As M. Dancer said, they treasure their social programs. So in a province that just loves it's social programs, creating a two tier healthcare system would be akin to falling on their sword for the CPC. I think they could take all their gains in Kaybeck and toss them out the window. Like why would the residents want to pay for something in Kaybeck when they could get the rest of the country to foot the majority of the bill, through transfer payments and other handouts.

Why do a majority of scientists disagree with you?You have to look at who funds the scientists. You also have to look at whether having a problem, or non-problem, is better for the purposes of obtaining funding. You mean like the ones that worked for the tobacco companies who told everyone smoking was good for you? Or the ones who work for oil and gas and are telling everyone that humans have no impact on the earth?

It is not that the Earth has never warmed and cooled throughout history. There have been cycles going on since the world had oceans. It is that this time it is being artificially accelerated by polution produced by man. That's all. Maybe if we cut back on some of the crap we are putting into the atmosphere the changes won't be so drastic, or immediate. Climate change is happening, and the world is getting warmer, there is no disputing that fact. The only thing up for debate is by how much is man affecting the change. Some people say next to zero impact others say it is a large impact. Regardless of the porportion if we are having any kind of impact we should be looking to minimize the effects.

I actually really wanted to, then you elected Dion and haven't produced a single reasonable policy since. I am the exact market of people that the Liberals need to win over to gain a majority. I'm not a social conservative (in fact, I don't even consider social policy), I'm an urban 20-something that could be categorised as a yuppie type, anti-war and pro-humanitarian and I'm completely politically independant and pragmatic, I have no loyalty to any party. If you can't win over my vote, your not going to win an election. I won't be supporting the CPC either by the way. I'll likely spoil my ballot or vote for something ridiculous rather than support either Harper's massive government ideals or Dion's joke that they call a political party. You can't even vote Green in protest now that they are in bed with the Libs. Seriously Geoffrey we need to start a new political party.

Personally I mock god because I find it to be an illogical idea. Religion began as an explaination of the unknown and has evolved into a means to control the ignorant, uneducated, scared, and/or easily influenced populace. Oh ya and the church leaders found out they could get rich and at the same time find victims for the sicko pedophile priests aswell.
