ALL EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ
Who's Doing What? replied to jbg's topic in The Rest of the World
I agree. As I was reading the article I couldn't help but notice that if you replaced "Muslim" with "Jew" and "Jew/Jewish" with "German" it could have been one of Hitler's own tirades. -
Ready for a Spring Election?
Who's Doing What? replied to SamStranger's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Cutting the GST for the rich does me no good. Cutting my personal income tax, gets my attention. Raising Greenhouse gases by 33%? Oh right this is the very same Liberal govt. that was in power for the 90's. The change in leadership is meaningless. I just hope I have enough personal wealth to afford this cancer strategy. My friends can't wait to get thier first cheque. I think they are going to buy beer and pot, and maybe go to Harvey's for dinner. They send their thanks Stevie. Well murderers and pedophiles shouldn't be allowed to breathe let alone vote, but an overcrowded expensive prison system doesn't work either. This issue is dead but go ahead and wail away. It seems I am witnessing a culture of entitlement with the CPC right now. Like Harper feels he is entitled to do whatever the hell he wants. You know like strip the right of free speech from his party members. As for accountability... Dave Emerson anybody? What a nice statement. Becareful or the women will be after the vote. Thank you for reducing wait times. When I have enough money to enjoy them I will send you a nice postcard. Hmmm.....Michael Fortier?????????? Kind of touches on that accountability thing again. OK a few things I would like to debate. Rona Ambrose needs a new hair style. Agree or disagree? Belinda was hotter as a blonde. Agree or disagree? Stephane Dion looks like the dad from the old TV show ALF. Agree or disagree? Less than 5% of the population has a clue what "Sustainable Development" means. Agree or disagree? Harper's leather cowboy outfit picture will haunt him for eternity. Agree or disagree? -
Just let me know when I can open a pot cafe. I would make a killing in this town.

How do we fix Canada's Healthcare crisis?
Who's Doing What? replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You are getting into conspirasy theories now. The mark of a true left winger. You are dreamy, wishing, and out of touch with reality. Listen. I'm the only one here bringing reality into this. Healthcare is like insurance, if people are using the services that they don't pay into, then the service DOESN'T WORK. Over the years, the system has slowly crumbled because there are MORE PEOPLE USING IT THAN WE HAVE ENOUGH RESOURCES TO SUPPLY CARE. IT'S THAT SIMPLE. STOP OVER COMPLICATING IT. We don't have enough resources because we don't have the money to expand the system. Why? Because people that are using it that HAVE NOT PAID INTO IT. Healthcare insurance is made to be paid into your whole life, NOT 10 years, NOT 15 years, NOT from 35 years old with jobs here and there until they get old age welfare. It's meant to be paid into your whole life of paying taxes. The same is for the US. When you sponsor in family members from other countries who have not paid into the system, then eventually over time you end up with waiting lists and insuficient care. I agree that there are other problems, but it's not the MAIN problem that is causing our problems. When's the last time you've seen a hospital get built? They don't get built because we can't afford it. I can see where you are coming from in the whole pay-into-the-system point. It is true that when people who haven't payed into the system use $100,000 of services the system is doomed to fail. I am also sure there is a small minority of immigrants who know they are sick or have some degenerative disease and come to this country because of the health care. Perhaps we need to give each person X ammount of free healthcare per year of citizenship. -
Canadian Metropolitan Populations I don't want to get into my specific personal experiences with people across this country, but bar none the ones who think they are getting screwed the most and complain about it the loudest and most often are Albertans. Next time your Cattle industry goes down the tubes, you can keep your mad cow beef. I have never heard anyone say thanks for accepting tons of it in Toronto, and Southern Ontario. Yet apparently all Easterners do is try and screw you. http://www.albertaventure.com/abventure_49...938&doc_id=5563 Yep the first country in the world to increase it's beef consumption during a BSE crisis yet the rest of Canada is out to get you. Time for some prozac in the water system. Cure the paranoia. Not only are we not out to get you, the rest of Canada came together to bail out your beef industry in it's time of need. But hey the rest of Canada doesn't care about Alberta, right? All they want to do is steal your oil money, right? A year before we ate the BSE Crisis beef, eastern Canada helped keep it alive during the last drought. Sending thousands of bales of hay out west to help farmers in need. http://www.tdc.ca/hay.htm http://archives.cbc.ca/IDC-1-70-1407-9044/...gedies/drought/ So the next time you want to get on your soapbox and cry about how the rest of Canada doesn't care about Alberta why not try this first.

Will Stéphane Dion ever be PM of Canada?
Who's Doing What? replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That sounds alot like radical Islam. First the indoctrination/brainwashing then the fanatical response to anything not your own. -
Liberal-Media Love In
Who's Doing What? replied to JerrySeinfeld's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
How pathetic to see the Liberals can't even have a leadership race without the conservatives crying about Left-wing Media bias. Grow up!!! -
Plenty of people live and do well in Toronto with only very limited English. You do not need to be fluent in English(or French for that matter) to succeed. I had a teacher who had worked in a mechanical engineering firm in Toronto. Language of choice in the office? German.

Go to downtown Toronto and you will find out Canada has a multitude of languages. Heck just the different aboriginal languages would put the number into double digits.

Who should be allowed to vote?
Who's Doing What? replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Isn't it obvious that only people with a post secondary education, and the wealthy elite should be allowed to vote. Come on, if we were to let the common people vote, think of the foolishness that would ensue. These people are better served by remaining serfs to those who have the comprehensive skills to decide what is best for them. Even though the educated elite themselves, may have never been exposed to the trials and tribulations of the unfortunate. Who needs gun control when you can simply hire body guards? Who needs healthcare when you can build your own hospital? Who needs social assistance when you can just sell one of your many properties? Who needs daycare when you can import a nanny from over seas? If we let the average slob cast a ballot in any election the country would decay into chaos. Just think, they could vote someone into power who would put a stop to big business exploiting workers or even, heaven forbid, take some taxes off of the wealthy. Yup limiting the vote to the educated and elite is the only way to go. Next thing, you will want women to vote. Good god man, it will bring the country down around our ears. -
So the Qeubecois are a nation. What about the Anglophone nation? The Chinese nation? The Ukrainian Nation? The Russian Nation? The Italian Nation? The Greek nation? The Indian Nation? The Pakistani Nation? The Polish Nation? The German Nation? The Vietnamese Nation? Maybe Women should have their own nation? Surely that would piss of The Muslim Nation? We would need a Jewish nation too. I see a can of worms being open here.

Just imagine what this person would think of a super-soaker. I guess the men are driven mad from all the mosques and temples with the breast-like domed roofs.

Muslim praises Pope "thirst"
Who's Doing What? replied to Leafless's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Maybe. Too bad if you leave the Muslim faith you are subject to death. -
You figure if the cops found a gun without your prints on it in your back yard that was involved in a crime you automatically think they are going to charge you with the murder and throw you in jail? They would ask you about it and when you came up with an alibi, they would move on. BTW, I don't think crackheads have enough brain cells left to think of wearing gloves, so the gun would have prints on it, just not yours. Do you waste as much effort on nitpicking other things in life while completely ignoring the underlying point?

Harper to Propose Constitutional Amendment
Who's Doing What? replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I certainly hope not. I'd just opt out of everything, take my money, and run my province as I see fit. If that's how Albertans feel, then I see no problem with Alberta separating from Canada and running its own affairs any way it sees fit. Might aswell just divide up the territories now and each province can go it's own way. -

What I am saying is not doing something that may be better just because it is more American would make you stupid. It may be better? Who says, you? Sorry if If I laugh at that thought. But you don't really know anyways do you? This is just your oppinion of what would be better. Maybe what we have is already better. Then you would be stupid to follow the American lead wouldn't you? If you love american values and lifestyle so much, I hear they let people move there. Staying somewhere a person isn't happy, when they could go where things are done the way they like them, sounds pretty stupid to me. -
I don't fully believe either side. The conspiracies tend to go overboard and ignore several pieces of information. On the other hand, if you actually look into all the relationships and interconnections betwen all the players in 9/11, and subsequent aftermath, it stinks. Bad. I haven't seen any info to say the Bush/Cheney govt had anything to do with plannig or carrying out 9/11, but they sure as hell exploited it for their own gains after it happened. Ofcourse if you have never looked into the whole Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld-CIA-Pentagon-Haliburton-Brown & Root-Texas Politics spider-web, you may trust these men alot more than I do.

Who's Doing What? replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So what happens to that money? IF 100,000 children in Ontario were supposed to get the suppliment and Ontario opted out ofthe program would the province still recieve $120,000,000 a year, to use as it sees fit? -
I couldn't care less what some RELIGION thinks the defintition of marriage is or should be. Two people commit themselves to each other for life, they are married. Thats it thats all. This is such a stupid debate. Tell me who is getting hurt? This is all over someone not liking the idea of sharing the term "marriage" with gays. I ask you, who the hell are these people to say the term is exculsive to them anyway? OOOO two gay guys got married. "Bar the doors Maggie, there be a gay wedding coming down the street. Quick fetch me my squirrel gun and some rock salt." "In the news today, a downtown church burst into flames during a gay wedding when the rings were exchanged." Seriously how retarded is this. Hell I don't want to get married but according to the law I already am. How stupid is it that two people who want to get married can't, when others have the very same title forced upon them.

So a neighbourhood crackhead shoots someone, ditches the gun in my back yard, I get arrested and have to prove why I should be allowed out? I hope not. I hope there are some minimum guidelines that have to be met by the crown before the reverse onus kicks in. Multiple eye witnesses, video, forensics etc. If this even gets through into law, the crown is still going to have to prove it was the person in custody that actually committed the gun crime. Funny. I thought we already had something like that. You know, what's it called....oh ya, a trial. Before you freak and say I'm a softie or liberal treehugger, I want to say I am all for getting these gangbangers off the streets. Personally, I feel that if it can be proven through UNREFUTABLE means that someone is a murder, rapist, child molester etc. I don't want my taxes going to support their lives in jail. Bulllets are cheap. So is Rope. I would like to see both put to good use.

Harper to Propose Constitutional Amendment
Who's Doing What? replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It's like American so it must be bad. How Canadian. Makes sense to me. The Feds should concentrate on their own responsibilities like foreign affairs and national security instead of always messing around in Provincial jurisdictions. It is the least accountable level of government we have so I don't see it as a bad thing if it meddles less in our everyday lives. No where did I say it was bad? All I said is we were warned he would do it. Makes me wonder what other warnings we as voters should have paid attention to. But hey if it makes me more Canadian to not want to be more American, I'm all for it. Thanks for the compliment. I just can't wait to see what Quebec is going to do with more power. Oh you mean like $1200 a year for every child under 6 isn't buying votes? Or a cut in the GST, that only helps those who have money to spend, ie. the wealthy, isn't buying votes? I'll give you it isn't as underhanded as the sponsorship deal but come on. You can't accuse one party of buying votes and not acknowledge the fact the other party is blatently, openly, doing the same. -
Harper to Propose Constitutional Amendment
Who's Doing What? replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So.....Harper wants to make our constitution more like the American constitution? Weren't we warned about him doing this kind of thing? You know, Americanizng Canada. -
I don't remember if you already have this in place, but what about the jumbled letters and numbers that the bots aren't supposed to be able to read? Can they read them now? A new one I have encountered is a simple question: 'Are you a human?' The default answer is set to 'no'. Other than that monitoring the first post is likely the best solution.
