this case the onus was on you to at least try. Now I hardly think that funds being channeled to Hamas through aid is news. He didn't tell you that everything you had ever known was wrong or that the laws of physics have been reversed. He told you some minor point about Aid given to Palestinians and you immediately demanded proof. Do like I did, thirty seconds with a search engine and fifty answers came up. I wouldn't waste your time with frivolous demands for proof like that. If we all did that to each other point for point nothing would be discussed - ever. Just wondering, is your proof on the validity of your statement reguarding the onus of proof going to come in the form of a pie chart or graph?
  10. I think it's pretty good too Gugs. I emailed Orchard and voted. On top of that I got a date and won a $25 gift certificate when I submitted it!
  11. For somebody with a handle like "Bushmustgo" you really should bone up on your politics. Republican Senator John McCain sorted Bush out when Bush was going to make it a loan as you wished. He (McCain) said to congress that in order to send the clear message to the Iraqi people (and I might add, anti war rhetoric chanters such as yourself) that we came to help rather than steal oil (as oil is the only way Iraq could ever repay part of what was expended.) He said that it must be in the form of a grant rather than loan. So really, Bush agreed with you and it is all your state representitives that are at fault. One other thing Bushmustgo. I don't want you to blow a gasket or anything but it's not $10 Billion. It's $20. You had better get a movement to keep Bush scince he is the one who agreed with you and turf your representatives.
  12. Why would you not simply say the pledge and inconspiculously leave out the word God? It is true to your heart (unless of coourse you hate your country) and is less likely to make you look like so much of an attention grabbing freak? If the words as a whole or part offended you so much I am sure that an excusal from the whole ordeal would be accomidated for you but it really isn't this is it? It's simply a point you want to make, a game perhaps? Whether it is or is not it is a good exercise in asserting your rights at your age. Harmless. What irritates me however is when these adults like the gent mentioned in the posts above wastes money, time and resources on something that is so trivial to some and yet so mesaningful to others. For example, if I was an Athiest why would I care if God or the Three Stooges was mentioned? To the person next to me who was very religious and had a family member who died in a foriegn war it would mean a great deal. I would recite it simply out of respect for them, and audibly I might add. Unless the word "God" shatters your eardrum or somehow opens up the gates of hell in your mind there is no reason to fear using it. If it is that one quarter second that you feel wasted each day when it is mentioned then a person might consider getting some serious time management skills under his/her belt. However, we all know this fight is trivial and at a time when there are many other issues to tackle filling the courts up with this is a sin to the people.
  13. Proof? Didn't think so. KK Sorry to jump in here Craig. I was waiting for the Sauna to heat up and thought I'd see if I could find proof in thirty seconds or less http://www.washingtoninstitute.org/watch/p...tch2002/638.htm As well, enter EU aid to Paletine and you will come up with a figure of something like 4.4 billion Euros. I don't know what the exchange rate is but it's more than $300 million I think. Black Dog, before you challenge facts please spend at least a minute on a search of some kind. Thanks.
  14. Yes, it was a front door to voting for Davis. It cost him less than what Cretien pays out though ($200 cheques for grannys and convicts)
  15. Good point and welcome to the forum Debo. Now if we could only get them to send a message to the Palestinians via an 88 milimeter shell in Yasser's cake hole then we might start to get some peace and quiet. BBTW CknKid, the actual material damage may be negligable or it may be extreme, it would depend on who was in the camp at the time. Janitors or mid to high level operatives teaching. Also on what they were doing, preparing for an attack or just having a pipe of hash.
  16. MORGAN FOR PREZ!!! After reading this I said "Oh my, I hope some higher entity (if it exists) decides to spare his sorry butt and not strike him dead." I also loved the rational that the pledge is saying that the nation was formed by people who believed in God.
  17. Very good point you have there Riff. I was too afraid of being on the bad end of your wrath for changing US to UN (bad net manners you know) but take it that you meant UN I also agree with you that the aid in which the US gave Saddam was in fact weapons to fight our common enemy Iran. When it looked like he might win they gave aid to Iran. Reason being is that the world would've been a very bad place if either of them won. Hence the non partisan aid given. Should have crossed quoted you to that Iltiss discussion we were having. But Riff, isn't that the risk that all UN administrators take when they sign up for duty in a war torn country?
  18. Well, I guess Israel is taking off the kid gloves. Seems they don’t really give a hoot anymore. In a reversal of attack methods Palestinian terror goons kill a couple of soldiers for a change and Israel in turn offs a few civilllians. Oh, and surprise surprise, guess what the Palestinians have to say? Negotiations? Talks on de escalating the violence? Parlays on keeping some things (like civillians) off limits on each sides targeting initiatives? LOL, not a chance. The old familiar vowes of revenge as they are mad now. Before, they were only kinda mad but now they are real mad. Ooooo, like what are they going to do? Kill Israeli women and children? That would be something new!! At the scene of course, nobody connects the terrorists car with the damage done. Better not lay any blame where it lies (with the militant that brings death home to his family and neighbors) but rather with the Israelis who track these animals down to where they hide amongst women and children. Hmmmm, isn’t that kinda what you guys have been doing to them for decades there Erekat?. And the good news: http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?t...storyID=3651621
  19. Also welcome to the forum Saladin! Good to have you with us. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but history really means squat these days. I highly doubt that four million Israelis are going to up and move somewhere even if Perry Mason, Johnny Cochran and F Lee Baily showed up with an eviction notice signed by Sharone himself. Simply put, they are there now and they ain't going anywhere man. A harsh reality and one that our aborigionals have had to deal with for over a hundred years. Now as for going home and getting fair re embursement for Grand Pappy's farm, that is another question. If Israel did not feel threatened and felt that it was in her interest to offer money in return for peace then it just might happen. Get a few bucks and get to go home and maybe even buy a piece of land where you came from. Now the problem. As long as Palestinians keep killing kids and people on buses in Israel they won't trust any of you to go into the country much less talk about things which I have just spoken to you about. Even if Moses himself appeared with flaming stone tablets saying it was your land it wouldn't mean a damm thing to a guy who has spent his entire life saving for the house he just built in Eillatt. So, scince they are not going anywhere and refuse to let you wipe them off the face of the earth you may as well call on your brothers to stop the suicide bombing so you can start negotiations. Reality sucks dude. Hope you get back home soon. Oh, one more thing, that rat Yasser, he's half your problem, should get rid of him.
  20. Idiots. The whole meaning is not religious. It could be read as; For brevity it is said In today's Liberal God hating terrorist loving bafflegab it could work with a disclaimer * controlled by none except a higher being and ; If there is none then we are under nothing. ** those who wish to quote the disclaimer may do so in a separate moment provided by the class administrator (at his/her discretion) either before or after the pledge is recited.
  21. The two key issues he was voted in on were the economy and those DLs. These were the reason that Democrats crossed party lines to turf Davis and put Arnie in. I doubt if he will have much problem pushing that one through. Matter of fact it will slide quite easily I imagine. If it does not then he simply just goes to the people on it and gets it approved to the chagrin of the Dems.
  22. I agree, many are opposed to it. However, history has shown that Israel does return land once a peace settlement is made. Violent clashes with settlers in the Sinai Penninsula in the eighties are testament to that so it is not to be said that the Governments policy is to keep the land. An interesting thing has happened with the escalation of suicide attacks and that is that many who were for giving land for peace have now given up on dealing peacefully with Palestinians and moved to the right.
  23. Thank you for that enlightening correction Lonius. Hope you had a great weekend. Now, back to regular ranting.
  24. Yes, but it seems like this is an offhand quip when with a little expenditure you can achieve greater protection for you men and still accomplish the same goals. To have a Humvee augmented with sandbags/iron plating and Bison APCs (both afford protection and viewability) is too good for our own troops? I know that the MND has now, upon advice from the commander of the forces in Afganistan aquiessed to sending armored vehicles in light of what has happened. Unfortunately, because nobody thinks that it was importent enough to have transport capibility for heavy equipment such as this it will take over a month to get there. What I am trying to say here Riff is that anybody with half a brain knows that you can have all that which you and I desire (viewability, a measure of protection and mobility) if you are willing to put out the money. Our government knows what should have been done and the proof is in the sending of this equipment. The proof that they have placed our troops in harms way with added risk unecessarily is also shown by the fact that we have no way of getting the stuff there. I am sure that in the meantime our soldiers get a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that there is a reason why they have an even added danger level while in this country. We all know that they should already have the equipment and that it be standard support for any mission in which our men carry guns. We also know that the reason they don't have it today or even next week is that the government, among other money wasting/vote buying shams decided to do crap like give grants to Quebec writers so that they can write "Dumb Blonde Joke Books." You can't tell me that in any scenario that a joke book or lingere store take precidence over giving our guys the equipment they need to give themselves a reasonable amount of protection in a hostile theater.
  25. Yep, a racist from the land of peace. Only the headgear separates him from a skinhead. It does not behove this bloated septic system to actually blame any of the problems he and his holy brothers have on antiquidated political systems or on fact that the religion itself keeps them from progressing into the 21st century of prosperity by keeping a medival thought and culture as the focal point for their life. A religion that was formed in a desert when there were less than a few million people who werre across the earth at that time. He seems to miss the point that today there is more than six billion people and things are not the same. Better to blame it on the evil Jew. As an aside, I didn't know that the Jew invented all forms of politics. For example I thought democracy was brought forth from ancient Greece. Socialism from Carl Marx and so on. This is another of the little devious things that racists do; rewrite history. He and his kind should call a spade a spade and shave their heads and carve a swastika on their forehead.
