  1. Cue "Hail To The Chief".....the world should pay attention? The world pays atention to Microsoft, YouTube.com, and Moon landings....not the POTUS. 2007 is not considered an "election year" in the USA. Yes the world should pay attention. The man in the whitehouse has the power to, and the history of, using the military to further his agenda or deal with people he deems a "threat to national interests or security". Still with all that is going on with Microsoft, Youtube et al it makes me wonder why Canadian politics gets your attention. Oh right, not an "election year" just electing/nominating candidates for election. Every year is an election year from what I see on the American TV channels. If they aren't electing a president, they are electing a congressman, or a senator, or a DA, or a sherriff, or schoolboard officials, or dog walkers, or food tasters, or carny workers, or .....
  2. Why not? We've got many Canadian posters here who are obsessed by the evils of George W. Bush. Sauce for the goose and all that... Well it's like owning an F1 car and borrowing your neighbours moped. You have one of the biggest political landscapes in the world. In an election year. Corruption abounds. Scandels are occuring almost daily. High level officals are being investigated, indicted, and jailed. I would think there is way more than enough to discuss. As for G.W., he is a man who affects the world with his decisions. As with any American President the world should pay attention.
  3. Actually we're more like the rye. Ofcourse everything we poor Canadians have we've stolen form the good 'ol USA. Things like Standard time zones, Pamela Anderson and Jim Carey.
  4. So you are happy to be the symbol of what most Canadians don't want to become? Right on.
  5. More of a query than a complaint. But I can understand your misinterpretation. I imagine supporting Bush has a way of making things fuzzy.
  6. Canada doesn't have Republicans, inasmuch is it's a constitutional monarchy. And by the way, I'm a liberal Democrat. I know, I know and I know.
  7. Sorry you feel that way. I wasn't necessarily talking about posts were it is your opinions that you are posting. lmao Not questioning your "right to post". And we Crazy Canucks are so much more entertaining?
  8. Somebody had better go ask Harper exactly what he thinks. With all the flip-flopping his administration has been doing he probably supports stem cell research by now.
  9. And if he were a Rebublican, he leave you to beg for money on the streets, then throw you in jail for vagrancy.
  10. You give yourself far to much credit to think you are anything close to an obsession. An annoyance? Perhaps. An unnecessary voice from the peanut gallery? Sure. An oddity? Why not. But you are a long way from being an obsession. It seems strange that in such an active political climate as that of the USA right now, that an American comes to a Canadian political forum to get his kicks.
  11. Doesn't mean a Yank can't write a Canadian political advertisement. Have to wonder about a "Yank" who is obsessed with a Canadian political forum.
  12. Harper isEating your children; In his kitchen; At 24 Sussex Drive; In Ottawa; In Ontario; In Canada I'm not making this up. I'm not allowed to make this up. Choose your Canada!!! That's right. It is OUR Canada.
  13. It's rational hatred. So then it would only be fair to say the same goes for those who don't like Harper.
  14. ... as perceived and presented by English Canada's Toronto centric media.Harper doesn't have this reputation in French Canada and that's the tip off that we're dealing with perception, not reality. I would think the only reputation Harper has in Quebec is that of Santa Clause.
  15. Uh huh. And just when did you become Canadian?
  16. I beg your pardon, but just who the hell are you to bitch about any name we choose to call OUR Prime Minister?
  17. Lol! Sorry everyone is avoiding the true problem in Canada's case. I'm not talking about US ghetto's, i'm talking about Canada's specific situation. No one has got the right, factual reason yet. You mean the "right factual reason" according to you. Just going by your previous posts I would doubt you have a very good grasp of what the "right factual reason" actually is. I am pretty sure you believe it has something to do with them all being immigrants, or coloured or some other BS that suits your perspective.
  18. Seeing as how you brought it up, why don't you explain?
  19. No the onus is on you to provide proof that what you are saying isn't complete and utter bullshit. Just like when you quote an article it is your responsibility to provide a link to said article.
  20. Not a chance. 30% or so of the entire population of Canada wouldn't be cheering for the Sens. Then when you add in how many people hate Alfie as a player and wouldn't cheer for any team he was on, that number could go as high as 40%. The whole idea of "Canada's team" is a farce. I didn't cheer for Ottawa, and I didn't cheer for Edmonton last year either. I did cheer for Calgary in '04, and from what I saw a lot more people cheered for them that season around here than there was cheering for Edmonton last year or the Sens this year. I was cheering for the Ducks since last October. I am even wearing my Ducks hat from their 2003 run to the cup finals right now.
  21. Canada has no crack infested areas like in the US. Meth maybe, but past shootings have been over ciggarettes, and beinng disrespected - not crack and money deals. OK you're living a pipe dream. Crack is here and it is bad. Sure it may not be in the epidemic proportions of some US cities but it is far more prevalent and accessable than Crystal meth.
  22. Actually it is your resposibility to back up any claim you make with facts, stats, a link or some other means of proof. Otherwise people like yourself could just spout off about anything and never take any responsibility to ensure any sort of accuracy.
