Both good moves. In a league I am in we have a salary cap, and I would have kept Girardi but just because he would be about 1/2 price of Spacek. -
Would you like a trial separation

After maybe we can put the immigrants in internment camps, and anyone who doesn't worship Harper on a kool aid program. -

When it comes to Harper and the Popular vote there is one big oil-soaked problem. That is Alberta. It is overwhelmingly conservative. I haven't seen the actual numbers but I have no doubt that they totally skew the entire argument about the popular vote. Didn't Ducceppe get 10% of the popular vote? Drop Alberta from the equation, and I bet it only effects Chretien's numbers by about 2% but it would drop Harper's by 5% or more. -

UM, more like 80% of the media was SUPPORTING him OPENLY. I wish you conservatives would take off your tinfoil hats when it comes to the media. -
LMAO YOu're calling me "hard-core rightwing"??? LMFAO You might want to talk to Argus and a few other True Blue posters around here. Absolutly hilarious. I must be doing something right. The Right says I'm a Leftwing nut job and the Left says I'm hard-core Rightwing.

Will Dion Resign Tonight?

The Bias media line is pure BS. Just look at how much of the Liberal Media openly supported Harper in this election. -
I don't see the left ever uniting. I think the only people the die hard Liberals and Dippers hate more than the Cons is each other.

A "far left liberal progressive group"? So basically they were part of the "lunatic fringe". Extremism is not the answer in any form. You must be new here. Everything you just said about your "friends" could be used to describe quite a few CPC supporters around here. Disagree with something and you are an idiot. These people think calling you an immigrant is an insult. You really should have watched some of the question periods from the last Govt. The PM and his selected few attack dogs beahved this same way in the House of Commons. Ah religion, the brainwashing of the masses. Don't think for yourself, because there is an allpowerful being out there who will look after you if you just give money to those who are spouting the gospel. I like some of the life lessons but don't tell me that an entity that has the ability to create the universe gives a rat's ass about my daily struggles. Describes perfectly my sentiments about some of the True Blue around here. I would have voted CPC twice now if not for running into them. Sounds like any spoiled univeristy kid who has had everything handed to them their whole life. Like I said you had become part of the "Lunatic Fringe". If you want to be scared try reading some of Harpers old speaches. Yes the Conservative nuts tend to keep things more confined to the back rooms because their ideal society is akin to something out of the dark ages. As for a stranglehold hold on North America, I take it you haven't looked down south much to the evangelical right in the States. I doubt it. Those who want things further to the left generally end up with the NDP. After last night I think you will see the LPC head back towards the political centre. Well no one can help what you see. I do agree that there is a lacking of decent alternatives in this country right now, no matter where you are in the political spectrum. Like I said, read some of Harpers old speaches, and hang around here for a few months. You may not change your mind on who to support but you will learn that most of what you said you didn't like about your university buddies comes from both the Left and Right. -

So if you were pm now, what would you have already done? Even with the exact wording you still would need to know when were you made PM. I would bet a months pay my family has been in this country longer than yours. -

My poor little man..... If you were made PM today you would not have been PM 6 months ago. Therefore you could have done nothing. -

Still no answer eh? Convenient cop out though. Funny this didn't seem irrelevant or stupid when you conservatives were making a HUGE deal about it. And the fact no one seems to be able to answer says what about the forum members? So " I am not running for PM" = "But the Liberals..." ? Oh a conservative questions my intelligence. There's a newsflash. Everyone who isn't on the kool-aid is apparently an idiot. Ofcourse asking a question in both the present and past tense would make sense to you. So I am a kid in school for repeating things over and over, and yet you do the same thing and I can only conclude you are a Rhodes Scholar. See you don't get it. I know we are already responsible for the mortgage. But now we are responsible for $25 billion in property that if defaulted on has to be cleaned and maintained and have it's local taxes taken care of. Plus we are responsible for paying back however much of this $25 billion Harpers little scheme doesn't cover. Also we are investing in realestate while it is at an all-time high in Canada, and we are on the brink of a recession. The main point is that Harper had to give the banks money, after spending weeks telling us "everything is ok". The banks needed cash on hand. So not quite everything was ok was it? -

Oh I totally get it. When home owners default, and trash the house, we the tax payers, are now responsible for the clean up, up keep, property taxes, and any other expenses the proprety might incur, before it can be resold. Then we are still going to be responsible for the next mortgage through the CMHC. Now wait a minute! Didn't someone on here just say the banks needed cash money? They needed to keep their liquidity? Bryan post 61 - Sounds like something had to be done to me. So why were we being fed a line of "everythings ok"? It obviously wasn't ok if the banks needed cash. -

SO when the homeowners are out of work and can't pay..... ....Mortgages are insured.... Yadda yadda yadda Bottom line is if everything was/is ok as Harper has been saying, NOTHING would have needed to be done! -

I like the fist fight Idea! I see Harper and Layton just dummying Dion, to get him out of the way. Then when they square off Harper goes for an overhand right and Layton kicks him in the nuts, then lays a beating on him while poor Steve is trying to decide to protect his head or keep holding onto his pride. Now that Layton is out of breath, Elizabeth May comes from out of nowhere with a 4ft water bong and cracks ol' Jack on the head, knocking him out cold. May is crowned the new PM and within in months the sales of potato chips and cookies for some reason have quadrupled across the country. -

Um.... FEBRUARY 14th??? Poor lad can't even read a calender. Definitly not PM material. He would be showing up to G7 summits 4 months early. HE would be in Vancouver in October waiting to open the Vancouver games. He would be sending out Christmas cards to world leaders in August. Simply shameful. -

I understand quite clearly. Harper has been saying for weeks that "everything is ok" and yet he felt the need to give the banks $25 billion. So is Harper an idiot, full of crap, both or just felt he had to do something because the voters were not liking his "everything is ok" mantra? No matter what the answer, the fact remains, that if EVERYTHING WAS OK, then he would not have needed to do anything. The fact that he had to do something just proves that everything is NOT ok. Which makes what he has been saying for the past few weeks a bunch of horse pucky. Ofcourse with the conservative-blue glasses on, you wouldn't be able to see this now would you? -

Same question to you then since you are apparently so much smarter than the rest of us. What would you have done? What I would have done is, first off tell the idiot reporter to go back to grade 6 and re-learn some english, so he can actually ask some questions that make sense. Then I would have needed to clarify just when it was I was supposed to have become PM. The way the question was asked I would have still been opposition leader 6 months before. Again idiot reporter! Was I PM for the last 2-1/2 years, or simply elected exactly on the day he wants my decisions to be made? The muddiness of the question makes it almost unanswerable without clarification.
