You are correct, but do you think Yahweh to be a moral enough entity to judge righteously? Gnostic Christianity has tied righteousness to equality and that is why we are a universalist religion with a heaven but no hell. Proof of god is a moral question. Do you see the morals shown for god as good or evil? Religions tout themselves as being the final word in moral issues, even though secular law has rejected as too barbaric most of those laws. Not that they were original to Christianity as many of the older traditions had variants of the same laws. To me, a moral god would cure and never kill. That is the position Jesus took towards the non-believers. Jesus said to love all people including your enemies and if Jesus is Yahweh then he too must love all and save all just as Jesus would. Jesus would say that God killing instead of curing is evil. Jesus would say that God curing instead of killing is good. What good is a good god, when people want an evil god? The Gnostic Cathars thought themselves to be a peaceful good man religion and basically the only good non-violent Christians. History is showing that that was true. That is due to the fact that they did not war against other religions the way the other Christians of those days did. As Christians and other religionists will attest, and usually don’t, that all the religions in those days were war like and war loving. They gorged on blood and shit. Most except for esoteric ecumenist Gnostics, who warred with their mouths, instead of inquisitions, jihads and holy wars. Gnostics knew how to live in peace, but as history has shown us, the good die young and the evil grows threw murder and corruption. Hurray for the mainstream religions.
