No. A claim was made that he didn't say it and that it might have been someone else. Many people claimed that he did say it. The claim being made that he did not say it was by fellow brothers of his faith and his own special interest political agenda. Also, someone who wrote into the Toronto Sun said that he did say it and said the nominations were hijacked by people from the Islamic faith. the Liberal Party investegated this issue and buried it. I tried over and over to look for his letter online and cannot find it. I have a copy of his letter though in my email in one of my .pst files on a DVD. When I get around to restoring in Vista, I will surely post it. When it comes to immigration issues, I have facts and numbers. Something that no one here has. They have emotions and media spin.

True. That's a bad thing. But it would take too long to explain why. Nothing gets done in the house. Everyone knows this. Stuff in the UK DOES get done if you've ever seen the UK parliment. There is a common respect for each others ideas and MP's seem to govern for the people. It's much more functional. True, but there is nothing more pure than having the public decide on laws and tax increases. See this. (noooo! it's the PUBLIC deciding wether we should have our taxes raised and not elites! noooo i'm melting!!!) It doesn't matter who is behind the agenda, the PEOPLE vote. And they usually see through the agenda if you look at the results. Don't under estimate your fellow citizen. Californians voted AGAINST taxes being rased on tabacco in order to give it to healthcare. But yeah, all the voters are dumb idiots who don't know that big hospital corperations are behind this. That is completely false. Politicians here are playing petty politics and constantly running in elections so they can get seats and disrupt our political system which is NOT in the best interest of Canada. It's this very thing that is ruining our country. See my signature. So all the big cities with immigrants who do not consider themselves Canadian determine which federal party gets into power while the farmers and fishers and lumber people of our coutnry are not represented. This is becoming the death of our democracy. Political election should not be based of religion and immigration for relatives outside Canada. I agree. But it will not work under the makeup of our country. Our system would work in 1965 or if we were a united country, but it does not work when our country has been split up into regional minorities. See my sig. We have a non functioning demococy becuase it has been split up into a regional special interest. In the UK it works because the UK is 'British'. It does NOT work here becuase Canada is 'immigrants, french, west, east, islamic etc. The parlimentary system is perfect to base a city council off, it is not adequate for the nation of a whole country. I disagree. It's an idea worth voting on for the people to decide. Harper has so no right determining our democrocy in any way. See thisif you don't believe me. Then admit that you have been brainwashed over the years.

That's odd, it's the most popular form of government around the world. And so is soccer. They both suck. Parliment is good for Iraq, Iran, India, and other third world corrupt democrocies. But it's not good for Canada. This is democrocy But it's probably something you know nothing about.

Toronto judge has banished a Christmas tree
mikedavid00 replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There is a seperation from church and stae. But there is NOT a sepeation of religious VALUES and state anywhere in world. And there is nothing wrong with religious values. Shariah law is direct church entering into state. A christmas tree is ultimately a religious symbol, but if you ban that, you are banning all christams carols, ribons at the dollars store, and anything that has to do with teh 'holiday season'. -

heheh true. Poeple here on the forum don't understand the basics of an economy. This is what happens if we get taxed anymore or start wasting money on Kyoto. -
Are Rona's Days in Cabinet Numbered
mikedavid00 replied to Saturn's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well not really. It's her job to research and design the plan and her leader approves it. She most likely came out with the truth saying it was 2050. After all, it took 100 years to get here. It's probably a realistic plan. Harper goofed by thinking that the environment wouldn't matter and it wouldn't make news. The media will look for any crumb to attack the CPC (Lebannon etc). It just wasn't a poltically savvy move. So she'll have to take the fall. I'm sure she knows this. She'll get another misiters position i'm sure. I agree. But people don't even know who Dion is. And a lot of this is up to the media. The media in Canada back Liberal (proven). Yes. Ambrose didn't potray this well enough in the house. Neither did the Conservatives. Neither did the media. I agree. I think 2050 was real enough. People don't blame Liberals for anything. It's in our Canadian culture not to blame Liberals. They will. They need to run campaign ads and play off healthcare. Do you want our tax dollars to go into health care or international credits for other countries? And texas has oil refineries. Ontario burns too much coal, plus air form the US enters into Ontario from what I've heard. The CPC has to show voters that Kyoto is a waste of money. They need to focus on a major heathcare innitiatvie and upshot Kyoto. The voters know what's important, it's how the message is deliviered. And as I've said before, they MUST start playing to immigrants or they will NOT win a majority ever. -

mikedavid00 replied to Saturn's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Her problem is she's not a seasoned poltician. You can't tell people things they don't want to hear, even if it's realistic. Do you think the ministers of health on all parties know that they are in far too deep and can't fix the system? They know, they just won't say anything about it for poltiical reasons. Bob Rea is an extrememly seasoned politician. He is the only one peobably alive that could sell the public on a 2050 plan. http://www.bobrae.ca/en/aboutbob.php Ambrose's heart and integrity was in the right place, but she IS a politician and needs to tell people what they want to hear. The Liberals method was to talk, promise, talk, talk, do nothing, win an election, keep talking, keep promosing. This also works. But you can't have news headlines reading ANY kind of plan for 2050. It's just bad press. Her plan was realistic and wouldn't cost us a thing. But when your opponent is making the environment the #1 issue (which is ludacris) and leading in polls, you can't be telling poeple there's a 2050 plan. Also she didn't do a good job in the house. When she would get asked questions, she would refer members to 'read the website' for the full plan and sit back down. No joke. She had so many chances to turn the questiions back on the oposition but she didn't. It's just not in her. She's going to get the boot. I hope she learned the lesson about poltics and public opinion. -
That's odd, it's the most popular form of government around the world. I'm not concerned with Libia and Iraq's system. I would like to move to a US based system that promotes democrocy and governs for hte poeple. The Parlimentary system is ok, but it's too easy to take advantage of. It takes a group of people in the house that govern for the good of the country. We do not have this right now and over the years certain poeples have found out how to exploit this system for self gain to govern to their own agenda and not the people.

Toronto judge has banished a Christmas tree
mikedavid00 replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Oh but it's human rights. Just like SSM. It's all human rights. the people who determine the culture are the poeple, not the gov't, not a judge (as i've said before), and not the views of a select minority. If you are in favor for what you said regarding this tree, you relate the same thing to SSM. -

mikedavid00 replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
They actually have a stody that showed that 93% of athiests and non-christians have no problem with the Merry Christmas or the damn tree. It was what Wal-Mart based their Merry Christmas campaign off. Christmas is a relgious haliday. And you will see immigrants everywhere doing their family functions all up and own the street on christmas day. The mosques are also packed. Everyone who lives in the west loves this time of year. Why? Cuase it's the most wonderful time of the year. -
Hehehe.. Looks like I won that argument. Next issue please. (it's like Immigrants and refugees. no one beleived that these people could possibly use social services. After all, Canada has so so so many jobs for them. We're are dying for skilled workes. Then I gave numbers and that thread quickly ended.) Shall we go onto Kyoto next? Not the dog, the scam.

How can a nominee who's "supposed" to present all Liberals, be in such manner?, how does the Liberal Party represent such a person ?, for the first time Canadian voting is now based on religion. Also the Head of the Riding, was fired ONE DAY before the election by Caroline Parish for leaking out important and private information and "Violating the Canadian Privacy Law", how could that be?, how could he become the head of the riding? Many people who live in the area went on the elections day and were notified that their names were not there !, whilst others live in Markham and were allowed to vote !!!!. True Corruption was apparent." Mississauga News You can read the whole convoluted story here. THanks for the link. I read the thread. What's entertaining is how people sat in denial even despite first had accounts from people that were there. "Two things to note here. THREE people who attended the meeting have verified hearing these statements. It takes some courage to make those allegations and given that ALL THREE of the people making the allegations were SUPPORTERS of the person in question you have to wonder why they would make this up."
-
Yes I'm aware of all this. This came out after Omar confirmed there was no audio or video. Now, we can take all the Canadians who are impartial and gave testimonies that were there who posted THAT NIGHT to the CBC, Or we can listen to Mr. Azad. Hmmmm... descisions descisions.

David Ragheb, a member of the congregation, reported that following Alghabra's victory speech, Markham Councillor Khalid Osman took to the stage and declared, "We have the east, we have the west, and now we have Mississauga!" to cheers and applause from the audience. Ragheb also reported that Rogers Cable was present throughout and may have filmed the event. "A member of parliament is supposed to represent my concerns about taxes and roads in Mississauga, not promote an Islamic agenda," said Ragheb.
-
The Ottawa Citizen reported on this but then said that they could not get a verification on it because it seemed only to be mentioned in Conservative blogs. That's not true. There were numberous people who were there that wrote into the newspaper and posted on the CBC website at the time. Not only this, but someone who had a membership did not get his invetation and had find out from someone else that the nomination was happening. When he went, he said that the room looked to be made mostly out of people that were of middle eastern descent. He basically told the Sun that he felt that the Liberal nominations were hijacked. I was like NO REALLY?
-
Oh God. Ok. The CBC website has a riding discusion forum. But it will only keep a months worth of posts or so. Now, BACK WHEN OMAR WON, the poeple who were at the membership race posted on the CBC forum. Somone coppied the forum and pasted it on another website so people can see what people were saying during that time. Do you know what I mean? This story is VERY common for anyone that was around at that time. http://www.damianpenny.com/archived/005428.html

Canadian Charter, Multicultural Heritage & Tony Blair
mikedavid00 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Sounds like a case of racism, but one old lady's prejudices can hardly be applied to everyone. If you're only interested in anecdotal evidence, my sister in law married a Sikh man, and I am married to a man of East Indian origin. Don't let one old lady turn you against everyone you assume she represents - she doesn't. Well actually I had a sikh ex also whose parents did want her with a white guy. They wanted to her arranged with their own kind. I feel this is backwards and if you do not want your children marrying outside your languag/religion/skin color than they should NOT have come to Canada. And this is after 30 years of living here. Looks like we have something in common as far as my fiance is concerned. I said before that i'm trudeaus dream. But these people are older and came during a diffrerent time. They integrated back then. The kids and parents these days seem to be very un-accepting of new cultures and religion becuase there are so many of them here now in extrememly large communities. In Ottawa they were very well integrated, but these days.. some of my co-workers I had.. man.. the can't even communicate in basic Enlgish.. 15 years in Canada and we had to fire one guy becuase after a month on the job we realized he couldn't speak/read/write English because he was so ghettoized in his chinese community. And the dude came at 14 years old. And i've experienced reverse racism many more times than that. I also get 'tsk'd all the time in Toronto when at the mall becuase people don't like the fact that my fiance is with an 'outsider'. I feel these people should leave Canada. It's that simple. We don't need that here. -
Harper runs the country like a king
mikedavid00 replied to Saturn's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And my point was that Christians will vote outside their religion. Islam is another ballgame all together. Canada does seperate church and state depending on what some here might think. Islam does not believe in the seperation of church and state. It's fundemenatal to their religion. Thus, I have a non functioning riding so I do not take part. -
This is a forged website. No it's supposed to be like that. It's what people were saying on the CBC after it was said. CBC has a section where you can talk about your selected riding. Just go on google and there will be a million hits on it. Some American websites even took interest in this. It's not an interesting story as it could have been because what he said wasn't 'caught on tape'. Well it probably was, but it's at a muslims house and he is certainly not going to share it with you. I can't beleive that you never heard of this. This was big news a while back and was on the talk radio stations here in Toronto and in all the newspapers.

And he also closed lots of hopitals too... and he cut welfare payments. And why did he do all this? So that he could buy some votes and we'd end up paying for it through the nose when he's retired and sitting on the boards of 20 or so companies. No. He did all these massive cuts because a federal Liberal leader by the name of Jean Chretien made the largest transfer payment cuts in the history of the world. 40% cut to the provinces. Jean Chretien was the most Conservative gov't I think we've ever had. Mulrouny is someone i HATE. Make no mistake, I hate Chretien too... and also Martin. But Mulrouny I just hate him a lot lot. He was a true corrupt dictator of the country.. oh goodness I hate him. They say Mulrouny foresaw that Canada was going to be a services based country (which he as right) as manufacturing was moving off shores so he took the hidden GST tax already there and brought it out to the public. Thus, the Liberals were put in a good position to get the extra money. Not only that, but they made MASSIVE cuts to the provinces. Manning said that he wanted to pass legislation that would make it illegal so no PM could ever do this again. The media spin was that if you bought a washer or dryer that was made in Canada, it would now be cheaper. Back then the media really didn't present both sides the way they do now. Back then they just re-spun what the parties told them to say. Of course, no one asked the quesiont 'since when did Canada make washers and dryers?'. Most stuff was always made off shores for the longest time. Then there was free trade. Yeah good move!. Now we have businesses like Starbucks that do NOT benefit Canada at all and take away all the marketshare from Canadian owned business that could have run against Second cup. (i'm trying to be simplistic, you get the idea). Wal-Mart is better than Zellers I know. But how long can Zellers compete with Walmart? What does Wal-Mart provide for Canada?.... umm.. a bunch of minimum wage jobs? What does Zellers provide Canada? Shipping, marketing, packaging, courier, tv/radio adveritising, printing, publishing, investements, accouting, hr, customer service, and so, so many more jobs for Canadians. White collar jobs. Outsourcing to Canadians firms Etc. Walmart has the same jobs too, but all those office jobs are in the US. When we shop at Wal-Mart or Starbucks, we are just sending money back to the US. Now, Canadian businesses have gone under, cannot compete with these American businesses, and now every mall has the exact same American franchise shops in them as we work our customer service jobs and play second fiddle to the US. THANKS MULROUNY. THANKS A LOT FOR RUINING THE COUNTRY YOU DAMN IDIOT.

Stockwell Day touts benefits of global warming
mikedavid00 replied to normanchateau's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
poeple always get touchy when I bring it up that's why I don't like to. People at work were taking the IQ test so I did it too. I got 136 and didn't know what it meant. Poeple were like.. do you know how high that is?? i was like no.. they got in low 100's. (these 3 guys all had their masters too). They saw the print out as proof and couldn't beleive it. So then I tested my brother and girl I was seing at the time and the scored in the lowsih 100's also. And I noticed that people got very defensive. I read what teh scores meant and found out I had a higher IQ than a Ph.D or M.D: 125 Mean of persons receiving Ph.D. and M.D. degrees 115 Mean of college graduates 105 Mean of high school graduates 100 Average for total population 75 About 50-50 chance of reaching ninth grade But.... All the IQ does is test an on-off switch in your brain for logic. It means nothing. A high IQ will not get you anywhere in life and it does NOT mean you have a strong memory retention which is what doing well in modern school is based off. I would rather have suprior memory retention than IQ any day. The IQ will help you sove a puzzle, but it will not help you remember answers that you read a night before to pass a test. THe latter is much more importanat if you want to make it far in education. The only real smart that matters is the smarts that come from living life. Well take my 'Very Suprerior Intelligence' when I say that our current immigration system is ruining our country. -
Well it's the truth. That's the fact of the matter. Even if it wasn't my work collegues, it's still factually proveable that immigrants vote Liberal. A guy once said that some people can't handle the truth. It would be the same as saying 'Quebecers vote Bloc and Liberal'. it's just fact. There is choice? Well I wouldn't say so. Who is going to represent you in parliment if you vote for Green? All NDP and Lib do is cause vote splitting and minority gov't. so it's good for CPC. You tell me how that better. As a liberal fan, you should know all about how Omar hijacked his memberships and then made this speech. It was even investigated by the Liberal Party of Canada. You can choose google to read all the articles, but how about from the people that were there: http://canadiancoalition.com/AlghabraOmar/...ryForIslam.html Read below of why I said I don't vote in my ridingg: "I have previously voted liberal, and waited for a strong liberal candidate to be selected to run in our riding. When Mr. Alghabra was selected and noted that this was a "victory for Islam" I was very disappointed. I am a Christian, and would have no problem voting for someone who is a Liberal candidate, and who happens to also be a Muslim. I am not willing to vote for someone who is first dedicated to being a Muslim because he does not represent me."
