Bush's Judicial Nominees
KrustyKidd replied to righturnonred's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Dems can't handle the fact that their 'Poster People' stereotypes might actually have common sense and be Republicans. They then fear that they will become "Poster People" for the right. The three 'Cs' Clarence, Condelissa, Colin, they take away every racist argument they wish they could throw. -
They do, a few of the guys I served with went to Viet Nam and a couple were in the French Foreign Legion (albeit AWOL from the CAR LOL). You want to serve your country serve it. Governors General Footguards or some other high level diplomatic showpiece but the question was the metaphoric removal of the and what we thought this young fellow should do. As an individual for experience, adventure and exposure I would go US. Fifteen years ago I would not consider it but being a witness to the degeneration of our forces how could any with a sound mind say 'join ours' unless of course they must be Canadian or nothing? BTW, "Military Service is about serving your Country?" This is true when a country remembers your service and backs you up. Witness WO Stoppford and how quick they threw him him to the wolves, Korean War Vets, WWII vets. And start calling "Warriors Day" Warriors Day. Ya, when a country is there for them the soldiers wil line up in droves to serve it. A personal one; Rememberance Day 1989 me and another close friend talked to our RSM about going to the grave of a friend who had been killed on duty in Egypt in '79 (10th year aniversary) He gave us the time but could not give us a car, hotel, meals or such. No big deal. We went anyhow, a day's travel and had his name put on the roster for the fallen. The first one in Georgetown On for UN duty. The legion gave us a honor guard at a private ceremony at the grave site but the thing that I remember was the fact that the miltiary didn't even give us a STINKING WREATH! Don't talk to me about countries to serve.

I see the logic just fine. The term 'The enemy of your enemy is your friend' is retarded logic at best. I believe history proves this, especially now. Agreed, unfortunately, we all live in "the now" and must deal with present problems "immediately" rather than sit back and muse how the US foreign policy has finally come home to roost and how we should have backed less repressive regiemes such as Israel? As for learning a lesson I can say with certainty that we have. Witness the Billions of dollars being pumped into Iraq in the form of aid and construction rather than simply bombing the place into an underground parkade.

I was in the army for twenty years. I specialised in communications as a radio operator, went Airborne and became a Pathfinder. I had a lot of fun, worked hard, played hard and made some damm good friends. Back around 92 it started getting really stupid with more attention on being politically correct rather than being a team effort. More people were worried about their "career" rather than their comarades. After fifteen years of soldiering, mountain climbing, parachuting, scuba diving, skiing, peacekeeping, helecoptering and travelling the world I was asked by my men how they might become like me. I told them to go Airborne but knew that those days were over as the Regiment at that time was being disbanded and budget cuts were minimizing a lot of the active postings and more adventurous activities. My advice to you is to join the American Forces as a Combat Engineer. Not as a career but for say eight or ten years to recieve the full extent of the experience. As an Engeneer you have full exposure to the front line but actually walk away with enough experience to apply to a civillian life. Both Officer and Non Commisioned Officer can do this, why not twenty? You may find you love it and never want to leave but if I did it again I would have gotten out long before it became stale. I like to do different things and scince I left in the mid ninties I have had a full life as well. The falicy of doing it for God and Country is a rare occurence, at best it is for personal honor and the ability to serve something greater than yourself. In times of strife you fellow soldiers are far more reason than Country or God to serve well. Remember, if you are doing it for country be prepared to be disappointed, this country changed faster than the military ever could.

Also somewhere it said that it takes significant energy and time to disprove one. One that say, a bus driver dreamed up one afternoon.

I think that you are refering to a rumor mill article that appeared in some leftist rag. Here is another or maybe it's the source of yours. PROVIDE YOUR OWN DAMM LINKS Ever wonder why Kay never spent a lot of time checking those tubes out? Because they know they mean squat! Here you are playing tiddly winks on a chess board while the whole world is passing you by. I have to admit that even I fell for the WMD thing last year, but the first clue should have been when they started talking about "Regieme Change" rather than "Disarmament." Here you are saying Kay this, and Kay that and how he has not found WMDs when any thinking human knows that he is not looking for them. Rather he is documenting all the nasty stuff so that it can be secured and cleared out in preparation for a US pullout in a year or two. He doesn't need the UN for that. In short seeding Democracy was the objective. To make a prosperous Iraq a symbol of what democracy can bring to the Middle East sets a positive example of a good life so that a potential terrorist would think twice before blowing himself up for Allah. As well, a society where there are rights and freedoms is hardly the type of environment where a Religious Militent is bred. Pretty simple concept. WMD and non compliance and whatever were aids to portray Saddam as the bad guy that he was. It could have been Syria but Assad really didn't have a thirty year history of being an evil dictator like Saddam as he just took over from his dead Pop. He didn't threaten his neighbors, gas his own, flaunt UN regulations after starving his own people for a decade. Saddam was the perfect patsy for Democracy Seeding. Now I'm not absolutely postive but I'm willing to bet that if he had any WMD and had come clean he still would have been in the same postition he is today. Human Rights violations perhaps? A demand for him and half his goons to give themselves up for trial at the Hague? Whatever the case you can be sure that his reaction to any or all scenarios was a given but all had a foregone conclusion. As for Kay, he has found lots. He gave a gereral briefing on what he has found and it is a lot more than Saddam was allowed to have or had declared. Also far more than a widget in a scientists back yard. Read the Voodoo Mumbo Jumbo CK, it won't bite. May even get that gray pudding bubbling in that head. Before you dismiss him out of hand you may want to read his report which also strengthens the anti war crowds claim that Saddam did not have WMD. From how I interpret his report it is fairly well balanced. It is however, "Document Mumbo Jumb" and I know that sends you for the garlic string but try to make a cross from chopsticks or something and read it. Note that he did not say "We found a rusted tube in a back yard somewhere." No, he had discovered "DOZENS OF RELATED ACTIVITIES AND SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF EQUIPMENT." This portion of the report was declasified, when he gives his full report in a year you might get to peek at what the actual item breakdown is for all the little things that make up the whole are but for now he is getting a job done. Not providing reading entertainment for you. He didn't say that Iraq was thinking abuot long range missiles but rather "WERE WORKING HARD" to develop same. This is not a thing found in somebody's backyard but rather a whole infastructure set up to decieve. BTW, he has looked at 10 weapons sites and still has 120 to go. The chances of finding WMD are still there but at this point we all know that they never presented the threat Bush would have us believe they did. Who knows, maybe he thought he was telling the truth as Saddam certainly gave all appearances of an Evil Dictator who was hidding something.

Right Turn On Red found your link. Arafat's Money It's a little different than what you were presenting but interesting for sure. Sorry for doubting you but you really have to supply links with claims when questioned CK.

She has admitted over and over she is no hero. Heck, if any normal Joe or Jane can make something off this war then let em! Lord knows everybody else is. As for Miller, I'll bet he gets a bit more recognition now. Hell, 7 Iraqi sodiers?! That's Sgt York material.

The Making Of A Political Animal Airs Tonight
KrustyKidd replied to Nixx's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Wow. It looks intriguing, but I have to say that we sure are a bunch of losers if we have such lame politcions that we have to "invent" pretend ones to have something to focus our intrest on. -
Like I do on many other days, today I will pause for a few moments to REMEMBER that the freedoms I enjoy came at a terrible price for many brave men and women. To those who paid the ultimate sacrifice I pledge I will not forget them. To those who are amongst us I will give vocal thanks for their efforts in holding back the tide of tyranny that has tried time and time again to enslave us. To those who continue this struggle I pray Godspeed for I know that they will need to be strong and villigent. Evil has not left the world, it waits, lurking like a thief, a sickness that preys on those who forget that freedom is worth everything and if lost, might never be found again.

Long way to go I think. BARBIE HAS NOTHING ON THESE HOT BABES Oh my goodness! Those filthy whores! Better stone them to death. Hang on, they are a drawing, well if they were not then they should be stoned to death. As for the boys kissing the drawings, well, boys will be boys, albeit unable to control their primitive nature but no sense in placing blame where it lies. Better to place a drop cloth on the girls ..... er ... drawings of girls.

No Riff, I wouldn't even go that far. We tell them the info in general, if they are interested we get him home then release the man to their questioning here on Canadian soil. I also do not know if he is guilty or innocent but I will tell you one thing. The fact that this guy is alive says a lot of how much a terrorist he is. Also, a country like Syria, when you are in jail you are some lucky to get out alive with all your limbs. This man, once (and if) proven innocent will be a millionaire courtesy of our useless Government Foreign Affairs Department.
-
That's right Lost. I remember back a few years ago that we couldn't get rid of that scum Charles Ng. Everybody knew he was guilty but no, we coddled that SOB for over a year. And this guy, a Canadian, we throw to the dogs.

Who Should Replace Bush
KrustyKidd replied to Alliance Fanatic's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Bush's ratings down? Yes they are. Here is a quick piece from USA today that blames it on the economy. Try to remember that the economy is at this moment going up, up and up. Jobless rate going down down and down. RATINGS Here are some sample ratings from other presidents. Not that none are sky high or down in the tubes. Then again none are in the middle of a war which is separating the country into distinct camps. MORE RATINGS Overall, I would say that Bush's 52% isn't too bad considering that when that polll was taken the economy was supposed to be a big millstone around his neck. Wonder what they are right now? -
Missed the show CK. I have proof that you are wrong but you must pay a $50 fee to the site to see it. Guess I won this round.
-
CK posts things without proof. He has told us that there is a global conspiracy by Jews to keep Muslims down and did not provide any proof of such, not even enough to counter or start a discussion, now he is saying there is secret bank accounts set up by Israel for their enemy - Arafat. I would be interested to learn about this as would we all. Either provide some details or shut it down. As for your comment that you don't even know who is right, yes that's it! Who is and who is not is not the point. You have four million people entrenched in a land and a few million others who want that land. Neither side is going anywhere. Time to get together and figure it out. However, on both sides you have the ultra right working against the peace process. The difference being is that on the Palestinian side you have leadership working against it.
-
Just wondering. Outside of you, Arafat and Sharone, who else knows about these "secret" accounts?
-
It was "By Way Of Deception." by that ex Mossad agent who imigrated to Canada. He told of how they had plenty of opportunities to whack the Rat but didn't for the simple reason that he is relatively harmless compared to what could take his place. Sorry if I said the word "like" as it is very inappropriate here. BTW, that book is about fifteen years old now. I don't get out much.
-
CK!!!!! You actually said somthing that I agree with! Actually two things, Arafat is not the root cause and the point that Israel likes him. Yes, there could be worse and somebody more effectual. I read a book, I think it was "Way of Deception" and in it the Ex Mossad guy said that they liked him for that reason and also that he wasn't a flamboyant type of leader. Slept with the troops - that kind of thing. Anyhow, at this moment in time Arafat is a liability to the Peace Process. If terrorism stops the Zionist scum has to respond or face censure from the US.
-
And the dictator Arafat who lurks in the wings unwilling to let personal control go to the people. Lord knows, they are too dumb to be able to make a choice.

Who Should Replace Bush
KrustyKidd replied to Alliance Fanatic's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Dean is probably the best the Dems have and they screwed him over nothing. His comments were in essence saying that he wanted die hard Republican voters like "Guys in pickups with confederate flags to vote for him." First; there are lots of guys in pickups with confederate flags that vote republican. It is a voting block and he pointed to it. He did not say he was going to become like them, cater to them, expouse their beliefs but simply wanted them to vote for him. Would the Left rather they vote for Bush? Now here they are on Dean's case and this is where he makes his only mistake. Instead of standing his ground and looking at everybody accusing him of being racist for misunderstanding his remark he appoligises! For nothing! This proves he is an idiot. He is supposed to sell himself to all groups, white, black, Republican or whatever and of course he has to try and sell himself to "guys in pcikups with confederate flags" otherwise they will vote for Bush. What does this coward do? Appoligises for the ignorance of his detractors. He should have told them to get stuffed instead and that America is for All Americans and he wanted to become a candidate for All Americans. Then countered; Why they think America is only for a select few, is that their platform, to leave out vast voter blocks? I think you are right. Both sides seem to have those. I will make an observation and say 'None Of The Above' to the poll and add that anybody from Bush's close staff will do in his place as I think he is not the one making the decisions anyhow. Colin Powell would be good, stay away from Dick though. I'll reiterate what I said; Bush is only the front man, the empty suit, it's the rest of the crowd that make the show go on. And I think they are doing a great job. When you talk about decisions and stuff I don't think for a minute that Bush does it on his own. -
I don't mean to spam the board here but it is a rather slow day and I think this post relevant to the turn this discussion has taken. To say that Bush errently said there was WMD in Iraq may be true however it still remains to be seen. In the meantime though, I would have those who keep asking "Well, where is the WMDs?" to maybe direct their questions to people less busy than Bush is. The following rogues gallery is the Left. They were all privy to the same information as Bush. Please direct some of your mindless rhetoric to the likes of Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Jaques Chirac, Senator Kennedy and such. I know that they would rather forget that they had made these comments, but might be able to tell you more than Bush as they contiually say he is doing a rotten job. I take that to mean they know more than he.

Bush Adminisration Dosen't Care About Troops
KrustyKidd replied to Crusader's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The Government putting lives at risk?????!!!! I'm suprised you people all missed this one. Seems that the "Bi Partisan" committee run by Pat Robertson (a republican) has been for some time now getting the gears put to them secretly by Rockerfeller (A democrat.) This memo in which the democrates in this agency are communicating with each other is basiclly saying that they will play along with Robertson until they have enough dirt to reach critical mass and to take over the government. When confronted with this treasonous memo rockerfeller was not concerned that he had been caught trying to take advantage of the war in Iraq as a way of unseating the Republiccans (and theorecticly could be shot as a traitor) but simply wanted to know where the leak in his office was. The reason why I put this in here with these Iraq postings is simple; the Democrats care even less about the troops in Iraq. Matter of fact, they hope more will die so their chances are better. ROCKERFELLER'S A TRAITOR Please take a look through the news to find this in the paper of your choice. This really happened while they were supposed to be gathering intelligence on how to win a war, not helping the US lose so they stand a chance of getting elected. -
Well Riff, once again the US is not playing your game. Their intent is not to vindicate their actions but rather to secure the country so that they can leave. This is the priority for them. For anti Bush types their priority is proving Bush wrong and so the two are on totally different playing feilds. If I remember right the anti Bush types were talking a few months ago how evidence was going to be planted and all. As you can see, it has not been. The search is done in a methodial scientific manner by an accredited UN former weapons inspector. And yes, if he did come back with that answer then this would be over and impeachment would probably begin. Don't try to side track this discussion. That is a whole other thread Riff. Read the report before you trap off Riff. I have also included another for you. It is not an empty lab here and there but a whole undeclared infastructure devoted to producing WMD and their delivery systems. Tell me Riff, if Kay ventured into Canada what would he find? Answer, not one hundredth the amount of shit he is finding there so don't try to tell us all that "poor innocent Saddam" was being picked on for no reason. Actually this report was touted by the anti war types to great heights because of the fact no WMD were found. If anything, for an argument of the US being wrong it is more valusable to the anti war types. As for the ridiculous statement that Saddam sat and did nothing for 12 years you forget that he hid, opprosed, mis directed, interferred, threatened, continued to add to his deception in front of the world that he had no WMD or Materials. I ask my question again Riff scince you didn't answer it before; Why did he do this and is this in keeping with the spirit of the UN resolutions against him? Here is Kay's more complete report. It has some intereresting comments. FULL TEXT OF KAY'S REPORT
