  1. Then answer it wiseguy.
  2. Dude, it is a question that start in the present tense and then switches to the past tense. The question makes no sense. If this question were handed in to an english teacher it would fail. So if you were made PM today, what would you have done 6 monthes ago? The CPC should know better than anyone that there is no limit to rationalization. They rationalized Emerson, Fortier, Income Trusts, questionable election spending, bribery of an MP, shall I go on?
  3. Ofcourse the analysis is correct. It would be nice to have Warren's money to find the right places to invest. But that is not the problem. The problem is that a lot of people lost too much to risk it again. They won't be re-investing in the market anytime soon. For some people their retirements have been destroyed, for others delayed. For some families their kid's college funds are now half gone. The only people who will get richer from this are the rich. Some average guys might get lucky and hit it big but for the most part it will once again be only the people who have lots of money, who will be making the biggest gains.
  4. Love the CPC supporter responses. "non-story" "small potatoes" How it is that our current Prime Minister may have admitted on tape, that he was part of a conspiracy to bribe a member of Parliament in order to bring down the Martin Liberal Govt., is not a story? He admitted he knew an offer was being made. Whether or not it is ever proven that there was a conspiracy or bribe offered, is another story. But just knowing what we know makes me want to get to the bottom of it all. So to me that makes it a story.
  5. Sorry, double thread.
  6. The question itself was stupid. What kind of 4th grade grammar school did this reporter flunk out of? Damn thing nearly confused me. "If you were Prime Minister now..." Notice the present tense of the opening of this question. "If you were Prime Minister now what would you have done......" Would have? As in past tense? Get it together buddy. No freaking wonder your still stuck out east on the affiliate station. Dion asks, "Prime minister 2-1/2 years ago?" "Prime Minister on tuesday?" NO. This rediculous question asks, " If you were made Prime minister right now at this moment what would you have done 6 months ago as prime minister?" Anyone else see the stupidity in this? You just made him PM 2 min ago, then you ask him what he would have done as PM 6 months ago. As I heard the question I thought it sounded strange, then add into it the fact that English is Dion's second language, and it is no wonder he got confused. Rag on it all you want. The journalists I listened to tonight were, for lack of a better term, ashamed of CTV for airing the entire interview, including the redundant opening explaination from the grammar school failure of a reporter. Dion asked to start over and that usually means everything before the restart is left on the cutting room floor. The journalists said they had been through this themselves several times and thought this looked very badly on the CTV.
  7. Actually I was responding to: Like you think there is a double standard of your own double standard. I just think it ironically funny that a party that has lived off of the phrase "But the Liberals..." actually feels the need to come out and say "Well Harper is getting attacked so why shouldn't Dion?" You guys justify everything you do because the Liberals have done it first. Bunch of copycats if you ask me. Whatever, it just follows the childish behaviour of this administration. I guess it is wrong to expect anything different from it's most ardent supporters.
  8. Just the irony, of the typical CPC response, I suppose. You try and justify everything by pointing out that someone else is/has been doing it. Something more expected from a 10yr old but it has been the CPC MO since taking power.
  9. Hmmm..... Today the dollar has fallen almost 4 more cents, the TSX is down almost 700 points, but I am just pulling this out of my arse. Harper is right, nothing wrong with the economy. Go out and buy some stock, because when your full-time job is scuttled there will be plenty of part-time jobs you can work to pay the bills. Ya about those September job gains. 107,000 jobs created, 97,000 of them part time. Overall However, we have lost 167,000 manufacturing jobs since the CPC took office. But no worries, herr Harper says everything is A-OK!
  10. LMAO You are one of the last people who should be bringing up "what is good for the goose is good for the gander", after defending the CPC every step of the way as they pulled the same stunts you crucified the Liberals for doing.
  11. Um, ya. Atleast it is a plan to take some kind of action. Not sit back and watch as peoples retirement savings are destroyed as the market continues it's freefall. THe same could be said about Harper, either having a hidden agenda or being out to lunch. Just how are people supposed to reinvest when their portfolio's are worth mere pennies of what they were 3 months ago? Only the rich have the money to invest. Oh wait those are Harpers favorite people, no wonder he is out of touch. If you are going to sink your money in to the market right now, I would hold onto enough to pay your rent next month cause you will likely need it. This crash is not near over.
  12. So the actions he has said he will take if he becomes elected, something he has sort of "planned" out, is not a plan? OK, well I will listen to MR. Harper then and sink my savings into the market because Now is a good time to buy cheap stocks.
  13. It could be the pitch of the person talking. Some people I can hear quite well while other people's voices are almost inaudible. Both may be speaking at the same volume but due to the pitch of their voice I can hear one far better than the other. And yes I do think people are that stupid. I have witnessed more stupidity around here than I care to remember. From my perspective stupidity knows no political boundaries.
  14. The guy has trouble hearing. I have been suffering through some hearing loss myself lately, and I have a hard enough time understanding what is being said in English let alone if someone tried talking to me in French.
  15. And I've got a box of golf balls to prove it!!!
  16. Biased Liberal Media eh? Who is it that really needs the tinfoil hats around here?
  17. Nah..... This is how he deals with guys like you. Personally I prefer a more cereberal approach.
  18. Sure brought out the attack dogs with this one. I understand. Civil liberties arbitrarily taken away. Not allowed to vote. Not allowed to addres the HoC, or Media as an elected offical. oops! Got confused there for a second. So according to people who have responded to his quote, for the most part, it appears they feel it is OK to limit a citizen's, who happens to be an immigrant, right to vote. My question to them is: Which group of citzens would be the next one to not be given the right to vote? If this group is not allowed to vote becaue you feel they have undue loyalty to a certain party, what are you going to do to the next group that supports the opposition? FYI: It is sh!t like this, that stops me from voting Conservative.
  19. lol Crap. Riding is not a swing riding. Damn you Van Loan.
  20. Ummm....You do understand that the Clovis people, like the spear tip that gave them their name, were of European origin, right?
  21. The CPC behaviour in the HoC makes them/Harper a bully. Suing anyone who questions their actions makes them/Harper a bully. Putting a gag on his MP with the exception of a few attack dogs makes Harper a bully. Harper couldn't strike or strangle a protestor. He would have the RCMP keep any protestors well out of camera range and arms length. Harper only metaphorically gives the rest of Canada the finger when he dumps billions into Quebec to try and buy votes.
  22. I take it you never watched a single Question Period in the HoC. The behaviour of the CPC was nothing more than that of a schoolyard bully.
  23. Vancouver company - Toronto conference, ok I get it.
  24. Not a nice man? IF you have watched any of the question periods in the HoC since he has been in power you would see that statement is not giving him enough credit. Harper and his inner circle behave like a bunch of spineless schoolyard bullies who whenever caught rat out the other guy for doing something similar. "B-b-b-but the Liberals....." Puh-lease! I think saying "He is not a nice man." is flattering for Harper, considering his and his party's actions since taking power.
  25. The gun registry has nothing to do with preventing you from owning a gun. IT is a tool for law enforcement so that if they have to come to arrest you they know in advance that you have firearms on the property. As for dismantling the registry, read my sig.
