  1. How much would it cost if a Nuclear weapon was detonated in Paris, London, Tel Aviv or New York I wonder. Talk about a worldwide depression. A Billion a month is a steal.
  2. Really. I suppose I have to repost for Riff as well. The US deals with every country on the planet. American goods are found everywhere. Is it any wonder that among the two hundred some odd countries in the world that it deals with, some of them are dictatorships? Which ones are begnign and which ones will pose a threat thirty years from now Riff? Comon, you know exactly which ones don't you?
  3. Exactly, where are the WMD? He had them in the nineties, even Ted Kennedy, Clinton and the rest of the Left said so. Where are they now? What hole in the ground, what country, what terrorist organisation has them? Every Leftie is so busy trying to misquote Bush that they forget the fact that they did exist and they don't have a clue where they went.
  4. I used to work in the oilfeilds in AB. Much of the oil is not fuel grade stuff. They piped a lot to the states for road building and making plastic. From what I understand oil from the ME is a higher grade.
  5. I have no argument about that. I am sure most people if not all know that as well. However, where do Arabic speaking/acting/looking gents habituate? Finnish Saunas? Chinatown? They habituate in Arab communities and countries. Now most people cannot speak Arabic so right there is a problem sorting the good from the bad. Minority communities and the Arab countries like to keep things to themselves and do not fully become transparent for us to see what is going on so that is another problem. I have looked into this and maybe you can find some information that I could not but there is a very small amount of support comming from Arab communities other than standard "don't blame us" lip service. In Arab countries they handle terrorism themselves and sometimes the terrorists are part of the communities themselves so are unlikely to turn them in. I did not read in the papers of a large influx of Arab volunteers to act as interpreters or spies which may account for some of the resentment the average person feels. They mutter how Islam is not to blame and then say they don't know anything. Thanks for the help.
  6. This amount would easily fit into two semi trailers if configured properly. To drive around with it would not be good for the suspension, roads or tires but just trying to help put the amount into perspective.
  7. Charismatic, honest, knows how to get stuff done and being a "neophyte" is what we need. Unless you think we have the best of the best in politics today. Remembering such wise ones as Mulrooney, Clark, Cretien, Copps, McGlaughlin and all, I'd say time for new blood, less experience at ripping off the people the better.
  8. So if I go our and beat up an old lady, shoot your wife, run over your child and bomb an Ottawa bus I am a warrior? No Steve, a murderer. Anyhow, all this is pretty moot. Just read the paper, they now have a new Palestinian PM, Qureia. Quote: Bush. "And the people of the Palestinian territory must understand if they want peace, they must have leadership who are absolutely 100% committed to fighting terrorism." Makes sense to me, the price you have to pay for peace is that you don't get to murder kids anymore. Bummer. Anyhow, here is what the new leader of the Palestinian people Qureia said to that: "This is a regrettable statement that does not serve the peace process." Then he went on to say how Rat face is a real partner and all. Keep building that wall Israel, nothing has changed much on the Palestinian side. In other Arab countries it sure has. The Israeli flag was flown in Dubai for the first time on the occasion of the 58th conference of the governors of the International Monetary Fund yesterday. http://www.arabicnews.com/ansub/Daily/Day/...2003091714.html
  9. Lewis MacKenzie. Painfully honest and the only people that hate him are ineffectual Liberals.
  10. - Liberty. They have 25 million of them in country. Just help in showing them what freedom is. "Failure is not an option." - Bush, reffering to the rebuilding of Iraq and installing a democratic government. "I cannot believe that any European who was opposed to the war in Iraq can imagine it's in Europe's interests for Iraq to fail," Nicholas Burns, the U.S. ambassador to NATO, urging allies not to turn their backs on Iraq Tuesday. http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/20...ng-troops_x.htm KK The heavy lifting is done. Sure it's dangerous but to turn away now is morally wrong. If you do not like the US then at least look at it from the Iraqi person's perspective. The help of the world for a short period and they get democracy and a shot at a great life, in return the world gets a strong, self governed industrialized member country that will be a stabilizing force in the region. A shining example of non Zionist prosperity and the beginning of what may be a de-infesting of terrorist breeding conditions the world over. If the US has to go it alone then it may take years, lots of money and more death than it would be if they had help but they know it is the right thing to do. To not help now is to risk terrorism in the future, all for the sake of being in a snit over the US going it without the blessing of the UN.
  11. Might be happening without Israel. http://www.arabicnews.com/ansub/Daily/Day/...2003091912.html Seems there was a little altercation between the good ol' boys in Gaza. This came from an Arabic news source so I'm not sure of the reality of it but who knows?
  12. It would seem that these Palestinians want a cease-fire after all. Note that the Islamic group also wants the destruction of Israel but for now will stop shooting only to later kill everybody when it is a little more convenient for them or the weather improves I suppose. In either case how would you deal with this? http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/ShArt.j...l?itemNo=312743 “Here are the texts of the statements released yesterday by Hamas and the Islamic Jihad groups in Gaza City and by Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement in the West Bank, declaring the beginning of a truce to halt attacks against Israelis.” “Fatah declared a six-month truce, while the Islamic groups' cease-fire is three months. Also, the Fatah statement notes the goal of a Palestinian state in all of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Jerusalem, while the Islamic groups demand an end to Zionist occupation of Palestinian land, which can be interpreted as including Israel. The Islamic groups do not accept a Jewish state in the Middle East.” KK As for Arafat not having control over these thugs that is good. Not being a leader he therefore can be taken out like a common terrorist. And not having anybody in control verifies my contention that they are all just violent hoods rather than a people united with a noble purpose such as co existence with it’s neighbors, care of it’s own but rather destruction of anything they do not like. In reality however, he is in charge. It is a screwed up Arab kind of in charge but he is the man. If he wasn't you want to know one of the terrorist groups would be the spokesman instead of he.
  13. "We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." -- Ted Kennedy, September 27, 2002 What a drunken idiot. Now look what this clown is saying. http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/09/18/...iraq/index.html Thursday, September 18, 2003 Posted: 10:27 PM EDT (0227 GMT) Kennedy's 'Texas' remark stirs GOP reaction Kennedy speaks to reporters Thursday: "There was no imminent threat. ... This whole thing was a fraud." WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Ted Kennedy's comment Thursday to The Associated Press that the Iraq war was "made up in Texas" provoked no White House response but did stir a Republican official. In the AP interview, Kennedy questioned how much of a threat Saddam Hussein had posed in the U.S. fight against terrorism. "There was no imminent threat. This was made up in Texas, announced in January to the Republican leadership that war was going to take place and was going to be good politically. This whole thing was a fraud," the Massachusetts Democrat told the AP. He said Bush officials employed "distortion, misrepresentation, a selection of intelligence" to justify the war.
  14. That's pretty silly Nova. Hamas is not controlled from a headquarters of any kind. They operate out of their homes and cafes. To take them out there would cause unecessary casualties (something the Palistinians would never consider trying to avoid) That is why the goons that are their leaders are taken out when they pop up comming out of houses and driving in their cars. Taking away Arafat's trappings of legitimacy bit by bit is a graded punishment. The alternative is taking him out, or just flattening the whole country. Surely this is better than that. As for hampering the effectiveness to stop Hamas? You make it sound like terrorists are a totally separate entity. They are your brother, cousin, neighbor, not like they are an army apart from society. To stop them all it takes is a single order and somebody that is willing to listen to it. That order can be given by smoke signals or a scrawled note on toilet paper, you don't need any complicated infastructure to do that.
  15. I only said what I saw, that was that care being taken for minor spills. What happens when a hundred and fifty thousand cubes of crude spill out of a tanker off Africa I cannot say. Given the fact that my experience was well away from cameras and evironmentalists and a major spill is in the spotlight you can figure what you want. Far as I'm concerned and know they did right where I was.
  16. Sure, but I'm talking about a place where no tree huggers hang out at. Just us working shmoes, black bears and cariboo. I'm also talking about amounts like say fifty gallons not the Exxon Valdez
  17. And his job was to find them or verify that they had been destroyed. He did not. Saddam did not prove that the WMD material he posessed in the nineties was destroyed and hampered all attempts at inspections. He played a little game and lost his gulag. Maybe Blix believed in the tooth fairy too but facts are facts and there was no evidence of the WMD known to exist before had been destroyed. No orders for nulifying agent, no transport requisitions, no rations for the thousands of troops, no holes in the ground to inspect. Nothing. So smart guy, the key question is what has happened to the WMD? With a moniker like Bushmustgo you have got to have an inside track here. Where should they start digging to find the destroyed Chemicals and Biological agents? What office should they search and in which drawer are the documents that prove they have been shipped to third parties unknown to us? They were there and are either there still, destroyed or someplace else now so where are they or what happened to them? A defense mechanism. LOL. Reaching pal, still, where are they? La la land I suppose is your answer?
  18. I agree Riff but my point is that I don't care what somebody does and what they want to classify themselves as. If it doesn't harm me then whatever floats their boat. However these two clowns want to act like they got snubbed for the prom and then get in an immature snit just makes me think that all this stuff is merely grandstanding and now I am supposed to take them seriously? What if you and your wife were going to the US and the customs officer said that he wanted you to fill out separate forms and you raised a stink? First of all you wouldn't, like who cares? And second of all after that you would be most likely be subjected to extra attention. OK, Mr and Mrs Jeff and Bill Smith, you are married, now get lost, you're idiots. Furthermore, to place these bitchy goodbuddies in the same boat as Rosa Parks is somewhat unrealistic. Rosa could not live and function as a human being for her color while these guys can, they only want to have a relationship recognized. Their life and livelyhood is not threatened in any way.
  19. I don't know if this helps any but I used to haul crude oil in Northern AB for BP Amocco. If there was a spill and breach of the berm at any of the wells it was considereed pretty serious stuff. The contaminated soil was hauled out to a site about twenty miles away and dumped into a chunk of land where they did something to it. I was told that with the added chemicals and whatever and a decade or two it was then safe. For what and how safe I know not, only that it cost one hell of a lot of money and a lot of manpower to do this. I also know that there is a lot of tree planting going on out therre and in BC. Great place for an eighteen year old to make four or five thousand a month. How effective it is I also know not and can only testify that they (Loggin Companies) are going through the motions.
  20. Hi Craig. You have to cut him a bit of slack though. He had advisors that were up to date on military matters, did they tell him this or did they advise a more realistic srategy and he didn't listen? A governor from Arkansas is not a military genius and should not be expected to be.
  21. is the only thing relavent to the post. Are there any suggestions that you might have, besides this half sentence, that would be constructive? Once again, I appologise to Craig for answering for him. No, that sentence says it all. In order to be scaled down it has to be made effective. Would you rather it be made larger and more ineffective and cumbersome? Of course not. I would further suggest that third world nations be cut out of any form of voting until they show reforms of some kind. Rather than putting Lybia as chairman of the human rights I would give it certain points for admitting resposibility for Lockierbie and such. China loses points for human rights and so on and forth. Stop giving carte blanche to nations that are scum just to make them feel good.
  22. The use their sonar to write into rocks! And have dumbed down agents like Nova Satori to be a pain in the ass and drive us crazy? I don't. I will however look into it. Get back to you later on this.
  23. Do I still have time to get in on this money exchange with you? How many on par Canadian $ are you willing to take?
  24. Funny you should mention that. Just last night I was talking with my daughter (Kruella Kittee) and she asked me if there was anything smarter than humans. I told her that I thought dolphins were. However they can't use their fins to write or record thoughts. I also told her that like her they were hard to get out of the pool to get anything done and that every time they try to build something it floats away. Timing is everything Nova. We humans are able to control our environment to make time (among other things) to seemingly slow down or speed up enough to accomplish what we think.
