Liberals Consider Pledge to Hike GGT
Who's Doing What? replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
$290 is still alot more than I am saving with a 1% GST cut. I will say it again, it is a tax break for the rich. I don't spend $29,000 on GST applicable products in a year. -

Why not you have delivered much worse for far less. No. I posted my political test score. Go have a look. Doubtful. Just because you are arrogant doesn't make you right. remember that. I think you are the one in need of psychiatric care, judging from your obsessive behaviour on these boards. -
Liberals Consider Pledge to Hike GGT

Just like it's going a long way to cut people's consumption. This is a non-starter for all but the blindest Liberal partisans. Cut peoples consumption???? Putting more money directly in my pocket will cut my consumption? Taking less tax off you paycheck is going to make people spend less? Whoever your economics professor was he needs to be fired. I'm not even a liberal. What drivel you spew. Which cut? -
Then give us the freaking tax cuts!!!! Oh wait they can't. The CPC has pissed away billions on their "every poor child left behind" policy of simulated daycare. Not to mention the hundreds of millions thrown at Quebec to buy votes. How about giving Arar $10 million. I bet he doesn't care about gas prices anymore. Or all the money left in the Good ole US of A over the soft wood lumber fiasco. It's a damn shame there isn't a decent alternative right now. Although even the dirty lying, stealing, cheating, liberals cost us less money.

Liberals Consider Pledge to Hike GGT

I like the idea. $6 billion could go along way towards my personal income tax. I don't spent $100,000 dollars in a year on GST applicable goods so getting an extra $1000 off my income tax suits me alot more. I said from day one the GST cut is nothing more than a tax break for the rich. Saving money for those who already have lots of it to spend. Cutting the level of the bottom tax bracket makes much more sense. -
I hate to burst your bubble but these type of guys are as apt to be "conservative" as they are "liberal". As much you obviously like slamming anyone who has views left of your own, they aren't the only ones this new attitude affects. The fact you are trying to pass this of as some slight to any male who is "Liberal" is a sham and does a disservice to a very credible although disturbing shift in our society. People were carrying on about commercials so, case in point: Boston Pizza commercial. With the girl who is "a dangerous flirt". apparently when she walks by men can't function or focus on their tasks. They become complete idiots. In one 30 second commercial about 20 or so men are, for lack of a better term, "insulted" in this manner. This phenomenon is everywhere. It is womyns liberation in overdrive.

Gee let me think. There is this little place called Quebec.....Tell me again just how many childcare spaces have been created for the billions that has spent? As for taxes, cut the bottom tax bracket by 3%, instead of a gift to the rich with the GST cut. That isn't the issue. When your increases in spending out paces your economic growth it is a bad thing. No different than an individual getting a raise and spending 150% of what they recieved. They are losing out somewhere. Again your comprehension problem arises. Read what I posted. The context is what you thought of my previous post. And I really don't care. Is that clear enough?

I meant that he is not blindly following The Harper and his party. That he does not worship the ground that the Harper treads upon. You were insulting his loyalty the party, with no mention of policy. Ofcourse you wouldn't realize that. Because as soon as someone has a different point of view than you, they are labelled a "lefty". Yes Cutting spending and taxes seems very commonm sense. Cutting taxes and increasing spending seems idiotic. Wow, who helped you come up with that big word? Holy crap! This is a historical moment. You actually think The Harper has screwed up and needs to be held accountable. Unfortunately I feel these words are hollow, since your actions on this boards say otherwise. Again your actions on this board say different than your words. As for reasonable government, how much has this government done to suggest it is reasonable? Well any Govt. that curtails spending and decreases taxes is a good thing. Too bad for you that the liberals have shown to be better than the CPC in this area. Glad you thought so. Although I really don't care.

Tory Minister Racks Up $150,000
Who's Doing What? replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
$41,000 for one chartered flight? WTF did they rent, a flying version of a penthouse suite? There had better not be a seperate bill for dinner at that price. -
What? Is Geof not conservative enough to be in the same party with you? Just because he actually looks at something objectively and uses common sense and doesn't blindly follow whatever The Harper says and does? Get real. The Harper has screwed some things up seriously. Made some bad/dumb decisions and should be held accountable. Same as ANY political party and it's leader. You talk of shades of grey and yet the world according to you is blue and red. Either you are a chest thumping Tory or a crazy Liberal. Pot meet kettle, kettle this is pot.

So that makes it OK to target him for character assassination? -

OK so now that the actual arguments have run out, it is time to attack the person's character. Hmm...Republican Politics 101, chapter 2. -
CN Rail sues Mohawk protesters!

You don't need to sell land to make money off it. Casino, resorts, cottages whatever the scheme is the land is worth more in the long run than $60 million ever could be. -

No worries I did not take it as such. I know where it was directed. -

Who's Doing What? replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Ofcourse they want the land back. IN 10 years it will be worth 3-4 times what it is now. In two generations it could be worth 50 times it's current value. $60 million might be a good chunk of money if spread around between the band members but a good size chunk of land for each band member would be worth more. -

Um I don't think you understood what was said. There was roughly $100 million dollars worth of Freight that was affected by the one day blockade. Not that the company makes $100 million dollars a day. Now even if only 10% of that frieght was subject to a time sensitive delivery penalty then the Railroad could be still be looking at a million or more in late penalties. Good for the railroad to stand up to what are nothing more than a bunch of vigilantes out on a cash grab. -

How Much for Harper's Make-Up?

You mean like the sad, pitiable way the CPC constantly keeps *reminding* everyone how bad the Liberals were to cover their own faults? -
Tory Minister Racks Up $150,000
Who's Doing What? replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Uh, cause it's true? That isn't why it sounds familiar. Try to keep up. It is familiar because it is the only answer the CPC has for any of their gaffs, screw ups or whatever they are being called to account for. It is quite lame and tiresome. The CPC have been in power for well over a year now. I think it is well past the time to quit looking to the previous two administrations as exscuses for their own bad behaviour. -

So Van Loan says Liberals of the past have done worse(spent more) than the CPC's of today. Now why does that sound familiar? -
