  1. Oh... I don't know... maybe to be a key player in a fight that is actually important to millions of people and the whole world then retire to a quiet public life ? Or maybe load her pockets with kickback money before and during the current war ? My point is: why speculate about the important chess pieces when we are just pawns ? You will never know the truth in your lifetime nor will I. This also applies to people who believe so strongly in a Trump OR a Biden that they make characterizations of their good beyond anything useful...
  2. Well the "left" (and I suspect you mean Democrats, which is laughable) has no monopoly on hating the courts, judges, elected officials etc. This IS January 6th... We also have these: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cg5v5l4eylyo https://minnesotareformer.com/2025/06/17/vance-boelter-voted-in-2024-minnesota-republican-presidential-primary-records-show/ https://www.nationalmemo.com/michigan-judges-assassin-was-far-right-trumpist-but-not-militia-member The difference between me and others who draw conclusions due to affilations is that I would NEVER assign "nature" to someone who voted differently from me, had a different nationality, religion, or creed... It's not a matter of being moral or holy, just logically incorrect to make that jump. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/reemerge
  3. Nobody is targetted more than Freeland on Faceback, chiefly from bot accounts which I don't doubt are Russian-based. She was working to free Ukraine even as a STUDENT and the fact that she continues to be smeared online actually is a compliment to her integrity IMO.
  4. Thanks for the Info but to my mind I'm asking if he has a TrumpCoin account. Seriously has anyone explained this, beyond what @Barquentine posted below ? Because it's kind of a jaw-dropper to just accept this explanation, even if you are a Trump fan IMO.
  5. This from you: "You don't have to wonder, Trump said why. As to any further reasoning, I am not sure." So ... you believe that it was about neutralizing a narcoterrorist threat. I just missed any reason why the Honduras president was pardoned, and Rubio didn't explain it I'm not trying to aggravate you, and I'm barely following this story TBH. But it doesn't add up to me. If you have nothing to add then that's where we are I guess. Cheers...
  6. @User sorry I think I missed that your opinion is aligned with Trump on this so I have my answer on your opinion thanks.
  7. 1. Yeah, I don't agree. I think there's a qualitative difference in a group operation from NATO vs one that Trump does and rationalizes himself. 2. If you think that's a balk then fair enough. I don't think it's worth it for us to discuss because the discussion won't lead anywhere. You asked me to take Trump's explanation at face value, so that should tell you right off that we're not going anywhere with that. It's simple: I don't trust him. If you use that as evidence, it bodes poorly for a productive chat.
  8. 1. My assertion is that "might makes right happened in Venezuela". I told you why I think that. No balking. 2. I think I said why I think that. 3. Believe it or not, I don't take Trump's word as Truth any more than you take Kamala Harris'.
  9. 1. Yeah, I don't think we're going to have the same take on this nor do I think we'll convince each other. I am just asking what you think. 2. Ok - I'm not arguing with you here but I AM wondering why you think they let the Honduras guy go free when he was doing the same thing ? I'm not trying to put you on the spot - what do you think ? Tactical choice ? 3. I think it's a political play or maybe the Donroe Doctrine which has since been floated, which also is a political idea. But I don't know, it's a guess on my part.
  10. It was established, though that Carlson lied right? The passage from journalism to entertainment is the source of our problems right now IMO.
  11. What do you think happened? I'm not sure what the rationale is exactly. Best that I can come up with is that it had political ambitions.
  12. So your premise is faulty. Do USA people love war or not? If you're making that statement then you should see polls that say that the invasion is highly supported.
  13. Might makes right means that the ability to enact one's will is the primary rationale for doing so. I would put the actions in Panama and Venezuela... And probably the second Iraq war to be better examples than one such as Libya, or the first Iraq war where there was a coalition. But, yes, it's a factor in pretty much every action that's not clear self-defense. As I said in another post... I heard that polling shows Americans are against another nation building invasion. I guess we'll see.
  14. 1. Maybe, but we're talking about whether the people of the USA love war aren't we? Your point doesn't seem to support that they do. 2. Which was about wmd. 3. Support for the Iraq war and the Afghanistan war declined. I don't think Americans are going to be happy about this. I heard a report today that said polling shows they're not, but they didn't cite where it came from.
  15. Yes, the world existed. The Libya thing... wow I can barely remember... I think there was a civil war that they were helping to tip over but it was internationally based. So... might makes right maybe by committee on that one.
  16. 1. Uh... well there's no way to assess the truth of that statement. "Love" a war ? Trump and the entire Tea Party seemed to be pretty bullish on peace, by their statements so it's hard to reconcile that. 2. The most recent "debacle" I would say, militarily, was a withdrawal... from Afghanistan. 3. It's not like they're never in favour of war but what was the stated reason ? WMDs.
  17. It doesn't matter who they're against, might makes right. The thing about that principle I find confusing, is if someone buys into it.... It can be used to define any action or relationship they take part in. It says that the entity decides for themselves without external directive. I'm just exploring this because it's kind of a new idea to me, for it to be openly adopted as a Principal of international relations. Then again, maybe this isn't open. I haven't made my mind up about a lot of aspects of this
  18. It's been submitted that we're in a "might makes right" world now. That may be, but the superpowers won't be able to stay on top without a modicum of principles and goodwill. The American people themselves supported foreign adventures when they were either: -In support of American values -Self-defense
  19. 1. I don't know if it's the incident I saw video for. I made my claim thinking that I would be able to find the supporting clip. 2. My mistake. 3. I'm being honest. Not playing games. Admitting to errors in a discussion is honest. Few here do that, so I'm sure it's baffling. 4. I'll keep looking. Would you also admit that I have some basis for my suspicions based on the fractious nature of this reporter conducting his business? You haven't commented on my answers in the last post regarding his arrest, violation of peace bond? I would say that you should be acknowledging my points instead of not saying anything. I admitted many posts ago that I submitted a claim evidence and that's all you're talking about. Are you just trying to win? Or have a discussion? From above: "Sure... but if I produce evidence, I would say you have to comment on that instead of just asking me another question. Now you asking me questions post after post and not responding to mine... that would be a game. I remember Menzies from arrests in 2024. Looks like He was arrested 3 times January to April but charges weren't laid in every case: https://www.barrietoday.com/police-beat/no-charge-laid-in-incident-that-sparked-freedom-of-the-press-debate-8091418 https://globalnews.ca/news/10365546/police-arrest-two-at-protest-that-delayed-trudeau-event-including-rebel-news-host/ https://toronto.citynews.ca/2024/04/08/man-arrested-for-disrupting-pro-israel-demonstration/"
  20. I'm going to leave the part about a high percentage of admissions based on applicants because I have no dispute to your points. 1. They brought in for humanitarian purposes so this isn't surprising 2. We can afford them at some level, likely a higher level than we could a generation ago. If we're just discussing levels of refugees, again, I don't think I have much to dispute with you.
  21. 1. No, I'm not. It's easy to phrase questions in such a way that they're ambiguous, and when I ask you to rephrase, it should be easy for you to do so. I don't "support" or "unsupport" ICE, is my answer. Move on. 2. Yes, I think I already said that I agree that illegal immigrants can and should be deported. You already asked that. Ok, I have no questions for you and I have answered your question, let's continue on the other thread about The Rebel. We're making progress, thanks for rewarding your question.
  22. 1. I think the previous video started later, so this at least shows there's more to it. 2. 3. From 1. 2. 3. of my previous post, I asserted that I don't have evidence to back up my claim. " I don't have video evidence" 4. Well, if I was playing games wouldn't I try to say that I have evidence, or that I made my point ? No. I failed to prove my claim. That's some game I'm playing, to admit failure... 5. I'm not retracting my claim that such an event exists, just saying I can't prove it so - no - I don't expect you to believe. I'm not retracting my claim about Menzies having dubious tactics in his journalism, nor that The Rebel is an unserious outfit. 6. Sure... but if I produce evidence, I would say you have to comment on that instead of just asking me another question. Now you asking me questions post after post and not responding to mine... that would be a game. I remember Menzies from arrests in 2024. Looks like He was arrested 3 times January to April but charges weren't laid in every case: https://www.barrietoday.com/police-beat/no-charge-laid-in-incident-that-sparked-freedom-of-the-press-debate-8091418 https://globalnews.ca/news/10365546/police-arrest-two-at-protest-that-delayed-trudeau-event-including-rebel-news-host/ https://toronto.citynews.ca/2024/04/08/man-arrested-for-disrupting-pro-israel-demonstration/ 7. I think he was charged with violating a Peace Bond also. 8. Yeah, violating a peace bond is obviously a chargeable offense, no Police attempt to 'Silence Rebel News' would be necessary there, he was outside the law.
