  1. No they aren't. Poeple who are life Liberals and NDP care about the environment. There is a population of swing voters that are most likely happy with Harper becuase he majorly hasn't screwed up yet and will vote for him nextime. Look at that post where I showed how close almost 20 ridings where to Harper winning. I think he'll get that many seats at least. 1000 people being polled through all of Canada just don't represent those close close ridings where CPC almost won.
  2. Do you think healthcare benefits are free? The cost of healthcare benefits increases the cost of doing business for employers which is as bad as a tax. That's idealism. We need to open up private healtchare hospitals and insurance. Old people, people that are well off would buy their own insurance that would help offload the system immediately. Over time, and God willing our economy got better, employers would fight for employees and pay the $300 a month it takes to get them. They already offer dental and eye glasses don't they? So in time they would offer healthcare. Of course, employers need to be desperate to find and keep people which they are not.
  3. sigh.. Click here to see a garden hom in Norway that sells for $315,215 Click here to see a hom in Atlanta that sells for $330,000 Don't go down this road, you will lose the argumet. We've been through this argument countless times on the news groups back in the day. The USA is the richest, best quality of life in the world.
  4. Idealism, not reality. People who are well to do would purchase private plans at first, if the economy was to get better due to a stopping of needless immigration employoers would offer healtchare benefits in order to compete with each other and lure in good full time employees. You'd need to give it time though.
  5. I would use the PPP index to more accurately measure the quality of living for the average person. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_count...P%29_per_capita
  6. Interesting that the feds spend nearly $200 billion on two programs- health and education- that are largely the responsibilities of the provinces. Yes, I know much of that is kicked back to the provinces, but it does raise the question of why the feds are involved so deeply. A one-word working theory would be: 'control'. Yes. they do sent it back to the provinces. And this top down style gov't doesn't work. They want full control and don't trust how the provinces spend their money. They give more money to the welfare provinces than to the proserous. The feds need much less power and need to stop playing 'daddy' to everyone. Let the provinces run their own things and learn from their mistakes.
  7. I somewhat disagree. We would have 20% less taxes if we were to have a similar system. Thus, we would have 30% taxes which would help the economy. The gov't does not encourage small business. The gov't does not de-regulate banks. We have the most protected banks in the world. The president of the Bank Of Canada introduced Paul Martin at the Liberal conenvention. This is very troubling to me. Look, the economy is very complex. Most economists do not agree with each other. No economy is perfect. It's a balancing act of gov't regulations that set the climate for a certain economy. It's never perfect. Not in the US or anywhere else. There are many sectors and sub sectors involved in the economy. People will take personal experiences and attribute that to the economy. Some people say that Canada's problems are all income trust related becuase they lost money on their income trusts. Another will say that we should rely of foreign investment becuase that's how their sons current company is funded. Another will say that we need a made in Canada solution becuaes they can no longer get business loans. Another will say it's taxes. We need lower corperate taxes. Then another will say income tax needs to be lower because it stops spending in the economy. Facts are, it's all above to some extent. There's no major one thing that is killing us. What I *can* say, is that we are becoming a welfare state to the world. We increase social services spending year after year. We have a decreasing amount of full time jobs and have lost over 50,000 in the last 5 years, yet have let over 1,000,000 people into the country in that time. We can say that the gov't has a spending porblem, not a revenue problem. You can't blame them for the spending problem becuase we are a welfare state. We can say is small business is the #1 employer in Canada, yet we do not promote realistic small business loans to our citizens in order to create employment. This is cause by elite run banks. The gov't role is to govern and keep a good economic climate. It looks like the Liberals in the last 12 years didn't do such a good job after all.
  8. Well since Trudeau it doesn't seem that any long plan term has worked. Atleast we now have some sort of plan to eleminate our debt by 2015 and environmental plans by 2050 which is more than realistic. We can all go into shades of grey and chase our tails. But things don't get done like this. It's a positive to have a firm stance on things. Try to date a guy and have him look too deep into the relationship and treat everything as a shade of grey. It usually doesn't work out well. Meet a man who has a firm stance and believes in commitment; you'll have a better outcome with black and white. We have all gone into shades of grey and acklowedge that both sides are in the wrong. But one side is more wrong than the other. Isreal is the only democratic country in the area that does not want to wipe other poeple off the face of the earth. The same cannot be said for a lot of it's neibours. Thus, we support the side that we hold most true to our values at home. Islamic countries will support Jihad and side with the terrorists. Lines need to be drawn in the sand. Understanding and love and peace doesn't work in the real world, but only in ideolegy. Yes, believe me, I do understand the terrists and why they do not like Isreal. Yes I agree that Isreal has broken agreements and rules. Yes I am more than aware Isreal is like a 51st US state. We all know this. But we cannot let ourselves be sympathetic, suppprtive, or imparsial to terrorism. No matter what Isreal does, they will always be attacked because kids have been bred since childhood and brainwashed to wipe Jews off the face of the earth which is wrong. There's nothing Canada can do about this but openly condemn this terrorism and support the state of Isreal. And for you to find this a negative thing is unfortunate. Gays have all the equal rights that straight people do under marriage. The enironment is not a huge thing. Canada makes only 5% of green house gasses and are not even in the top polluting countries. We should worry about our own waste and polution sure, but that's being done right now. Soon electirc cars will be common place and coal burning plants will be shut down. these things take time. Things are fine for Canada. There's nothing else we can do. Canadad is a clean, environmentally safe country that has almost nothing to do with greenhouse gasses. Most of our land is vacant and non-poluting. The sky is not falling, the world is not going to end. The above statement is the reason why I said that you do not have knoweldge on a lot of topics. If you did, you'd realize Canada is an extremely clean and friendly country that in no way is creating the worlds polution. You'd also know that Kyoto uses questionable computer software that many see errors in to determine green house gasses. Many think it's the sun rays causing this which is a normal cycle of the earth. In the 1980's it was the 'global cooling' ice age, now it's 'global warming'. It's questionable at best, either way, Canada plays little role in these problems which compared to other countries. It's a civic duty as a Canadian residing in Canada to vote on Canadian issues. You should be concerned formost with your fellow citizen dying on a hostpital waiting list or waiting for an organ transplant. That should be your greatest concern - not Isreal or China's polution which is out of our hands. I agree. What riding are you in? It doesn't sound like your in a high immigrant area. So you are telling me that you work for a large company with 200 working people people, are in BC, that hate Harper, yet they are all white Canadians? That sounds very suspect indeed. Do you live in Camloops? Why should we be neutral? Yes I understand that 'one persons terrorist is another persons freedomfighter argument. It doesn't hold much weight. We live in a violent, cruel world. There are agressors, and people that do not want trouble and want peace. Isreal does not want trouble, they want peace. We should back the people who want peace. We should not be sympathising with terrorist agressors. Are you sure the Lebanon incedant has nothign to do with that? Another athiest, far left, conspericy theory, Michael Morre loving Lib. Lol.. all the same really. The culture of our country should be for the people to decide. Not for a person named Trudeau to write his cultural ideas down on a napkin. I disagree. Then tell me where there are so many daughters in Surrey getting arranged marriages to other indo-Canadian second generations? Who's the racist? Why are there so many of them with 'nick names' to describe white Canadians? Why is there a stadium packed with 30,000 people, mostly second generation to see a bollywood actor from India? Green house gasses has nothing to do with Canada. It's not our problem, if anything, we're get the brunt of the problem if the GHG theory is true. Have you met Marc Emery?
  9. 9 of 10 jobs created in Alberta have been part time. Even anecdotaly looking at job postings at workopolis for private sector, white collar jobs, there just doens't seem to be many. I do not believe in Alberta growth boom. A housing boom, influx of people, and part time jobs because more Tim Hortons and Wendy's are being built from investers outside the province means nothing to me. That's just my opinion of course that I'm sure everyone disagrees with which is fine. Make sure everyone gets a degree and higher education - that's the key. (/sarcasm off) We need to stop purposely saturating our schools and job markets with people looking for work. That's a first step in the right direction. Alberta has a healthy, natural economy, not a GREAT economy like Australia. This is because Alberta doesn't get 200,000 people entering each year with no real skills or job prospects. Canada is becoming an international welfare state for the world to take advantage of. People won't agree, but if things continue, we won't be able to afford the loss of monies from these tax revenues. We are spent up the gills on healthcare and social services. I would argue, we need to spend 300B on healthcare from the current 100B we are spending. Do not confuse what I'm saying as I agree with taxes. I'm just trying to make everyone aware that we are in a crisis situation or very close to a breaking point becuase we have a gov't spending problem. Not in the context of a city mayor having a spending problem, but in the context of millions of people are using services and the money has to be spent or poeple will loose services. The gov't needs all the money they can get their hands on right now to give services and pay off the debt. We are in a serious rut right now. I gree. For 15 years I feel we've slowely headed down hill and people are now beginning to realize that we're in trouble. I just don't think foreign investment is the solution. I agree. We need to completely eliminate our immigration and refugee program and bring in private healthcare. The US spends 12% of it's gov't resources in healthcare, we spend almost 30% and are not providing service. This is the crux of our porblems. I agree. I feel we need more of a made in Canada solution though. I don't think foriegn investment and business is everything though. If I can entertain you with the story for a moment. When I worked at Microsoft, me and a Syrian co-worker got into this craze of wanting to buy a corner store. I don't know why. We found a lot of private business for sale like cofee shops, corner stores, some dollar stores. etc. they were from $70,000 to $200,000 etc. These businesses basically will prove that they generate x amount of dollars per month. You buy the business, take out a loan to pay for it, and then pay it back with the revenues made from the business. So I started research this online to see how financing worked. We had $20k to put down at the time so figured we could atleast get something. It was fun. I was dreaming of opening a resturaunt and living the Canadian dream. My cousins in Ottawa and family friends own many diners and private businesses in the food industry so it just fealt natural. What I found is that the gov't had a small business loan program (like any first world country should) in order to promote small business. Here's the way it works: You go to any bank that is part of this program (all major banks) You get the loan on the banks conditions. If your business fails, our gov't will pay the bank back on your behalf. So you are probably thinking, yeah so. This is normal for all first world countries. Why didn't you just take the loan? We give out car loans and now even mortgages with no money down. Big deal. Were you afraid? Chicken out? bock bock! No. To my shock and amazement, the Royal Bank, TD, wanted 45% of the total money down for the business loan, DESPITE the fact that that they were garunteed to get their money back from the gov't. The interest rate was also higher. The lower interest rate, was the inhouse loan that required 55% of the money down. Needless to say, I was in shock. So I asked the guy 'how is it that all these small businesses are around. No offense, but a lot of these people who own stores look to be in poverty themselves'. He said that they use family money or borrow it from their parents. I then asked why they need so much money down when the gov't is garunteed to pay them back the full amount, he said 'that's just the way the rules are set from up top'. He said that the people who do it themselves use the equity in their home and some savings. Basically, if you have $200k of proven equity in a home, only $135K will count towards the loan, and ontop of that, you can't base the whole loan off your equity, only 35% or so of the downpayment can be used from equity. The Bank just wants your cash upfront pretty much. He also said that it might be that they figured only serious people would take the loans if they demanded cash up front. Not only this, the bank judges your business. They want you to purchase franchises because they have a higher succes rate. They also want a detailed business plan preferably by an outsourced party. I was laughing on the inside in amazement. I told him I was just amazed under the cirumstances that they are garunteed to have their loan paid back. After I hung up the phone I realized for the first time, This country holds back it's own citizens. It's an elitist driven dictatorship that wants to see the common person fail. It reminds me of an Islamic country where the leaders keep their citzens brainwashed and poor in order to keep themselves in power. They want their citizens to have a dependance on them, need them. This is when I saw things for what they were. The gov't and elites at banks don't want you having your own choices, they don't want you to get your own healthcare or organs, they want you to depend on them for everything. They don't want to allow competition between banks. They merely dictate to us, and stick to their circle of elites who run things. I can't live my dream of opening a Canadian resturaunt and helping the economy. They will dicate to me where it shall be open, what type of franchise it will be, and finally, the social status I am before I am allowed to open it. Just like the 1985, you needed 25% downpayment to buy a house. If you didn't have it, you weren't of the 'social class' to be buying a house because you were't born into money. I guess I needed to be born in the USA to have any kind of dream in life and make them come true.
  10. I spent a couple hours on this. I ran an analasys on last elections results. I have below ridings that the Liberal's won, but only by a narrow margine. If Bloc won, and second was CPC, then it wasn't included to make life easy on me. People here are very privliged to see something like this. So basically, on the first example, the CPC need 29% more votes from the Liberals in order to win the riding. I appologize for the poor formating, it's the best I could do with this forum edit window. There are 20 seats that are under 15% and should be an easy win for harper if he keeps up his performance. Dions team know that Libs will move to CPC for next election so their best bet is to pull over NDP voters. That tactic could very well save ridings like the fourth listing of 12011. While Dion will loses seats, he'll also gain some from Quebec. Still, CPC's 40 seat possibility is a good thing. It will depend on Harpers luck and timing when the election comes. Also, alot of these are not high immigrant areas, more working class swing areas. My prediction is nothing becuase a terrorist attack could happen. Anythign is possible. Too early to predict if he'll get a majority.
  11. But you know what, look deeper into what she's telling us. She's obviously a hardcore lib from Vancouver who is not educated on all the issues (no offence BC Chick, just being honest). Represents most voters, but she just can't really find anyhting THAT much to hate about him just as I predicted people would do. She even said at the end she might vote for him and had tones that she was ore or less satisfied. Remember, the Canadians vote for the devil they know. They vote against partyes' not for them. This was showed in her post. That's a VERY positive sign in the CPC's favor that a lib from Vancouver would say this. Hmmm.. Ok.. I'm goign to Elections canada's website. I need to find a spreadsheet or table that shows ALL political ridings and the results of the votes. What I'll do is go through each riding in Canada, select only those where CPC and Lib ran a close race, and the CPC lost. Becuase if Harper keeps his performance up, I do feel that he will gain seats. It's feasible he could even get a majoirty. But I need to determine fantasy from reality so I hope I can find that source data.
  12. I completely agree.
  13. This is common knowledge. This is why they have done the passport thing. Plus they have voiced concerns that we have too lax of an immigration and refugee policy. Everyone in the US knows this too. Even when the 18 terrorirst were arrested. "Canada has long been known as a country with more generous social services for refugees and less stringent asylum laws." - Fox news FOX NEWS APRIL 8TH 2004 - MENTIONS MARTIN - HERE'S WHY WE NOW NEED PASSPORTS "Canadians who criticize their leaders say security and counterterrorism are still not high government priorities even though an intelligence report just concluded that every major international terror group has a presence there. And some terrorists are believed to view Canada as a place to seek refuge, raise money and plan attacks. Former Canadian Ambassador Martin Collacott (search ) blames a lax immigration policy and growing anti-American sentiment that views the U.S. War on Terror as heavy-handed. "It's been made an issue by some people saying if we do this we're giving in to American pressure and we're eroding Canadian sovereignty," Collacott said. "No we're not. If we can't control our borders, we're not controlling our own sovereignty." The Bush administration is hoping that a new Canadian prime minister will help change the tone north of the border and perhaps will work to close the gaps in security that many insist are putting the citizens of both countries at risk"
  14. Ask the US that. They said that he's still banned from the US and considered a threat, regardless of the political RCMP report. They based this off their own data on him which they are not sharing with Canada. 9-11 Hijackers Hani Hanjour "Hanjour's bank records indicate that he travelled to Ontario, Canada in March 1999 for an unknown reason." Nawaf al-Hazmi "Police detective Mark Longo said Alhazmi entered U.S. from Canada and arrived in Cody, Wyoming on a Sunday afternoon"
  15. "We had 1000 jobs a day. That is the kind of job creation that we have never seen in our country before. "We are just coming off an extraordinary base." Of course I have to look futher into those job numbners to see if they are fulltime jobs. Found them. Wow simply amazing: "Full-time jobs grew by 43,400 in April, and part-time jobs by 12,800, while in March full-time jobs increased by 39,200 and part-time by 27,800." Yes. They seem to be having legitimate job shortages. I can tell just from the job postings but these numbers for full time employment are simply amazing. See guys, I base my stuff of facts. Real numbers. Not emotion.
  16. You think that immigrants are responsible for the majority of heathcare costs? Oh God. Everyone pays insurance for cars each year. The money they collect each year goes towards paying other people who make claims. The chances are you won't make a claim this year. One day, you will most likely make a claim that will cover you. You've paid into the system. It's a group effort from all drivers to pay into the program in order to make it work. Now what happens if each year there is a 5% increase in claims. Your insurance will go up a little bit. Now what happens over 20 years? Eventuallly, you wake up and realize that you are paying double for insurance and not getting back the service you paid into when you need it. While this isn't a perfect example to use for healthcare, you get the basic idea.
  17. Should we ban Americans from our shores too? Think about your answer before you reply. Well they are making us use pasports now just to go cross border shopping. They are doing this because they said our immigration system is too weak and poeple in our country pose a threat to the US. Arar is a perfect example as well as the people from Canda who went to the US.. and, and on that fateful sunny morning, Flew the planes into the towers. Guyser?
  18. "The Dakota Community Centre has come up with a solution: it will cover trainees' costs of taking the power engineering refrigeration training, as well as pay trainees' wages, as long as they promise to work at the Dakota rink for a year afterwards." And this is what happens when there is a LEGITIMATE shortage. People will bend over backwards to take anyone off the street. They won't be picky and choosey. Keep in mind, this is just one single position.
  19. I think they already have worked. Do you support Islamic terrorists? Its' too bad, becaue there are WAY, WAY more important things to worry about here in Canada than those 2 last things you listed. Is the envionrment and gays THAT imporant to you over money directly in your pocket and help if you have children? Dion is against GST cuts, he's against $100 going into each families pocket. Dion will make promises and get nothing done. The Liberals had 12 years to get something done with the environment and did nothing. The Liberals play politics, they govern to their own Liberal party agenda, NOT on behalf of you as a Canadian. Harper is on yourside, and he govern more on your behalf than any other party in the house. You shouldn't concern yourself with the world, focus on home, focus on Canada. we have many problems here and I would consider a few crisis situations on our basic services. The world can stay where they are and stop coming into Richmond and Surrey. Yes. Becaue you most likely live in a Liberal/NDP strong hold as I do. Listen, people who immigrate here to Canada care about immigration and getting more of their relatives over. The ethnic newpapers preach hate on Harper and thus that view gets circulated in those communities. Immigrants do NOT vote for the same reasons you do. And how many of those people are immgirants/visible minorities? Answer honestly. So the most important things in these peoples lives are gays and anti-Isreal.. Pitty. I wouldn't say Canadians understand federal fiscal issues for the most part because they are so used to having no say in these issues. They probably don't even understand that 50% of their money goes to tax in order to put into other people pockets. I also don't think Canadians are very socially progressive. That is what the gov't wants you to beleive. I would put it at around 50/50 progressive. I also don't think it's the govt's role in any shap, way, or form to dictate to us what our social culture is about. People in BC simply don't want to assimilate. They have no need or desire to want to be Canadian or speak English. Vancouver BC, Marc Emery. BC Marijuana party. Although I don't do drugs, I just love watching Marc Emery and his BC Marijuana party stuff on UTube.
  20. I agree. I support the mission of course, but I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel I guess. Most Islamic killings are with other muslims in order to gain political power. Even where US has no involvment, these killings have been happening like this since Soney and Shiah factions were created. Even if it's all Sonie, the proped up Afgani gov't will be seen as evil betrayors and attacks will always continue. I don't think we have the ability to change their mindsets. This enemy is a new enemy. A type that will kill due to brainwashing. With all of our problems at home, I feel we should just protect our borders and stop these people from further settling in Canada after our mission is complete. http://www.islamicinstitute.ca/documents/IITBrochure.pdf http://www.islamicinstitute.ca/images/construction_001.jpg http://www.islamicinstitute.ca/images/construction_004.jpg
  21. Well I don't see any realistic IT jobs in the province of Alberta actually. The whole province of Alberta listed 170 jobs from private companies and just in my Toronto suberb alone there was 40 job listings. If there was a mass shortage, there would be tons of listings. So yes I do see a problem. For instance. This is a simple job that basically anyone with computer knowledge can do. Especially a new grad. This is basically a phone support position. A very, very, basic position that many poeple here on the forum could probably do. This is listed as a 'Jr.' Level position. Let's look at the job tasks: POSITION FUNCTIONS: • Assist with moving computing hardware and associated reconfiguring • Installation of new and used hardware units and components • Troubleshooting problems, performing diagnostics • Coordinate warranty/ post-warranty repair of hardware and accessories • Updating, escalating and closing of Tickets in various systems • Maintaining customer supplied “Hot spare” and parts inventory • Track manufacturer defects, patches, revisions and notifications and inform customer when applicable • Able to work some overtime hours completing office moves Again, simple, simple work. Now lets look at the qualfiication you need to get this basic entry level job. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • A Technical Diploma or University degree in Computer Science (A degree?? For this kids stuff?!) • A+ Certification (so they must have a degree, and a certification! lol!) • Warranty authorizations for HP, Dell, IBM, Toshiba (good luck) • Minimum of 2 years working in a deskside capacity (2 years for an entry level position??LOL!!) • Knowledge of an incident and problem management tool such as Remedy (This is one days training) • Strong Windows XP OS knowledge (sounds like this is all that's needed to be honest) • Strong troubleshooting skills (again this and the above are all that is required for the job) <rest snipped> Now lets look at a simlar role in Australia where there is a legitamit, healthy economy and job growth: Help Desk Co-Ordinator -strong problem solving and communication skills -good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications -Competency with Microsoft office software – word/excel/email is required Experience in a PC customer support role or similar environment is desirable. If there was truly a job shortage and shortage of skills, this position wouldn't be so demanding. In 1998 the above was pretty much my first job. They didin't require anying but 'knowledge'. Yes there was a tech boom at the time, but do NOT try to say that there is some boom going on right now in Alberta. There simply is not. There might be a part time, low wage boom, but that's all. A degree, 5 years experience, and like 5 certifications. Last job I got offered was $50,000 but was too far to commute. Pay used to be based of experience. General experience in a field - not exact experience. A new grad should be making around $36,000, but a full time employee. And then get raises each 6 months. Someone with 3 years experience should be seing around $50,000 a year. There should be NO experience required for a new grad. But why don't you just admit, there are no jobs for new grads trying to get experience. Why? Becuase (drum roll) THERE'S NO JOBS! There is a LOSS of jobs in Canada, and requirements are stiff because there are too many poeple looking for the same jobs! Yes, that's because they are lied to in school and everyone in U thinks that they are 'high cast' members of society. That USED to be the case 15 years back, but not anymore. I don't want the golden goose, I want reasonable pay for my experience as a Canadian. It's the reason I'm a Canadian and live here. This country is based off borders and jobs. It's really that simple. That's what values a country. I encourage you to hire some new grads with no experience. Let them learn on the job, let them develop their skills and stay with your company. Invest in Canada and let some grads live their dreams and get experience. I think your mistaking me for someone else. But you are proving my point which I like. 6-8 years experience are senior postiions which are always in demand in any city. I would put it to you that you could get good grads to easily handle these jobs. You just refuse to invest in Canadians and let someone learn on the job. I completley disagree. I'm looking, and I can say for certain there are no shortages or white collar jobs at all. If there are, they want far too many specific qualifications that very few people have. If they DO find peopple with those skills, they are going to pay him below what he's worth when you are comparing the same to USA (which is who we should be comparing ourselves to). I'm not entery level myself. Unless you think i'm someone else. Entry level grads should be getting a job in their field. Forget about nursing and gov't paid professions. We talking about white collar, private sector, entry level jobs. Not BLUE COLLAR, Not GREY COLLAR, but WHITE COLLAR. I gave you the reasons above. There are no jobs. It's the same old senior level stuff. It's not a pay issue, it's the issue of wanting more than the job really requires or employers refusing to let employees learn on the job. . For the most part, I completely disagree. You do not start around $40k. You start as a head hunter making peanuts. $10 with bonuses. I openly challenge anyone reading this to look at this Australian job posting: http://it.seek.com.au/users/apply/index.as...1&JobID=8335510 And then gotoo: www.workopolis.com And find ANY job in Canada that even remotely has a listing like the above. You wont find one. We have too many poeple in Canada, too much education in Canada, and too many people in Canada looking for the same job. We saturated our own population and have devlaued our own jobs and education.
  22. I think the goal should be for them to protect themselves without our help. To be honest, as long as there is Isamic groups wanting power, they will go after it. It's only a powrer struggle. Your dealing with brainwashed, ideologic fundamentalists. It will never end. I feel we should just leave at this point and stop letting in people from terrorist countries into Canada to secure ourselves from this threat. 9-11 only happened becuase the US let's people from terrorist countries into their country. There really isn't another way to say it. I know it's a very unpopular thing to say, but it's true. What if there wasn't that informant here in Toronto who arrested the people in my neighbourhood who bought the tons of fertalizer and took part in training campls. This is going on here too. But we do it to ourselves. I would love to have the Arab world be free and spread freedom. But it's proving to be impossible. I mean.. people from other countries will insurge into another country in the name of islam.. completely brainwashed and ready to die. It won't change in those regoins. They mostly kill each other. Honestly, they have to settle their own problems. A lot of people (muslim people) I know think it's only going to happen when the oil runs out and they are left with nothing. Then the people will rise up and fix themselves. And many lives will be claimed but it needs to happen. I feel we should bring back all the troops, fund them, let the police protect themslves, and see what happens. If they get back in power, oh well. We just won't be letting them into North America for security reasons. Iraq's a different story. I think they are almost ready to take care of themselves. Maybe a partition of the country is called for to seperate the Shiah's and Sonies. 10% of Muslims around the world are estimated to fundamentalists. I feel at this point they should not be coming onto North American soil due to the nature they attack. It's an unpopular opinion but I'll prove myself right when Canada gets hit. What is everyone so afraid of? Let's protect ourselves and leave them be. Be patient and they will fix their own problems.
  23. I never said I knew for sure that she was cheating welfare. What we do know is that she was indeed on welfare and her name was not on the lease for her apt. I just said that people commonly do this in order to cheat the system. I never said that she did it. I don't have access to those records. Also, I never claimed I knew the motivation for every immigrant coming here. Never once. They are coming here becuase we let them come. That's why.
  24. That's what most poeple have realized. These are not sane, rational people we're dealign with. They are brainwashed and nuts. I would love to see Iraq and Afganistan get freedom, but you can only help so much. It's amazing to think the the insurgance is so strong that we've used all these resources and they still keep coming. I mean, how many taliban is there left? At the end of the day, I would like poeple from Terror recognized countries to stop entering in Canada and the US. I don't need to live with this threat here and we can more than function fine without these people on our soil. It's shocking.. simply shocking when a co-worker from work tells me that he has 3 friends from Pakistan in Texas as international students. I'm sorry. I will not feel sorry for the US if they get attacked again. Canada I can understand becuase Canadians have not woken up yet to certain realities, but US? Sorry. They should learn not to threaten their own security by letting in people from terrorist recognized countries to roam free on student visas. Update: I forgot to mention that all 3 of them are in Canada now. 1 got a really good job close by my house, and the other 2 are students here I think. Each will be getting arranged marriage to secure citizenship so their parents can come. They all tried to look in the US and could not find any girls willing to marry them which was funny. I helped try to find some girls on the web for them, but they never got responses from any families (probably becuase these girls who are American citizens most likely get thousands of inquiries).
  25. I comletely agree and thank you for the quote. She also didn't believe that people who seek refuge from Somalia collect welfare. I pretty much gave her proof and she disgregarded that too. It's not good to let emotion over ride facts.
