http://www.asianpacificpost.com/portal2/40...28c13bf.do.html Canada is doing nothing about this. Basically there are ads running in Korean newspapers. For $22,000 you will be flown to B.C, and they can have their baby at our hosptials for citizenship: "Wohn and his travel agent partner in Seoul were promising pregnant mothers medical check-ups, delivery at a Vancouver area hospital, two months of postnatal care, a return flight, a local guide providing services ranging from airport pickup to getting the baby's birth certificate, social insurance number and eventually Canadian citizenship. I don't have a low opinion of France, UK, Germany, Italy, Japan, etc. Realize that only Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and USA are really the only people that allow you to become a citizen withouth a parent being born there. This is to protect the economy of the people and it's worked very well for them. Don't get me wrong, you can get a permit to work there (very rare), but as soon as it's expired, your expelled from the country. A friend of mine got his Italian citizenship, he had to go through years of red tape. DNA samples, lawyers, urine samples, proof of documentations, lawyer fees. It was supposedly a nightmare. He almost gave up on it a third way through. This went on for 2 years. Europe is extremely protective of it's immigration policy. And the rest of the world? ha.. good luck even getting a work permit. They simply don't let people in. -
On all my arguments I look at the other side and argue myself. For instance, I hate Chretien and Martin. However, there are very solid arguments to suggest that they did less to ruin the country than Mulrouny and I would have to agree with that notion. My emotions run higher for Martin and Chritien, but Mulrouney really did ruin our Country. There is a logical argument for a minority of poeple, to dictate the rights to another minority, meanwhile, the majority has absolutely no say. I understand that. There is a valid argument for why you should take away drivers licenses from law abiding teenagers that act within their right to drop out of school. Yes i know. it takes a villiage to raise a child. People like Saturn and Geoffery are not able, or maybe not at the maturity level to be able to do this. Thus, they have extremely contradictory, flawed arguments which are not backed by numbers or fact. I on the other hand, have backed all my arguments with logical fact, proof, and numbers. Not emotion and idealism. "Learning to work with the 'establishment' is a sign of maturity". - that's the truth.

Look closer. Only the management is in the hands of the province. The real issue is the funding.

Manning gives two cents on 'Quebecois' nation
mikedavid00 replied to Leafless's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Quebec is more than Quebecois, the Quebecois are a nation, Quebec is not. I agree. Also, to show that i'm the real multi-cultural one here, my fiance is from Montreal born and raised. We drive from Toronto down to Montreal often. We sat during the Jazz festival last summer on a patio (because you can smoke on patio's in MTL) and there was a French Canadian girl Jodi.. or Julie or Josie or something like that. She kissed me on cheeks when saying by. French are very personable, very friendly people. When I first started dating my fiane a couple years back, I would sit in the car in traffic and I would be like 'I HATE Toronto!'. She would agree. I would say I HATE Ontario. She would agree. So one day.. I thought.. hmmm... So we're in the care on a nice day just driving down the street and I'm like "Quebec SUCKS!' and she was like "HEY!! TAKE THAT BACK!" It was funny. Sometimes I'll be downstairs and say semi-loud "Montreal Sucks!" and all the way from upstairs I'll hear "HEYYY!!" And despite her high taxes, and despite her socialism/communist ways, I shall always adore the clean washrooms, her cheap beer, the lovely french culture in Quebec! I head over the Jean Cartier brdige and head onto Rene Levec blvd and then to a cafe where you can smoke and listen to jazz. I do find Quebec to be the best place in Canada. I'll go on the record as saying that. I highly recommend you see this below to fully appreciate what I'm saying: http://www.bloc.org/archivage/heureusement_pub1.wmv -

Hehehe... WEll anyhow, that argument and the real issue at hand is not similar. Also, MOST countries in the world only do allow born children to become members of their country. Again, most EVERY country in the world. Go to Japan and try to get a citizenship without marriage or your parents being a citizen. Try that in India, Pakistan, Dubai or anywhere else in the world and see how far you get.. hell, even in France. -
Manning gives two cents on 'Quebecois' nation
mikedavid00 replied to Leafless's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
In Québec, nearly half of its citizens do not want to associate their "Canadian" identity or support to the "Canadians". That's about 10% of the population of Canada. They have over 50 MPs representing them in the Commons. Does that mean that Canada is not a nation? Canada cannot be defined as a nation, no. To add to this, suprisingly Stalin has the most accurate definition of nation I could find, "A nation is a historically constituted, stable community of people, formed on the basis of a common language, territory, economic life, and psychological make-up manifested in a common culture." That is not Canada. I do believe that is Quebec though. I beleive French Canadians have their own culture and nation. -

Canadian Charter, Multicultural Heritage & Tony Blair
mikedavid00 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Uh huhhhh. Yeah, sure. And what culture is that? Just look here on the board. Look at how people will put someone who does not consider themselves to be Canadian before a fellow Canadian. The fact that people on this forum believe that someone who landed here and barely speaks English should be in line for a liver transplant at the expense of a Canadian. There is a culture of self-hate.. a culture of empowering the people who don't give a damn about us.. a culture of loving those who are here to abuse us.. a culture that is based off turning any little difference into a minority and then to pander to that... a culture of opening our country to all others in an attempt to fill a 'void' on the world stage in order to feel important, even if it's at our own demise. -
I approve of it from a political stategy like a hockey lineup to win a game. But it's not acting on behalf of the Canadian people. It's just pandering for votes so he can win. I hate Mulrouney... just thought I would mention that.

Laughable. Becuase he could not have been sent to Syria. He had his Syrian citizenship with him when he was caught so the US sent him to Arar's chosen home. Simply laughable. My brother just took a look at this and we've just spent the last 2 min laughing and talking about how rediculous your last statement was. Security is almost entirely based of citizenship and immigration policy. You want to know the real truth of why 9-11 happened? the REAL truth? Becuase the US allows internation students from terrorist countries into the US. That's the factual reason why it happened. Now suprise suprise, there has been ANOTHER fogeign nation caught as a student to the US. It was all over Fox and CNN this week: "Authorities Probe Foreign Student Seeking Commercial Truck-Driving HAZMAT License Mullawala, a 28-year-old citizen of India who is of Pakistani descent, is now in federal custody in Massachusetts on immigration violation charges.... Crawford started documenting suspicious activity: Mullawala lived in New York City but traveled to Rhode Island for the driving classes; he missed his first day of classes; and he was very insistent on getting his hazardous material transport license. Investigators learned that when Mullawala obtained his driver's license from the Rhode Island Registry of Motor Vehicles, he gave a false statement indicating he was a Rhode Island resident. ICE then determined he was a citizen of India and in the United States on an expired temporary student visa. WOW, THERE'S A SUPRISE! I won't feel sorry for the US if they get attacked again. I completely agree. Us paying 37 million dollars to someone who shouldn't even be in our country is not acting on behalf of the pople. LEAVE ARAR - GET OUT. -
The Conservatives have funded womens groups, have given public $100 welfare payments to all families with kids, they've given funding for more public programs, they have not done anything about our immigration crisis but instead have pandered for votes, they have given money to the Chinese for head tax.. they've gone spending crazy.

Uh, that we have all these problems in health care because Tony Clement is an immigrant? No. That one person should not be charge in the life and death descision making for the country. http://www.calaborfed.org/pdfs/Healthcare/WalmartandRest.pdf

Harper must expose this treachery
mikedavid00 replied to B. Max's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Did, done but you missed it. The only thing you've proven so far is that you don't like the facts. I second that. Saturn, Jdobbin, and the Libs like their own emotions, but they don't like facts. -
Toronto judge has banished a Christmas tree
mikedavid00 replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
A pakistani muslim called out newstalk 1010 today. He said that he feels that it's very good the tree was removed. Then he won the draw for a $200 LCBO basket (Basically a basket of wine and alchohol that he won't be able to accept). I guess someone should sue newstalk 1010 because they are discriminating against Muslims that they can't take part in the prise and that it's discrimitory. Aww come one.. i'm sure there's a Canadian judge that would rule in favor of the mulsim. -
Toronto judge has banished a Christmas tree
mikedavid00 replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There is nothing wrong with some religious values. Hehehe.. I meant to say that there is nothing wrong with someone believing in his own religious values. I feel that Islam has the ability to be detremental to our society if followed by rule. There is no other gov't recognized religoin like this in Canada except Islam. We must watch our society and keep it to what we would like it to be. -
Lol. "Following Paul Martin's assumption of the office of Prime Minister, Dion was dropped from Cabinet, in large part because of his association with the outgoing Chrétien"

I consider the CPC as a left wing party. That is FAR from right wing. \ Liberal is far left, NDP borderline communist.

YES I AGREE. Canadians need to realize that poeple from other countries are NOT entitlesd to be here. This is our country with borders and protection. -
I disagree. Saturn if left wing. Saturn wants society to do everything Saturn agrees with. Saturn believes that Canadians cannot think for themseves. Saturn must have the control of everyone beleifs. Saturn believes in appointed judges, is anti-religion, and feels judges should dertime what society does. Yet Saturn likes Christmas trees. So Saturn will a disagree when a judge bann's a Christmas tree. Canada should be the personal beleifs of Truedau, Chritein, Martin, and... Saturn; a Liberal.
