Don't worry, we won't be burning fossil fuels in 50 years, so no worries. The projections will fall apart after that.

No, it was disturbing. What war can do to a person and to a country. The battles were living second by second, waiting for the shell with your name on it. Some amazing acting too. I couldn't help but wonder if today's generation could defeat a Hitler. I don't think they could.

  4. Canadian band The Tea Party turns down a million dollar offer from the political movement to buy their domain name. Jeff Martin says the band will "never" meet an offer from the Tea Party because it does not agree with its politics. Martin believes the movement "represents the worst of America ... Intolerance, veiled racism and uninformed opinions".

Neil Young is an American style racist now is he? You know if you just backed off this type of nonsense we might be able to make you some sort of honorary Canuck and then you could be happy.

"I can see what he is saying about increased kindling from hotter drier summers." more baloney. Forest fires are self regulting. Big ones happen when conditions are right: wind, thatch, deadfalls and lightning. Once an area burns, climate change or not, it won't have a big fire for a couple of decades.

When global warming provides more fuel the fires get bigger. Try this if you have a fireplace. build a small fire and then throw in an armful or dead wood and see what happens. Just don't sue me if you burn your house down OK?

"When global warming provides more fuel the fires get bigger.' Really? Global warming means more hot dry weather, right? Trees (the fuel for fires) grow much netter when the weather is wetter. And once any forest burns, it does not burn again easily because the fuel is gone. How then does the new forest germinate again in dry weather? Note that forest fires are good for large mammal populations. The big trees die off, which opens up the bush and allows the small stuff they graz...
